  • the Vancouver PNE Corkscrew is better and bigger.

  • @canyouhandlethis100 Low Life Loser ScumBad Sneak Snake suck my big cock like I said BIG! It couldn't fit in your mom's mouth bitch

  • @s8413275 What? You not making fuckin sense you retard.

  • @canyouhandlethis100 DAMN! I WROTE THAT A YEAR AGO! AND U CAN NEVER GET NONE OF MY MOM U PRICK SUCK MY BIG COCK

  • that ride was really short well i hope u had fun on it

  • Aftershock is still the best ride there, not saying much since it's only 3 years old but still.

  • Wild thing in Federal Way near Seattle is the exact same coaster with a loop in the middle of the first drop. I first rode the Corkscrew at Knott's Berry Farm. I only rode it twice before it was dismantled and taken to Idaho.

  • the only scary part is when youre going down

  • @death743p that's what she said.

  • wow silverwood has to make their own rollercoasters all the coasters at that park are from other parks EXAMPLE thier rollercoaster aftershock was from six flags great america and it was called Deja Vu and this ride is from Knotts Berry Farm

  • @stanleysoffical who cares as long as they're fun??

  • i thought they didnt allow cameras at least they didnt when i worked there in 2002

  • @hemicudaboy1 You are correct, they don't. I took these during our rides trainning, so there were no guests and only employees riding

  • this is the same thing as the wild thing at wild waves just without the first loop

  • This looks like the one they took down at Geuaga Lake in Ohio almost exactly same path and ride length

  • @Turtle3000GT Same model. This is actually the original Corkscrew that used to run at Knott's Berry Farm in California,

  • I love this ride.. But isn't it the slowest..? Out of the rollercoasters? xD

  • @daddyslittleangel98 yeah it's a good beginner coaster.

  • its so fun

  • i love this ride, although its short, its nice for a quick burst of excitement! :) the only thing i don't like is that your head gets moved around a bunch inbetween the bars that strap you in,

  • Comment removed

  • i love the sound of the lift hill

  • woah its like canobie lake park all over again.

  • As boring as this ride was, it was still fun because, it was the only ride that there was no line for. xD. So we rode it like 8 times in a row. This guy in front of me gave me a high five while we were upside down. So stop saying it sucks. :)

  • what? this exact rollercoster is at canobie lake park in new hampshire

  • @YourNameHere136 It also has an identical layout to the former Python at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

  • When it was built it was a great relatively cheap ride for parks just starting.

  • I like this ride after i go on the aftershock But it doesn't suck Note. This was Silverwoods First roller coaster

  • this rde was my favorite until i rode timber terror LOL this ride sux now

  • every1 said this ride sucked, so i didnt go on it, but i did go on Aftershock it was EPIC!!!!

  • 0:49-0:51

WTF?! It's turned too far sideways! that'll make the right side of your head hurt!!! DX

  • the lift hill was way too intense.

  • oops i meant to put at CraigS41

  • wow dis ride is short and it sucks no one was screaming shit a damn frog can get on this ride wit out fallin

  • @s8413275 You are correct. While running it, I would sometimes put a coin in the seat and when the train came back, the coin would still be in the seat

  • @s8413275 wow! r the front of the seats like open so it could have chance of slipping out but just doesn't?

  • @s8413275 But you have to remember this was the FIRST modern day coaster in the world to go upside down when it opened in 1975 at Knott's Berry Farm in CA, and the first to feature corkscrew loops. So for it's day and age it was the bomb.

  • @KCForce yeah

  • @s8413275 It's not the most thrilling roller coaster in the world, but it's history. It was the first roller coaster with inversions (that didn't break the riders' necks). It was more experimental than anything, and a cool piece of history.

  • @busfunk1 k kool

  • @busfunk1 Well said, my boy! lol.

  • @s8413275 lol remember this is a really old coaster... one of the firsts to go upside down, prob awesome back in the day

  • @ubnowned yea for one of the first coaster its actually pretty nice with the loops

  • @s8413275 calm down white trash fag.

  • @s8413275 well it sort and kinda sucks and it throws you around head bangs between two metal poles but other than that it pritty good

  • ahhhhh so fun

  • This is exactaly the same as the one in Calgary and it sucks.

  • This is like an exact replica of Python (defunct) at Busch Gardens Tampa.

  • @digitalpixxie

This is exactly like it only with no loop. Was just there a couple days ago and a fight broke out on the waterslides. Fat guy vs black kid.

  • we have a ride called THE WILD THING here in washington and Its so short So guess what?? they let us go 2 times!

  • That's New Zealand, not New Zealands. There's only one of us!

  • thats almost the same as the one in new zealands, but it has a loop in it.

  • kiddie ride.

  • i love this rideeeee we danced theree

  • the chain lift is longer than the ACTUAL ROLLER COASTER

  • Are You In The Front Seat?!? :]

  • boring

  • I LOVE THIS RIDDEE ive been in the front 15 times in a row

  • I hated tremors. everytime i ride it i duck because i feel like im gonna hit my face on the tunnels

  • sane here, because of that sign right when you get in, i hated the first time i rode it i was with my familey and i was sooo ambarrassed when i got off and found out they took my picture

  • >:(

  • silerwood is so great, just went there on tuesday :) love it

  • My first looping coaster! This ride opened in 1975 at Knott's Berry Farm and was the first modern looping coaster. It beat SF Magic Mountain's Revolution which opened in 1976.

  • I guess SFMM tries to pull that revoultion was the first one to have a loop, this on has nothing but corkscrews.

  • love this ride go 2 silver wood every day!

  • Ahaha, Im going to silverwood this sunday (:

    With my friends.

Its gonna be sooooo muchh fun!

I dont think its that slow.

well hopefully its not cuz then it'll make me even more scared going upside down.

    (:

    lol.

  • this coaster seems to be aimed more towards younger kids going on their first coaster. i remember when i was little i loved it. now i prefer timber terror. =)

  • slow and lame.

  • It seems really short...

  • 10/10 this was my first kind of looping roller coaster when i was about 10

  • it goes 45 mph.

  • That is the slowest roller coaster ever!!!!!!!!!

  • no, in my opinion ive been on slower it okay

  • Not all rides have to be fast to be fun.

  • @mkeacorn But rollercoasters do.

  • is it really that slow???

  • Can it be that this coaster is really really boring? she´s definitve not fast ^^

  • OH EM GEE! that was funn. i lot my hat that day. lol but Silverwood has this and its awesome,, im going this weekend!

  • This ride used to be at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay!

  • i know! how i miss python... they had to replace it with that whack ass jungala...

  • WOOHOO this is somewhere else but i'm going to knotts AND I'M RIDING CORKSCREW!!!!!!!!

  • this was at knott's berry farm before it cam out there

  • to all the people saying, this roller coaster is also at here! This thing is at almost every theme park...

  • I realy need my mummy to hold my hand when i am crapping myself

  • Michigan's adventure has an exact replica of this ride.

  • yeah that used to be at knotts berry farm it was the first modern coaster to turn people upside down

  • love that ride tremers and timber terror are like made of wood so its very noise-y in the vid you looked like you where going 1 mile an hour

  • I'm from the Philippines and sad to say, Philippine roller coasters are no match.

  • Haha. but you got awesome weather!

  • this isn't much fun anymore i go there almost every summer!

  • My FIRST upside down ride. But now that i look at it its kinda suckish.

  • oha wie geil

  • Ya it was kinda wimpy this rollarcoaster compared to aftershock/tremors

  • here in australia we got a corkscrew coaster at seaworld its quite similar but ours has a loop after the 1st big drop

  • i love love love this ride! but its too short... they should extend it

  • Exactly where would we expand it too? In case you didn't notice, scrambler, antique Cars, Trabaunt, and the Train Tracks suround Corkscrew. There isn't any room for it to expand.

  • @CraigS41 up, and go around the track, there's alot of room acctually,. go over the antuique crs, and out into that feild

  • @MrGooberfloop That "Feild" is actually the employee access and parking as well as the owners air strip. Wouldn't be a good idea to build anything close to an active runway.

  • wow

    thats too short

we have a coaster here at carowinds like that but there are 2 loops before corkscrew and u turn left after the hill

  • That's the same as the "Deamon" at Great America in Santa Clara, CA.

Corkscrew was the original from Knott's Berry Farm

  • it is just Demon not Deamon, both the Gurnee one and Santa Clara ones are exactly alike.

  • yes that ride is called vortex right

  • very close thought :D

it is actually called carolina cyclone

vortex is the red stand right near it :)

  • yea i been on all of them exept the laydown

  • you have the ride that one

one of the best intense coasters there :)

jus you have be one that doesnt mind waiting

  • This one hurt my neck. For a steel rollercoaster it isn't smooth at all. I prefer Timber Terror and Tremors.

  • Ya'll may not know this but the Corkscrew is the first modern steel coaster to go upside down. The Great American Revolution opened at Magic Mountain (before it was bought by Six Flags) after this one opened at Knott's Berry Farm. Looks like Silverwood has great selection of rides, I'll have to add it to the list of parks I'm going to visit.

  • I love this ride but it's too short.

  • haha i rode this 10 times :)

  • It's so short!

  • it was the first actual roller coaster ive been on.

  • this ride is too quick and not a good rollercoaster at all!

    "aftershock" is wayyyyy better!

  • It was a good roller coaster for it's time, now it's just good to kill time, or to take a ride on a piece of history.

  • it doesnt look that fast. actually it looks a little slow

  • one whole whopping minute, and it's over..

  • im going on the aftershock when it comes out in Silverwood, its so sick!

  • HOW MANY CLONES OF THIS ARE THERE??

Theres one at Canobie Lake Park!

  • There are plenty, however, this is the original, and probably the smoothest one out of all of them.

  • Actually this one is the original. It was original built at Knott's Berry Farm.

They should put the stand-up trains it once had back on it.

  • @mrdeadguy1 You are wrong! You have NO idea whatsoever what you are talking about and the only reason you stated that the Alton Corkscrew was first was because all british people are selfish ignorant bastards who thinks that everything english is SOO much better and revolutonary than the rest of the world! You always think that you MUST be first with everything! But this time: USA WON! WHY? Here is why:

  • @casinobowling So

We have better coasters than you cocksuckers

    We have had:

Worlds 1st Vertical Drop Coaster (oblivion)

Worlds 1st Free Fall drop (13)

Worlds Steepest Drop Vertical up and down (SAW: The Ride)

Worlds first Horror Maze staying at a PARK not just 1 night (SAW Alive)

Worlds first 10- looping coaster (Colossus)

If you had a war against us we would beat you

  • @mrdeadguy1 oooh my dad can beat your dad thing ?? grow up retard

  • @hemicudaboy1 So, you reply to my comment from 9 months ago? Thats a sad life. I don't know why bother replying to someone who lives such a sad life.

  • @mrdeadguy1

The corkscrew at Alton Towers opened in april of 1980.

The corkscrew at Knott`s Berry Farm Amusement Park in Buena Park California opened in 1975 and was moved to Silverwood Theme park in Athol Idaho in 1990.

So there you have it! The Silverwood CorkScrew that we see in this video IS THE ORIGINAL CORKSREW! SUCK IT UK!

  • sea world is better!

  • This side sucks. It's a starter rollercoaster in my opinion.

  • this ride is WEAAKKKKKK ..... SREriOUSLy!!!! but their new ride looks pretty damn badass

  • wow you guys need some really rides! this thing sucks and tremors and timber terror arent much better...

  • exsqueeze me? Have you been on tremors or timber terror? Whenever the big roller coaster fanatics come up to visit they almost always say that those two are now on their top ten favorite wooden coasters. Coming from people who've been on hundreds and hundreds of other rides. Surely you're familiar with Mitch Hawker's annual roller coaster poll? Tremors has been on the top ten list since it was first built. So there...lol

  • lmao!

wrong comment thingi was thinking of another ride i didnt watch the vid till after

  • I hated this ride it felt like someone was beating me up cause you would just up and down on the seat and hit thehandle seatbelt thing but then again im a week person

  • I remember going on with my friend's sister. It was the first time I ever got on the coaster. I screamed alot, but I enjoyed the ride :]]

  • me and my family went to silverwood this monday and it was great...this ride isn't scary it's hella fun though, my cousin and i did this ride 20 consecutive times always getting a spot

  • geez that was quiet was any1 on there

  • Yes I do, actually.

    Oops.

    Sorry.

Forgot about your lack of grammar skills.

    Let me try that again.

    Me think ride scry.

    How about that.

  • this ride looked like sucked ass

  • This ride is SCARY!

I went a few weeks ago.

    Got of.

    I was hysterical.

I used to go on it everytime.

    Not anymore.

  • You call this ride scary?

  • ok lmfao... What a week ride it dont even have a loop after the first drop. No wounder why KBF sold this to you all lol.

  • i dont realy like that coster im from canada but i live just outside of the states... so i go there every summer

  • not that impressive at all..

  • Runuzzz, do you even realize what coaster this is?

This is the worlds first modern roller coaster to not only take riders upside down, but it did it twice.

Maybe today it's not very "impressive" compared to newer coasters, but back when it first opened at Knott's Berry Farm, it was something everyone from far and wide wanted to come ride.

So before you go running your mouth about things you dont really know about, maybe you should go do a little research into that thing's past.

  • Yeah, but I have ridden it's brother at Cedar Point and if this is at all similar, I know where he's coming from. The ride is boring, rough, and outright unimpressive. Plus, a "Modern roller coaster taking riders upside down" is a moronic title. It isn't the first to do anything. People had gone upside down before, so just because this was "modern" doesn't mean it is anymore impressive.

Taking this ride at face value reveals it is not very impressive, regardless of it's "historic" past.

  • Thank you!

  • No, I do not realize and do not care.

I just look at the ride and I think it sucks balls.. And hell no I am going to investigate the history to find out if this "used to be" a hot ride. Guess time played a trick on your ride main, it is no longer hot. HAHAHAA

  • lol... well... for being old and all.. its not that noisy.. lol!

but the ride is kinda short... but its cool to have an old roller coaster in our country..

  • I rode this for the first time this past Saturday and I was impressed with how smooth it was, as well as how fun it was.

Knott's Berry Farm made a bad move by getting rid of this legend and replacing it with that piece of shit Vekoma Boomerang. But, oh well. Their loss, our gain.

  • This makes me miss summer so much!

  • damn! great ride 4 a great park. this a big park if u add all rides together...over 65!

  • great ride! 2 thumbs up! (=)[thumb].

  • ahaha, that roller coaster is so much fun,

Idaho is a beatiful state, especially lake pend orielle,

    anyways

    silverwood is some cool sutff

  • yeah man this ride sucks ball

  • were is silverwood

  • Athol, Idaho. About 10 miles north of Coure D' Lane on hwy 95.

    Craig

  • wekll that was the most boring gayest ride ever

  • the ride was not meant to be exiting. It was built for younger people to experience their first upside down ride.

  • The beginning looks almost exactly like The Ninja's only without the first beginning loop... X_X

  • Looks more like an arrow corkscrew than a vekoma

  • That is a "Fantastic" Observation..Just in case most of you out there are not aware...This was one of the first looping coasters ever built by "Arrow Dynamics" And it was first built at knotts in CA. In fact some say that this was the one of the first looping coasters ever built...On Earth..So show some respect...Bitchez.....

  • sofried1 is right, this was the one of the first looping coaster. I grew up riding it's twin, the Wabash Cannonball at Opryland in Nashville.

  • aww, i hate SLC's!

  • Thu Wun At Alton Towers Is Absoulty GAY

  • Well, I should be riding this in the coming months, cause now it's official. I'm moving to Idaho... Sigh, gonna miss SoCal but at least I'm going to have another Southern Californian up there, the KBF Corkscrew. :)

  • Don't come back. At least i'll have Knott's for myself. And don't worry, I've gotten familiar with corkscrew's past.

  • This is Southern California and we want our Corkscrew back.

  • hahaha i remember it at knotts hahahaha

  • Great POV. It's sad that there arent more of these POV's on the internet. Hopefully, since I'm planning on moving, we end up on moving to Athol. Ever since I found out about Corkscrew during a visit to Knott's Berry Farm I've always wanted to ride this piece of history. Maybe I finally will, and one of my life goals will be accomplished.

  • Hope you are going to be able to ride it this season, cause it's possible that it won't be there next season. There is a rumor that we are going to get a SLC and that we are getting a price break from the manufacturer, if we send them the Cork Screw back. Nothing set in stone that I have heard though.

  • Oh thats so sad to hear! I would take the KBF Corkscrew over a Vekoma SLC anyday!

  • I've actually never ridden an slc so it would be nice to try one. They should keep this one and add the new one.

  • that would make sense since its the same track style just fliped up side down on the SLC's. So I guess they will take the track refurbish it and use it for a new SLC

  • is that a suspended looping coaster. if it is then sweeeeettt !!!

  • The one at canobie lake park is the same thing.

  • They should of put a loop at the bottom of the first drop like the Steamin Demon @ The Great Escape in Lake George NY. Other than that the same ride. But I will take the Ninja @ Six Flags Over Georgia any day over this or the Stemin Demon.

  • its fun.

but its prolly like, the shortest roller coaster in the world.

  • The Corkscrew at Sea World in Australia looks the same but has a veritcal loop after the drop.
