I think if rehydrated these, and any of our fruits would work great in jello. I've been developing a recipe using gelatine sheets, so look for that video to come in the future and then you'll know for sure if it worked! But I don't see why these wouldn't be perfect in jello.
Yes, these are the same / similar to freeze-dried fruit found in cereals. They look exactly the same to me as the Special K strawberries. I'm amazed at how much there is to do with them beyond using them in cereal, but I must admit how much I do love them that way too or even just plain.
So pretty, so crisp. Perfect in trail mix. If you're going to bake with them, just go easy on how much water or juice you use to rehydrate them. I used WAY too much once, and yuck! Watery, strawberry-y mess. =) Just use a little and mix the strawberries through. You'll be good to go.
this is a great option because i am running out of freezer space

These are so yummy but be careful not to over eat them...they will expand in your tummy. ;)

My son eats these like Candy, I guess it is better that he will these instead of candy or sugary sweet

Can you put these in jello? I've tried dried fruit in a jello dish and it was really gross. How would these strawberries do?

Thanks again and hope that helps,

kfrost1196: Yeah, all the fruit you find in cereals (like Blueberry Morning or Special K) is freeze dried fruit. This is the same stuff.

Wow - those strawberries do look good. I can't believe they come back like that after soaking in water. Yum!
