  • RAM, Period.

  • I figured u were a colts fan, because his best years were with the rams

  • @backcrackattack ED didn't play for the rams when they played the steelers dummy!

  • Eric Dickerson was, and always shall be, a Los Angeles Ram.

  • Best years were in LA

  • Georgia Frontieri wouldn't give Eric what he was do and the Rams suffered because of her. The Superbowl between the Rams and the Steelers would have had a different tone had E.D. remained a Ram.

  • @backcrackattacka e.d. wasn't there in 81

  • my names steven dickerson eric dickerson is my dads brother i am texarkana arkansas rb fo 8th grade going on to 9th

  • fuck the indy colts. the real colts are the Baltimore ravens, they at least give respect to the former greats of the baltimore colts. You won't ever see a raven wear the number 88 like that disrespectful doucher Marvin Harrison

  • Comment removed

  • you know i'm right loser. thats why you have no real retort to my post.

  • he had a small upper body in reality he was built like a wide receiver he just wore really big shoulder pads to make himself look huge

  • nah man eric was tall for a runner of his day esp 6'3 and 220...220 isnt a little back actually he was heavier than AP.

  • yeh but it was all in the legs he wore huge shoulder pads to make his upper body look massive when in fact it was small trust me Erick Dickerson didnt have a big upper body it was all in the legs

  • a real runningback, had the neckroll hip pads sticking out and goggles. my man!!

  • you said. i remember him and craig james as the pony express at SMU. Craig James has a story about how they were the top 2 high school RB and when Eric saw Craig at SMU he said "you're a white guy?" pretty funny.

  • my mom knows him

  • no she doesn't

  • ya boi dats my cuz on da real

  • someone compared LT to Eric Dickerson. LOL Jim Brown in the man but we forget about OJ. OJ was the coldest running back ever. He crazyness off the field mad us forget about how great he was.

  • the pony express

  • Eric D was the man 2105 yards in 84' still an all time record!!

  • my dad played football with him

  • @123tld Did Mike Leach also lock you in a closet at Texas Tech?

  • @Noclone dont know who that is so you lose at life

  • He's from my town!

    Sealy ,TX!!

  • ANY GUYS UP?

seen it yesterday! lets chat Gg

  • Hello!!!! his best years were with the Los Angeles Rams, not the Colts... but can someone tell me the name of this song? I know it's from the 1970's, most likely an NFL film song...

  • The Over the Hill Gang from Autumn Thunder: 40 Years of NFL Films Music

  • I thought it was from the "six million dollar man" during one of his runs.

  • I met ED at a Rams game a few years ago. He was on the sidelines working for ABC at the time I believe. I was wearing an old school blue and yellow jersey and he said "hey dude, that's old school like I wore" then he shook my hand and we talked about the game. It was a brief conversation, but I have to admit, I was a little star stuck since I grew up watching him. By the way, I have big hands, and when he shook my hand it was like twice as big! Dang.

  • uhhh Dickerson is Erics Real Last name i would kno cuz he's my uncle and he's engaged to my aunt

some of yall need to get ya minds right

  • he's your uncle and he's engaged to your aunt?

  • Damn and i thought Adrian Peterson would shatter his rookie record...but Peterson can't run with 8 in the box

  • any videos?1*

  • What about the rams you have to include the rams in a Eric Dickerson

  • WHERED U GET DA MUSIC ITS GREAT!!!

  • 1) Eric Dickerson

    2) Walter Payton

    3) Barry Sanders

  • 1)erick dickerson with 2105 in 1984

    2)jamal lewis with 2066 in 2003

    3)barry sanders with 2053 in 1997

  • True, I just think those three are the all time best RB's in the NFL's history so far.

  • Don't forget OJ Simpson. He had 2003 yards rushing in 1973

  • He also has armed robbery and a double murder.

  • Yeah, but that was on astroturf!

  • That is my cussin on my grandfathers side

  • great music but lousy pictures. Would have been great with video

  • couldn't touch his first 5 yrears

  • i LOVE my uncle Eric his daughter is sooooooooo cute! i hope to c them in the summer!

    ily eric!

  • Its funny how marshall faulk and eric dickerson played for the colts and the rams lol.

  • If Dickerson didn't hold out all the time because of contract issues, he would have rushed for 20,000. He was that GREAT. The Rams couldn't pass for shit when he played and still rushed for 2105 yards in 1984. AMAZING.Top 5 back all time.

  • wow because everyone wants to see clips of erik

  • Dickerson was great but the best ever ? No Doubt Jim Brown...

  • no way jim brown is the best i meani can think of a few backs who were better like Barry Sanders, Earl Campbell, and Emmit Smith

  • check out robert murtha #34

  • the best ever PERIOD... HOW BIG WERE DLINEMAN IN BROWNS DAY? AS BIG AS FULLBACKS ARE NOW.HE WAS ALL THE RAMS HAD AND TEAMS STILL COULD NOT STOP HIM.THE RAMS NEVER HAD A DECENT QB UNTIL HE LEFT. TAKE YOUR PICK FERRAGAMO,KEMP, brock,DILS,EVERETT.ED NEVER GETS THE INK HE DESERVES.period

  • picture slideshow =/= a video

  • Dickerson's best years were with the Rams, then he got beat all to hell when he went to Indy. Still my favorite back of all time.

  • oh p.s. I luv the music whats it called seriously

  • He's my uncle I live in indianapolis and erics wife's name is penny sutton who's my aunt and erics my uncle!

I saw his house in calabassis CA his house is huge!

I have a colts and a la rams autographed by him too!

  • eric dickerson is my 2nd cousin. I know his brother Leo Johnson. I have eric's signature.

  • 'Colts' RB Eric Dickerson ?

    Don't make me laugh!!!!!!

Once a Ram ALWAYS a Ram...ahhh, if only you'd seen him in his L.A prime.

  • ED is traded in one of THE all time boneheaded trades in professional sports courtesy of John Robinson, coach of the Rams @ that time. Who would you rather have at running back - ED or the dreaded Wendell Tyler?

  • Sealy, TX Home of Eric Dickerson

  • My father says this is the best highschool playter he has ever seen.

  • SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST OF ALL TIME

  • Damn and i thought Adrian Peterson would shatter his rookie record...but Peterson can't run with 8 in the box

  • Damn I thought I was going to watch a video clip..this is shit

  • He was a Ram. I cried as a kid when he left LA. Hes an arrogant prick who cared more about the money. Fuck him

  • lol

  • The.Best.Evar

  • Dickerson will always be considered a Ram.

  • Yup. Screw Peyton Manning.

  • yeah yeah hes from sealy TX

  • u know whats wierd the 2 best runningbacks for the rams (Marshall Faulk, and Eric Dickerson) came from the colts

  • dickerson originally was a ram and was traded TO the colts in '87.

  • "Over the Hill Gang"

  • What is the name of this song?

  • Colts

  • I remember Dickerson playing for the Rams..the guy came in the league tearing it up.. he was on pace to shatter all rb records.... untilhe got traded...and showing still pics dont do his running style justice

  • All I have to say is that Jim Brown rushed for 1848 yards in a 12 game Season... and averaged 100 yards per game for nine years... Argument over...12 GAMES NOT 16

  • no one was comparing dickerson to jim brown and no one was arguing, what are you talking about? Im a football fan from inception to present and i study the game and yes brown was the prototype, respect...but im talking about dickerson when he came into the league. so stop jumping to conclussion and assuming my statements meaning.

  • against defenses that would like high school teams compared to today's defenses. im not saying he wasnt good but i dont think u can compare the two cuz of the time gap

  • r u serious. the time gap even stresses the point more because the hits that he took were much more brutal than today, facemasks, clotheslines and all. He also averaged over 5 yards per carry...for his career.

  • r u serious. the brutal hits stress the point more because it shows how undisciplined and unorganized the defenses were. Yes they may have tried to hit harder, but that actually makes it easier to run. The harder u hit, the more u commit. Defenses back then were often silly looking, and simply dont compare to defenses now.

  • i still think brown was more talented though even so

  • i understand where ur comin from, i play defense, but we do agree brown was more talented. No matter what Eric Dickerson is one of the greatest of all time, along with MArshall Faulk, Barry Sanders, Marcus Allen, Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, and several others.

  • For sure. While Dickerson was spectacular, there was just something super human about Brown. I think it was his unbelievable balance.

  • why are these fucking stupid ass slideshows on here......ONLY MOTION PICTURES NOT SLIDE SHOWS AND SHIT!

  • Dickerson rushed for over 1,800 yards as a rookie and an NFL record 2,105 yards in his 2nd year. He was a sensational player.

  • "you run 32 gap"...that comment ended his tenure in LA...too bad. He could have broken the record and put it out of reach IMO.

  • I never actually got to see E.D. play but how would he compare to today's L.T.?

  • I say he's better.

  • I've never understood why people put together slideshows as video clips.

  • what was messed up is that the rams ran the single back system - Everyone knew Eric was getting the ball but couldnt do anything about it My Fav along with Barry

  • You got to respect players who have to do more with less. LT gets too much credit on the Chargers.

  • can you say high knee runnin

  • My favorite player of all time...Cool video.

  • I am a true Eric the Great fan. The colts are cool. Like imacoltsfan says,if you don't like the format don't watch. The slideshow is cool and what makes it even more dramatic is the (NFL FILMS) music score. Keep doing your thing.

  • Thats my uncle!!!! I got 2 jerseys from him when I went To his house in California!

  • Eric is my cousin on my grandfathers side he's from Sealy, Tx .Hey that means were kin I stay in Houston

  • Eric could have and should have been the all time rushing leader. It is sad that his contract dispute led to him being traded from the run, run, run Rams. With a bit more hunger and devotion, he would have been regarded as the best ever. To watch Eric run was absolute poetry. So graceful and smooth yet with such power and speed. 6'3 220. He was the total package.

  • Rushed for 1808 his ROOKIE season and then a ridiculous 2105 his second. Both NFL records. Greatest two year stretch for any RB (Campbell comes second). Had on and off seasons after that, but Dickerson was probably the most graceful RB ever.

  • WTF! i thought it was a video not a damn slideshow

  • Thought wrong.

  • Dickerson was the fastest man to reach 10000 yards rushing, I'm a Ram fan and I was crushed the day he was traded.

  • He was the first to wear the extremely popular running back facemask.

  • would people stop posting stupid slide shows and post actual videos? slide shows have no entertainment value

  • It's very easy. Don't watch.

  • his first two seasons in the league were amazing. in his rookie season he broke the record(and stills holds) for most rushing yards by a rookie and was the league's rushing leader. then next season, he broke the all time record for most rushing yards in a single season, 2,150. ever since then, he has gone downhill and had average seasons. he did have good seasons now and then however. nonetheless, he was a great running back.

  • He could have been the GREATEST ever if Georgia F... would of just "shown him the money," Robinson built the team around, still he does not get credit due him.
