My sisters and I grew up watching and LOVING this movie! My dad went so far as to actually getting in contact with Disney about why they haven't put it on DVD! Apparently, they said that they didn't (and don't) think that it will sell very well; so, they haven't gone to the trouble of changing it to digital! I completely disagree with them! I know so many people who would buy it! We should all send letters or e-mails or something - maybe then they'd see how much this movie is loved!

Polly 1 and 2 were awesome. I still have Polly parties and show them. Debbie Allen directed these. And this was filmed in an actual church. And did you all recognize the Butterfly McQueen playing the organ. Yup, that's miss "I don't know how to birth no babies" from Gone W/the Wind. These were among her last roles before she passed.

I remember watching this as a kid. My friend's mom had taped it off tv and we watched it so much the tape literally wore out! I also email Disney frequently requesting this be released. It was excellent(especially for a kid from the Cosby generation) !
