@Grove537 Hard to say but, my first guess would be a lipoma or a sebaceous cyst..... she really should have it checked to make sure it's nothing bad though. As a nurse I've seen some weird stuff. Also my personal medical weirdness gives some experience too. The short version is that when I was 18 I hurt my neck and went to a chiropractor who took some xrays. In the films you could see a LARGE hole in my skull with a large mass coming out of it! I was sent directly to a neurosurgeon......cont.

and I had surgery 2 days later. I was lucky in that it turned out to be benign. It was a dermoid tumor that was secreting something that had eaten through the bone. So now I have a plate over the hole for a souvenoir! Like your teacher, I knew I had a bump on my head but didn't have it checked out. I was lucky that I actually had no symptoms from it BUT the surgeon said that, had it not been taken out I would have started having seizures within a couple months. SO, tell your teacher....cont.

I am really surprised that they can't do something about the hole in your lung. When you are "breathing" in through your back are you pulling air into the lung or into the chest cavity? This was posted in Sept.. I hope it has gotten even better!
