  • 100 people, exactly, perished. From the moment the pyro went off to the bitter end was approximately 3 minutes.

There were other exits but unfortunately very few people used them, the "natural" reaction being to head away from the fire and towards the front door.

    Such a shame...

  • there is alway s a chik in black lace on the cover of this albums...!!!

  • Great song to die for!!!

  • Didn't they vow to never play this song again?

  • @FangsOfTheNidhogg

Never heard of such thing! Pleas explain, I'm dying to know! :D

  • @jmati86 Well they had a concert where they opened up with this song, and their manager set off pyrotechnics. The pyrotechnics set some soundproof foam that was around the stage on fire and the fire spread throughout the venue and the whole place was ablaze in 7 minutes. Over 100 people died, including their guitarist, because the main exit/entrance was too narrow and people got stuck in it and either got trampled, suffocated or got burned alive. So they vowed never to play this song again.

  • @FangsOfTheNidhogg Yep, then they decided to start playing the song again.

  • Great song, to die for..

  • The sound of the gods, so AMAZING SONG. the best.

  • CAN anyone let me know the tab for this?

  • @bksl09 There is none on internet :/ or can't find it...

  • @bksl09 Google that shit i found it right off

  • Wow, that's not good.

And as to glam rocks fans, as to Western Civilization.

  • Always been one of my favorite GW songs (not that I can't find a lot more of their to call favorites). I like how it's totally fun - sort of Beach Boys meets sex, but with cooler guitars.

  • heavy rock 1st class ! δεν θα ξαναβγούν τέτοια συγκροτήματα, απολάυστε αυτο.

  • Not being a jerk- I can't see how the band could ever play this song again... I realize the fire & deaths had nothing to DO with this song, but OMG, how can this not bring sick memories back for the band? So sad that we remember this riff as the last thing Ty ever did... :( And the last bit of music certain people ever heard.. OMG OMG...

  • @Suzisueful Thanks for ruining it for the rest of us that didn't know what song was there last that night.

  • @steelpanther831 Hey, whatever dude, I guess I just figured it was SO higly publicized, the footage of the incident and all, that anyone who was a fan of Great White would've already known!

  • @steelpanther831 Actually, it was mentioned by someone else prior to my comment, so it didn't come straight from me.

  • @Suzisueful Thanks for reminding me AGAIN 2 months later! You really don't want me to forget do you? that song is ruined now forever. AAAHHHH!!!! let it R.I.P. like the rest!

  • @steelpanther831 Also, it would be worse if you actually sae the footage of the nightclub fire itself. You would not forget, it is on YouTube, but I highly don't recommend it to you. I saw it on the news years ago. I refuse to watch it again.

  • @Suzisueful Oh, lol, well, sorry about that, but someone else wrote something here to me, and when I came back to reply I noticed ALL the other messages talking about it. Sorry to have been the bearer of bad news, but it is likely you'd have heard it from some sourse at some point... though your reaction may have been delayed! Sorry dude! =/

  • @Suzisueful There was a long time afterwards when they didn't - couldn't - play that song...

  • @wahaya2 I can see why, but for me personally, I could never again, all I'd think about was morbid thoughts, even when I hear it now, it makes me nauseas. It used to be one of my favorite songs...

  • Not being a jerk- I can't see how the band could ever play this song again... I realize the fire & deaths had nothing to DO with this song, but OMG, how can this not bring sick memories back for the band? So sad that we remember this riff as the last thing Ty ever did... :(

  • 0:46 wow...that's not good

  • @Sanderj89 yeah I remember that. My Mom used to work at a burn hospital for children and she had adults in there from that fire. Too bad that happened though and sorry about Ty Longley if he was someone lost in the fire.

  • @dcfanchris ....Ty was in Great White at the time..... I think he had taken the place of Michael Lardie in the band.

  • I'm pretty sure this was the tune they were in the middle of when the nightclub fire happened in Rhode Island.

  • song of freedom from a time of freedom.

  • Fantastic tune by Jack Russel´s band! Originally released on GW´s 5th studio album "HOOKED"(1991).
