This comes out with really good sound quality, a very 'warm' recording- just how I like 'em.
Totally giggable, class playing and vocals folkwise, I reckon. I like this one of Ralphs, Ralph always sung the praises of others, both Martyn and Jansch, jansch especially, but I always thought McTell was the master of the 'melodic acoustic guitar'...probably the warmest sounds of all. You do him great justice MIke...(ever met him by the way..at least HE is still alive, thank heavens..)
Hi Ian, thanks muchly for your very kind comments. Its a song I always wanted to learn ever since I first heard it, and now in 2011 I have, so I'm pleased. Allthough I always go to Ralphs concerts, no I haven't had the balls to meet him. A mate of mine did a concert with him and Lindisfarne in the seventies, and I was offered the chance then but I bottled it. Thanks for your continued interest, and I hope your okay down there, and avoiding the terrible floods. My sympathies to all affected.
Nice one Mike....I love the chorous effect on the guitar it works sublimely... I had never heard this song before is it an early one? I will be saving this one...all the best mate..Kev

A lovely version Mike. I am a big fan of Ralphs music, and Ihave seen him live many times and his performance is always magical.

Thanks very much David. The productions not up to your standards, but okay for an old fart like me.
