lol how can you see the drivability of this car, its just a bunch of clips compiled together with no engine noise, no hint of shifting,no cold start, no idle/ac/alt compensation, doesnt show any drivability and doesnt show any times, compleate waste of time.
i still cant believe my dad. he had a 05 300c leased. and when the lease was over he wanted another and he test drove the srt-8 and said it was to fast.,,sigh so he got a slower 300c then he had b4and it came with 24's heavy ass rims.. i still; cant forgive him for that :/ put i still love him
The car must actually be slower in the quarter than its horsepower would normally allow, due to the chassis not being set up specifically for racing. So if I was the builder, I might not be too proud of the timeslips either.
and the new hemi blocks are only 360 CI blocks, cute huh? there not 6.1 lt hemis only 3.7. thats l.a. series block numbers
but dont get me wrong, any engine with a hemispherical heads is gonna whip ass, just look at fords copy-cat engine the 426, thats when nascar got good. can anyone back me up on this?
I don't know about that, cuz the 6.1L Hemi SRT8 engine is between 364 -370 cubic inches, the 6.1L Hemi in the new Challenger is rated at 370 cubic inches, GM's LS2 is 6.0L and 364 cubic inches, and a 3.7L is a V6, cuz Buick's Grand National engine was a 3.8L V6, the smallest V8 was 267 cubic inches/4.4L, but at the same time, the V6 engine that came in the 1980's models Chevy Monte Carlo's was a 4.3L so I guess it depends on the way the block is manufactured.
That was a bracket race.. The mustang has a faster 1/4 mile time than the 300.. Hints why it started later. And its sad that they didnt show any times or if the white fox body won or lost..
I really hope it's not bored to 426 like the title says. The 6.1 is aleready bored from 5.7 by dodge, the walls have gotta be paper thin. I hope they just meant stroked.
That is completely incorrect, the 6.1L block is a completely different block design from the 5.7L block....and I know cause I own a 426 cubic inch bored and stroked SRT-8 Magnum...
actually!....... in the real muscle era, the 426 hemi was only rated at 426 horse power, BUT!.... in a 1969 charger with a hemi, original. mind you, the horsepower to the flywheel is.........................................800HP! no shit. no im not kidding. yes im fer real. and it was all for insurance reasons. NOW YOU KNOW!- bill nye
Doesn't seem much faster than my SRT8 supercharged!?!

stroke + bore
walls is not very important but if is too thin it need to have performance cooling system
