@lfhdez - I found a torrent of it. Problem is, it isn't this version. It has the full orchestra backing, and none of the interview stuff...I think this one sounds better. If this from the limited dvd set?
Live performances are so tight from this band. Love the vocal harmonies. How often do you see recordings of live studio sessions that sound this good? I'm so glad to have found Elbow :)
Quick question - I've been looking for the entire video file of this performance, but all I can find is the Abbey Road with the full choir and BBC orchestra. Where can I find this entire performance?
Do I have time? A man of my calibre Stood in the street like a sleepwalking teenager No. And I dealt with this years ago I took a hammer to every memento But image on image like beads on a rosary pulled through my head as the music takes hold and the sickener hits; I can work till I break but I love the bones of you That, I will never escape This may be my favorite verse in all of music.
Fantabulous!! Kept listening ,cnt keep away my ears, and happy that i downloaded the entire album for free at DownloadMusic/./im , remove the slashes..
WOW!!! I'm going to buy everything they produce. 35 years of playing Bass I haven't heard many songs like these. The dynamics, intelligence and conviction.
We need to forget about how american music has monopolized this world, and bring forth more world wide oriented musicians, so we can appreciate what the world of music can really give us.
I'm so glad I found this, they are wonderful. His voice is very similar to Zucchero....
I don't think he was trying to say it was rubbish he is just saying that there is too much american music in the world which is fine but there are good bands from other parts of the world that hardly get any credit
In a world where random crap bands that can't sing at all get nominated for awards, better guys who don't rely on autotune and such devices are left in the dust.
yeah channelfavorite, when you hear this dude sing, he's the fucking bollocks! just like doves though, these bands are tooooo much, best bands out at the moment, best albums at the moment!
I was enroute to the Monday night Boston concert and someone told me that elbow was opening and I was surprised that no one had heard of them. Their show was brief but they certainly were spot on with their performance of some rather tonally complex music.
It's took me a while to realise elbow are actually a great band. Musically they are streets ahead of everyone else, they mix a slightly classic style of music with catchy hooks and riffs and lyrics that the youth of today can understand and relate to. Great band.
it's just a musica connection. stella and guy are both really talented & she's helped and been around the band quite a bit. obviously it shows, but yeah, guy & emma are the real lovebirds.
This is their finest song. Better than sex. If u are over 40 the sense of exqisite ennui of an unfulfilled relationship from a million years ago can catch you in a second by just a brief moment or two of an old song is delicious. K I loved the bones of you.

It's such a shame that they are opening for Coldplay. Elbow is a billion times more deserving and creative. All the power to them. Coldplay can suck it.
I have been a huge fan of Elbow for years and am glad to see they are getting more recognition! I decided to bite the bullet and buy tickets to their show in L.A. in July even though I live half way across the country! I might have to road trip to their other concert in Wisconsin too!
A reply to everyone saying positive things about this amazing band...Guy Garvey writes the most beautiful lyrics...he speaks volumes to anybody who ever felt love or hurt after losing it...Great songwriter, just brilliant xxx
agreed they are amazing! before winning the mercury i thought theyd be yet another under-rated class act but am glad others are now njoyn the genius of Elbow
this song is my favorite elbow, sort of radiohead chords and solo, the vocal presence is awesome, love the Latin vibe percussion, and of course Elbow's very poetic and aesthetic lyrics
