They "autotuned" everyone as part of post production. Listen to the Taylor Swift one ahaha. You have to realize the difference between vocal correction and autotune though. There's a huge difference

To me George sounds so much better live than he does on his studio recordings.Can somebody who's familiar with the recording process tell me why his voice sounds so much lower on his cds(studio tracks) than it sounds live which seems a little more 'nasal'.

@hunkallgood73 its most likely the way the sound is calibrated in the studio and at the concert.... they do everything they can to get it perfect in the studio...on stage is different b/c of the arenas and venues are dif. so its sounds dif. and when you see singers on music awards where they are all using one mic they suck because the equipment isn't calibrated to their specific style

@evansco2 It's not that he needs it. Strait is great, no doubt about it.  Most major touring acts put a vocal correction system in their audio chain as a back up. They use it as a safety net just in case a note or two go stray. A show like the Last Rodeo would be perfect for this type of system because there are many artists with different capabilities. It just insures a more consistent sound for the production as a whole.
