  • Great video. However, it bothers me when people refer to bodybuilders as athletes. I have tremendous respect for bodybuilders, and I am currently pursuing bodybuilding after finishing my final season of college football, although bodybuilding is not a sport, it is more of an activity or a lifestyle. Sports like football, hockey, MMA, and as much as I hate to say it, even basketball require athleticism--lifting weights does not.

It's an expression of individuality, to show that they have the ability to completely shatter the boundaries of what is possible. There's an expression that I saw was used the other say- obsession is a word the weak use to describe dedication. They're not mutants...they're a testament to human strength

  • @MrRonwhite I have to disagree. Bodybuilding is more about the overall package. The bigger muscles sure, but also, the best conditioned, most symmetrical, and the most asthetic physique. Steroids themselves do not make you bigger. Training hard makes you bigger. Steroids, simply, enable on your body to recover faster so you can get back in the gym and train again quicker. Hence grow more muscle. If you were to only take steroids, but not lift, or slack, you would look just like the average Joe.

Im a "Natural body builder,& respect the hard work put into training, but I do have issues with Steroid users, its a form of cheating yourself,its like working hard on a G.E.D & getting paid like a drug dealer,it also is short lived like a dealer,these guys work hard too,but there gains are mass produced,live fast die fast,do it right & have longevity & clean living...the song rocks!!!!

    And people who eat junk food, garbage, other shit, do drugs, and don't work out a day in their life won't either? I'm never done steriods, PHs, or HGH or plan to, but I'm sure these guys will outlive most of the regular population because of their level of fitness and dedication to nutrition. Obviously doing the same and being natural would probably be better, but at the end of the day, working out and eating right is 1000x better than not at all.

  • @00SoldierofFortune00 true, but everyone has different genes and different types of body build. just because u work out and eat right doesnt mean its a guarantee ur going to outlast other people. u never know wut u might find out the next day, regardless u work out or not. i love working out and doing cardio, but im not going to think or assume that just because i eat right and work out that im going to be in a better position than people that dont work out.

    You can't manipulate or change your genes or genetcs. Diet and workout routine you can. If all things were equal between two people, the one with the better nutrition, workout routine, and no drugs would live the longer, better, and more healthy life. People who take care of their bodies are also at a much, much lower risk of diseases. Besides genetics, most diseases are diet related, so if you do the above like I said, you are in a better position than someone who does not workout.

  • @berbatovinho77 i body build, swim, volleyball,and a runner, eat good and sometimes i eat cheat foods. we don't spend time in the gym 24/7 its 45 mins minimum to 2 hours maximum daily. And i do this at 5 at the am. So some body builders actually do have fun. a LOT of fun. I love my life. cant get better imo. unless school doesnt have tests lmao. Oh and im 15 fyi.. lmao

    I'll never understand why people think that bodybuilders or people who lift spend more time in the gym than anything else. Like the other poster said, 45 minutes to 2 hours max a day. I spend more time preparing my meals than actually lifting weights too. You can also eat plenty of "good" tasting food and it won't make you fat or any of that as long as you do it smart. Stop believing in all of the BS rumors and nonsense spread about bodybuilding.

    Bodybuilding is not a beauty pageant. Bodybuilding is not about what other people think. Bodybuilding is not about going to the beach and flexing. Bodybuilding is about pushing the human body to its absolute limits. Sculpting through pain. Doing what others wont in order to have what others cant.

    Pleasure from food is pleasure from weakness. Learn to love pain like most people love food and you will be happy.

    Being sadistic is the love of putting others in pain. Microtears in the muscle fibers are not a bad thing, they are what tell your body to grow. Lactic acid leaves your muscles way before you start feeling sore. Synthetic hormones and steroids are less than 10% of bodybuilding. Stop trying to convince yoursef that exercise is bad for you, go work out and accomplish something. and stop being a trolling faggot making keyboard smiley faces.
