VERY good choices. That, and both have interfaces that require special hardware to emulate properly. Actually, it's almost impossible to get an emulated TRON to run the way it does on the arcade machine.
I own my own Tron arcade game but I'm not quite at a million. Tempest is very cool too, I wish I owned my own retro arcade full of games. Greta times for sure.
You have good taste, Tempest is one of my favorite vectors too :) Tron I knew a bunch of patterns and could get a million back in the day, then I played it at a gaming expo a few years ago, had forgotten a lot of the patterns, and couldn't even break 100,000 :P
Oh yeah, I should mention how you can skip levels in TRON.
1) Insert a coin and start a game
2) Open the coin door and set the switch to test mode
3) When you're back at the rack screen (level selection screen), press the player 2 start button to advance a level.
