Haven't checked this video out in awhile, thanks for all the responses everyone. I should have made some drive-by videos but have since sold the truck.
damn that sounds nice man. ive got a 4.8 to and was going to do straights off the cat, but this kinda make me want this 10 series, lol. so you got trual duals with 2 mufflers? think it would sound about the same just y'd off the cat with this muffler?
I agree strobes and light bars will get you laughed at, and befor you ask i drive a 85 SS elky V8 5.0L(305) wouldnt mind swaping the block for a 350 (5.7L) though if i found the time to hunt one down and rebuild it.
@diaz4sho do research on that motor. its a smaller corvette motor thats very capable with mods. i have seen turbo 4.8s runnin 10s in heavy pickup trucks! it would make that s10 fly! its 275hp
@RichardSoullie i have the same engine lol, im just gunna go with the super 10 series center in, dual out and run both pipes out the side in front of the rear tire
well on that i guess it depends on where you live. here they dont test but i know in california they do and other states that are touchy sensitive about that.
The 10 Series will work on your vehicle and it will definitely give you a more throaty/aggressive sound than the Super 44 but this muffler is not street legal. If you choose to use this muffler you have to know that having this muffler on your vehicle may cause you to get a ticket for excessive sound. To answer your question, yes, this muffler is louder than the Super 44.
I have them on my truck and thats 3 inch pipe all thru, I got pulled over once, he said it was because it was to loud, however at that time I didn't have a rear bumper and thats illegal here you couldn't see my Tag to good either, he let me go and said to fix it.. I've put a bumper on it and done a lot more, that was last year and I've passed the same cop and a bunch of other, I had one right behind me one day at a redlight.. Never had any problems since that one day. Check my videos for a sound
@teddyss350 ya cuz there only made for off road/racing anyways it say it on the box not for street use ol but i bought the staniless today and im gonna put it on my durango running 3'' duals into a single in dual out at the rear then im adding those electric cutouts and having header flanges welded on so i can bolt on flowmasters with dumps before the rear end so i can change em up a bit
hey bro did u have any problems passing inspection? flowmaster 10s are the shit and i wanna put them on my truck its just im worried it wont pass inspection bc theyre race mufflers...
dude, do you understand how small the FM 10 series is??? it's a race car designed muffler. pretty sure it'll fit, but whether or not it'll pass ur next inspection... that's anyone's guess
I've jsut found out I've got 10s on my '70 chevy truck...three inch duals from the headers...it sounds good, the guy I bought the setup from said he thought they was 40s but they're actually the 10s...jsut a small steel box and one chamber in em'...sounds great!
do u have any other mods besides the true dual and 10 series? cuz i have a true dualed silvy 5.3 and im thinkin about gettin a couple 10 series to put on.. and urs sounds beast as hell, cant imagine how good it will sound on my 5.3
well one of my friends got turn downs for his delte 40 duels and it sounds nice but i wasnt planning on getting those..their not as deep as i want..im def not gettin straight pipes.. too boring. but yea either 10's or single chamber racing flowmsters which another friend of mine has. just cant decide. racing is def more expensive though
Cheapest would be strait pipes, but that sounds like crap in my opinion. If you want loud and cheap and still sounds good, i'd go with the flowmaster 10's or dynomax bullets. I have changed my exhaust since the vid and took the 10's off and just put in an x-pipe. Its louder, and sounds better.
that shits bad man. idk whether i should get the 10 series or just straight racing flowmasters. im not all educatied in which is best so inform me. which ones fuckin loudest?
You sir do have a loud exhaust. It is a 10 series. No way could you get that sound from your engine unless you went straight piped. Sounds good, but too much for my family. You must be single. I wish I could run like that, have fun. Check out my ossco97 Cherry bomb Vortex videos when you get bored.
Are ya sure those are 10 series? I mean it sounds nice, but usually 10 series, especially on a true dual set-up, should sound a lot more obnoxious than that.
ill tell you what, Cherry Bomb extreme's and Flowmaster Super 10's are the loudest and most aggressive sounded mufflers on the market..

I assure you it has cats. The truck had the exhaust already done on when i bought it, but strait pipes. So i just had to weld in the mufflers.
bullitt1672 4 years ago
how much did the whole setup cost???
Ethipoo08 4 years ago
there is no way you have cats on that because i have almost that exact same thing on a 4.6 ford and it is nowhere near that loud
tazer39 4 years ago
the 4.6 have two cats on each bank. Ditch the two and get one high-flow if your in an emissions area otherwise you could ditch the two.
