  • In Canada whenever there is significant injury and insurance interests you are denied timely diagnose / treatment; Last week after saying enough is enough, i went and got my Ct Scan and MRI to go medical tourism; After looking at the scan and the report, i was shocked to find a picture and report, I HAVE A MALUNITED FRACTURED SPINE from my work injury that the doctor covered-up; Gos help you if you suffer a work injury in Canada because you will never get medical care;

  • @FIXWCBCANADA thats workers comp and ask anyone they are famous for screwing people over. for something meant to help workers it sure missed the target. was it one of theyre doctors you saw? funny how they will listen to them but not the 20 experts who say something else. with the health care system though we have it pretty good.

  • hilarious, coming to the usa for top quality care, nice try

  • @aminimaleffort there is top quality care anywhere, but I would be apprehensive about getting it from a market

  • love this video

  • I have cancer and received immediate treatment - chemo and radiation. I am doing OK now and the year-long treatments did not cost me anything. Wait I lied, I did have to pay $6 to $8 per day for parking at the Cross Cancer Institute but the treatment and other operation to remove a tumor from my spine was free.

  • @waynewin That's awesome man. Glad to hear that.

  • Americans are being lied to by the right wing. They forget that there are 30 million people north of the border turning on their TVs and hearing this propaganda as much as American's are. I don't know what to make of it other than Truth is defined differently in The USA as it is in the rest of the world. As long as there is enough people in the USA that don't seek the truth and just believe what they hear this will continue. I'm just an average Canadian totally baffled by all this

  • But because of this Mandate, Corp America is essentially dropping private insurance now in favor of this national plan (or wavers for political favors) which is based on medicare (something many Doctors are now refusing to accept because they do not pay out when claims are given) & private are jacking up prices across the board to compensate. So we were lied to out of the gate, by everyone. Down to the Representative that never read a single word of the bill. Took too much from the states.

  • See this is the problem with the now unconstitutional healthcare insurance law. it was not applied as a payroll tax as it should of been. Indeed if the elected officials would have actually read this monstrosity they would have know this was a mistake out of the gate. It was incompetency on a level of treason to allow this to pass as it was. Had this been built into the payroll tax law, & allowed Ins Cos to compete across state lines (as is done in Canada) things would be far different :)

  • I am a Canadian, I live in a large Canadian city (Ottawa). If we go to the hospital say during peak hours we can expect to wait for a few hours. If we go say during the middle of the night, or during the day on a weekday, the wait time can be as little as an half an hour!! Yes, there are the odd freak stories you hear, but these are simply not the majority..they just get more attention from the media!!

  • @canmoore

    depends on the day too. I was at one Ottawa I went to kinda suck. I dont want to generalize based on one experience because a lot can explain it. My point is that the lady said Ontario is behind other provinces, and it is true to some extant. It is a shame, Ontario should pick up the slack. But ya, it is a relief to just march to the hospital and get treatments without thinking about finance.

  • @lafther210 I live in Ottawa, and my daughter was born in Ottawa. I can say that we had top notch excellent care. A recent study also showed that Ontario actually has one of the shortest hospital wait times, so we are doing something right!

  • @canmoore I remember hearing one women moan in pain at the waiting room. She spend the entire night there. I like the comment that a few years ago Ontario had the worst waiting time in the country and I just dont want to imagine what the Ontarian system was like. Dont get me wrong, I appreciate the system but there are a lot of bureaucracies that need to be taken care of as well.

  • @lafther210 no system is perfect and the Canadian healthcare system is no expedition. Is improvement needed, of course and always, but I would never trade our system for the system in the states.

  • @Fireflygamer I would not either.

  • I like where they point out the "moral no brainer"... Problem in America with THAT is the overwhelming number of politicians and bureaucrats we can't seem to get rid of who have no morals AND no brains!! If not for THEM, I'd probably be in favor of a state level system like this, but NO WAY IN HELL I'd support it at a federal level.

  • In Canada 90 - 95 % of significant injuries & insurance interests are deliberately misdiagnosed & not treated or compensated. They use stereotypical clinical code/commentary to classify & render injured workers & auto accident patient - claimants. This undermines the principles of universal healthcare.

    Canada was a testing ground for this Medcal New York Shell game.

    We are treated as bad as or worse than livestock in our 'universal' healthcare'system, yet most of the public doesn't know it

  • @FIXWCBCANADA Where do you get your figures?

  • @donteatthefishsticks ,,search Can LII, provincial court cases, across Canada; Supreme Court ; Human Rights decisions;Insurance injury claims;Physicans reports filed proving Malpractice > Misfeasance- Malfeasance; medical malpractice, breach duty care; etc. etc. etc

  • @FIXWCBCANADA That doesn't give me much to go on. I'm sure there is malpractice and maltreatment but no more in Canada than anywhere else. And certainly not 90-95%. Are you saying that if I search those websites I'll come up with a figure like that?

  • @FIXWCBCANADA bullshit. livestock, nice touch for your propaganda. now just try and find a large group of canadians who agree with you. go move to america if you think it's so bad here.

  • Phht the government goes in between the doc and the patient? Well in America the Insurance co. comes between the patient and the Doc. Waiting for health care, in the states people have to wait for an hour before the Doc in the emergency room shows up.

  • @FIXWCBCANADA Yeah, that is pretty much true and there are lots of cases like yours. I agree that universal health care is a big lie and that we have rationed health care. However, I think rationing is preferable to any market-based or two-tier alternative. It won't change for the better in Canada until we start putting more money into the system and realistically that can only happen if we raise taxes, which I'm all for, and promote a healthier society that consumes less health care services.

  • finally an american tellin the truth about the canadian health care system, no systems are perfect, but on the whole you are generally waiting because someelse is more seriously ill.

  • This woman tells the truth, my wife had a gall bladder attack , she was looked at immediately . All tests were done , ultrasounds , blood tests ,everything. And all of this from 5am. on a Monday morning until 11am , with a proper diagnosis from a doctor. She was scheduled for next day surgery which she declined. All of this cost $0 even if she elected to have the surgery , a similar case in California a woman paid $12,000 to have her gallbladder removed.

  • @AtlasEx I didn't know gall bladders we aggresive......lol

  • This Sara Robinson is simple stupid, ignorant or just plain lying. I'm a Canadian and I try to avoid going to the hospital or the doctor because I don't feel like waiting 8 to 12 hours just to be told that I have to go back in 6 months to do a test. At the private clinic I will spend $900 dollars and get it done is 30 minutes.

  • @electstar I've never been to a private clinic and I've never waited 8 to 12 hours in a hospital/doctors office. Most recently was an infection in my knee. I waited one hour and was treated. This is in a small northern town with limited resources I might add. Don't get me wrong, there's improvements needed, but let's not exaggerate things.

  • @electstar One Canadian to another, I have never once heard of someone that would have to wait half a year for a test. I will admit having to wait about four hours once with minor respiratory problems from inhaling antifreeze (faulty car part to blame) though that was because of people being brought in from a multiple car pile-up on the 403. As I wasn't at immediate risk of death, I really had no problem waiting - others needed the doctor more.

  • @DarthBismarck I am happy that you have received good health care. Here in Quebec, our healthcare is a nightmare. Our hospitals are falling apart, overcrowded and the service you get is rushed. My uncle from Toronto came to Jean Talon hospital in Montreal and he was horrified with the hospital's condition Apparently it is much better in Ontario. Overall, I have lost faith in the Government providing quality healthcare. I prefer to pay for private insurance and go to a private hospital.

  • @electstar I'm sorry to hear that those are the conditions in la belle province. I had never heard such things previously about the state of the Quebecois health care system - this is something I'll have to read up on.

  • @DarthBismarck Thats great that you have had good healthcare...most havent. My son almost died waiting for a specialist for 7 months and them 3 months between appointments. My friend needed an MRi, she was booked 7 months on a sunday, at 11:00 pm....I need my knees replaced. I have been to many specialist for yrs. They all say I need them replaced. But as I am in my 30's they say I will have to wait till I am in my 50's...bc they dont want to pay for it twice. 8 hrs wait for a broken hand.

  • @55Freya I waited 1 hour for a broken finger. Our friend 'needed' and MRI and got it the same day in London, ON. Our friend's in Moncton got their son a CAT scan after a bike accident just after he went in.

    My friend in Toronto had an MRI when she went in for a rupture's achillies heel. Operated on shortly after the sameday.

    Most have had great healthcare. As the polls show.

    What did your son have? What specialist?

  • @MadHabber93 Well like I said, most ppl I know have NOT had good healthcare. We are actually the only ones in our family with a Doctor! My son had a twisted intestine and bc he had an extremely short umbilical cord he wasnt fully developed and couldnt digest food among a few other issues. He almost starved and was in extreme pain for the first 2 yrs of his life. We got a call after 2 months to see a specialist to ask if he still needed one and to decide WHERE to put him on the list!

  • @55Freya Well, most people I know have had great healthcare, and polls support that. Even in B.C. For your son, unfortunate and I'm happy for you that he made it through. But mabe it was a question of the referring doctor not putting enough pressure on the specialist, I'm assuming a pediatric Gastroenterology, on the severity of his case. I know the Gastro community very well, as they are my clients, and almost all of them keep spots open for urgent cases.

  • @MadHabber93 lol, sure. That specialist thought he had celiac disease, got him a blood test, 2 months till next visit. He ended up in the hospital bc he was so under weight he stopped walking. The hospital and our Doc call about making appointments. They set up a visit to an eating disorder child clinic. My Doc called to see how the visit went,we havent even got the appointment yet. He was upset. We got a call 7 weeks later ,not to make an appointment but to see where to put him on the list.

  • @55Freya We had 3 visits with the child specialist, 1 week at the clinic and 5 hospital stays...took 2 yrs! Now I have had some wonderful healthcare in Canada, but the terrible care out weighs it. I have had an emergency c-section, my son and I died twice, they saved us, great :) from that I got 3 meals for 4 days in the hospital, a serious uterine infection, incision infection, which opened and they stitched me up wrong and more. Our care is NOT great. I would rather choose my care.

  • @55Freya Do you think by choosing your care that it will be perfect? And what do you mean by choosing your care. My wife had 2 c-sections, one emergency. Received nothing but top notch care. For the most part, most Canadians have received wonderful care vs. terrible care.

  • Amazing how hospitals, equipment and salaries for the workers don't cost anything. I can only assume the expert there is on government assistance or otherwise not paying taxes.Healthcare in Canada cost a lot, the costs are going up to unsustainable levels, and we don't get near the value that the US system provides. If it's such a great system why does it have to coerce people into participation? And why haven't any other developed nations adopted a similar model?

  • @stevieRay3211 The costs that going up are because of the addition of more private services slowly being introduced across the country. The fact remains that healthcare costs related to doctors and hospital services have remained the same for the last 3 decades, which is 4 to 5% of GDP. Its a myth that our system is not sustainable, however, if more expensive private services keep increasing then it might be. In addition, other countries fund their system at 90% tax money, while ours is 70%.

  • @stevieRay3211 Japan, and most of the EU is run on the same public health care model. That's most of the developed countries in the world. Also reason why or health care costs are rising is because our health care is shifting more to the US system. That means more private insurance companies covering more and more of the basic stuff, as well as a higher administrative cost to hire more people to go over reports and all the shit that doesn't help health care.

  • ...also in BC most individuals have to pay 60.50 a month for their premiums THEY ARE REQUIRED TO DO SO BY THE GOVERNMENT

  • It's 80.00 for an Ambulance the government pays the other 450.00 in BC.

  • BS,,, ck the coalition of the walking wounded in Canada; You will find HUGE numbers of medical legal FRAUD; people are denied medical care if they have certain traits;

    #1; is if there is any insurance interests; (these poor souls are denied so insurance companies can save money) EX; ICBC, WCB, WSIB, Worksafe, Or any of the supposedly No Fault scams;

  • I compiled a blog titled "Corporate Executives Deny 57 Million Americans Healthcare - by Bill Woollam" Just Google that. The American health care system is one of the worst in the world and has been compromised by the US Administration, the Health Insurance and Management Offices, and the American Medical Assoc.

    Canada, Britain, France and even Cuba all have hassle free, debt-free, comprehensive, universal health care plans where every citizen receives health care with no additional costs

  • America needs universal health care. Anybody who's opposed to health care reform is either on the payroll of an insurance company or dumb.

  • best video on you-tube showing criminals are ruining this planet; Invisible Empire A New World Order Defined Full (Order it at Infowars.com)

  • just as a CANADIAN I just don't get it,...WHY are the patients who need surgery being DENIED the UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE they so desperately need. Canadians are so ignorant and oblivious to whats happening right under their noses it's rather sickening and down-right FRAUDULENT; and PROVES that CANADIAN'S PAY TAXES AND GET NO MEDICAL CARE,then are forced to go to were-ever;out of country because of all the CORRUPTION, try paying off your doctor in CANADA if you need medical care,

  • @FIXWCBCANADA Just as a Canadian, I just don't get it. Why are patients under the PROVINCIAL PAYER PLANS NEVER denied surgery that they need in Canada. People who are FUCKING LUNATICS are so ignorant of those that don't fall under WORKMAN'S COMP, that they really need professional help as they are too STUPID to realize that they are DIFFERENT. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

  • @FIXWCBCANADA

    Ummm, like they said in the video its a moral thing. Those who NEED surgery NOW get it ASAP. You may have to wait, because these people need it MORE than you and your self centered needs, that are probably miniscule to theirs.

  • JUST AS A CANADIAN WHY THE FUCK DOES IT TAKE 100 DOCTORS TO DIAGNOSE A SPINAL INJURY, ARE CANADIAN DOCTORS THAT BAD;

    I GUESS SO BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME;

    YOUR ONLY A WORK INJURY OR AN AUTO ACCIDENT AWAY FROM BEING BANKRUPTED BY THE CRIMINAL DOCTORS PAID TO MISDIAGNOSE YOU;

    CANADA UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE IS A BIG FUCKING LIE;

    YOU PAY HUGE TAXES ABD GET FUCK ALL FOR TREATMENT;

    CANADA'S DOCTORS CHERRY PICK EASY CASES AND DENY COMPLICATED CASES

  • @FIXWCBCANADA Just as a Canadian, why do you actually think that people believe you've seen 100 doctors?? That's right...we don't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    They deny idiots. Nuff said.

  • @MadHabber93 ...I GUESS YOU WILL FIND OUT BECAUSE IT'S COMING OUT IN THE NEWS VERY SOON;

    CRADLE TO GRAVE,,,OH YEA,,YOU SEE THE HEADSTONE COMING AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DUE TO AVOID DYING, BECAUSE THE CANADIAN UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM IS A TOTAL FUCKING LIE;

  • @FIXWCBCANADA Posting in BLOCK CAPITAL LETTERS doesn't make your posts anymore profound. They are still fuckin stupid and a total FUCKING LIE. And I'll be waiting for this 'news'.

  • just as a CANADIAN I just don't get it,...WHY are the patients who need surgery being DENIED the UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE they so desperately need. • @FIXWCBCANADA Just, as a taxpaying Canadian, I don't get it. Why do idiots like Fixwcb post the same bullshit on multiple videos?? Dropped on their head multiple times as a child?? I think that's it.

  • cradle to grave,,,and you can bet you will be in a grave before long due to long wait lists, lack of technology, and long wait lists...come on canadians , tell the frigen truth..

    UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE IS CANADA'S BIGGEST LIE, and then you die

  • She does speck the truth about are health care. The problem is it needs to be better managed, but is still a lot better then the american model. PS: there are ten providence, three territories. Not thirteen providence.

  • just as a CANADIAN I just don't get it,...WHY are the patients who need surgery being DENIED the UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE they so desperately need. • @FIXWCBCANADA Just as a Canadian, I don't get it. Why are idiots like you not able to grasp the DIFFERENCE between those controlled by a private organization known as Workman's Comp and the rest of the 99.5% of the population getting timely care under our provincial payer plans????? Ditz

  • In Canada in general, you can go for a hip replacemnent on Monday, a new knee on Tuesday, a shoulder replacement on Wednesday, dialisis on Thursday and a heart transpant on Friday. When you check out of the hospital the next week there is NO BILL waiting for you. Hear me...NO BILL!!!!!

  • @countryclassic - yeah except for the 1 -2 years wait for any of those operations your correct

  • @duknud Depends...yes we do have a triage system...but if you have a heart attack and need emergency it's there...no waiting!!!

  • just as a CANADIAN I just don't get it,...WHY are the patients who need surgery being DENIED the UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE they so desperately need. • FOr every very rare ER death, which is not a reflection of a system, thousands upon thousands are saved by our system. Those are facts.

  • And sometimes that point isn't just illness, but death. Over the last year, there have been several shocking cases of patients dying in Canadian emergency rooms while waiting for treatment.

  • .just as a CANADIAN I just don't get it,...WHY are the patients who need surgery being DENIED the UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE they so desperately need. • Studies show that the poor and underprivileged in Canada suffer from the worst access and the poorest outcomes of all. The Supreme Court of Canada has ruled that Canadians are suffering and dying on wait lists. Data show that two-thirds of B.C. children wait a medically unacceptable period of time for surgery.

    Jeez even the Supreme Court of Canada knows the truth;

  • @WCBvictim Provide the link for any one of your ridiculous claims you dumb fuck. Claiming there's a Santa Clause is easy on youtube, proving it is another thing. You are one delusional mother fucker aren't you. Bwah ha ha ha ha

  • "but the majority of sick and injured people DIE due to rationed medical care."

    Yet there is ZERO evidence that even supports this assinine claim WCBvictim. The only 'lie' here is you fucknut.

  • UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE IS CANADA'S BIGGEST LIE; In Canada you don't get anything close to medical care, what you get is 5 minutes with a doctor who ESP's your sickness or injury and then forms an opinion with out ordering a single test;

    OR

    You go to the emergency room were they basically do F/A and just kick you out without any diagnostic test or anything; Sure some people get help when they find a REAL DOCTOR but the majority of sick and injured people DIE due to rationed medical care.

  • Sarah Robinson knows has more knowledge in her pinky then you do in your entire dumbass body MadHabber99, oops I mean wcbvictim, oops, I mean Fixwcb.

  • sarah robinson is a big fucking liar who is oblivious to the corruption, crawl back under your rock u stupid beotich

  • @MadHabber93....Fenwick’s report revealed that the patient “Christopher,” changed name, had gone to numerous doctors and specialists in Saskatchewan for getting treated his migraine headache, vision loss and low blood pressure but all went in vain. Then at Mayo clinic in US he was diagnosed with the brain tumour and was offered to get his surgery done within few days. He then went under surgery there as he had not been treated in his own country, Canada,,PLANNED EUGENICS TO LOWER POPULATION

  • @WCBvictim A. WHose Fenwick. Link it. B. ITS ONE FUCKING STORY. Your planned Eugenics is fucking hilarious when we have one of THE longest life expectancies on the planet. C. Why repost the story again, we all your bullshit the first time. Cripe you are thick.

    Let me type slowly so you understand.

    ONE STORY IS NOT PROOF. YOU ARE A FUCKING MORON!!!!

  • Fenwick’s report revealed that the patient “Christopher,” changed name, had gone to numerous doctors and specialists in Saskatchewan for getting treated his migraine headache, vision loss and low blood pressure but all went in vain. Then at Mayo clinic in US he was diagnosed with the brain tumour and was offered to get his surgery done within few days. He then went under surgery there as he had not been treated in his own country, Canada

  • @WCBvictim So another one of your anecdotal stories that mean nothing eh? Nice.

  • the doctors at the hospital who fucked me over are going to pay BIG TIME

  • Why did ONE politician go to the States. Because he's worth Millions and wanted to recover at his Florida condo in the middle of winter instead of a Toronto hotel.

    Why do you lie when wait times for MRI's are documented (just google it) as days for non-urgent proceudres and IMMEDIATE for urgent cases?

    Why do you post screwedbywcb under the same name as Fixwcbcanada, then repsond to your own posts??

    BECAUSE YOU ARE A RAVING FUCKING LYING LUNATIC THAT HAS A FAKE INJURY.

  • fix got it right,,,CANADIAN UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE IS A BIG LIE; search u-tube for medical tourism and see all the Canadians who suffer 4-7 years on narcotic's and then are denied surgery....many patients in Canada,,,wait years for a simple MRI;

    It's well documented, don't believe everything people tell you.....WHY do politicians go to the USA for medical procedures, because they don't trust the Canadian system.

  • yeah especially after being called a malingering faker by a doctor who missed my 2 spinal injuries and 2 shoulder injuries, then the fucker started talking behind my back so NO DOCTOR would help me, then when my injuries were finally diagnosed 2 yrs later, and a neurosurgeon made 10 recommendations for my rehabilitation, i received

    FUCK ALL due to more corrupt doctors and politicians; Doctors are liars just like politicians, UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE IS A FUCKING LIE

  • I WAS JUST DENIED A SPECIALIST APPOINTMENT AND WAS GIVEN NO EXPLANATION WHATSOEVER; CANADA IS A CORRUPT SYSTEM WERE YOU ARE JUDGED BY SOCIAL STANDING AND THE SIZE OF YOUR WALLET;

    MY GP HAS TRIED TO GET ME HELP AND HAS BEEN STOPPED AT EVERY AVENUE; CANAda is 3rd world medical care, and has government okay to kill canadians

  • @FIXWCBCANADA Ever think you have a track record and no doctors want to treat a lunatic???

  • Did I say that NO one has died. NO. I said that there is NO study showing that any significant number of Canadians are dying waiting for care. Care to share your story? Was it the wait time or something else? When ever I've needed, any member of family or friends needed urgent, live saving care they received it. And I live in London, ON...I'll be waiting.

  • I am another WCB victim, just like FIXWCBCANADA, In Canada you can go to any GP you like, HOWEVER, all the good doctors aren`t accepting new patients, the GP`s

    you get to see won`t refer you to a specialist for at least 3-6

    months while they pill you out and make mucho money having you come back in PAIN;

    then when you finally get to a specialist, they say you need to see someone else,

    you get pushed around the medical cue till your DEAD;

  • @WCBvictim You are workman's comp victim, yet equate your problems to the system. You are being shifted around because of a private organization, not our system. Most specialists will see you in weeks, not months. Immediately if urgent.

    Like I told your counterpart, show me one study where Canadians die waiting for care. I'll be waiting.

  • You are a piece of garbage. Did it ever occur to you some of us have lost loved ones because of wait times. But your so smart aren't you? I wish I knew who you were so I could kick you in the face.

  • FIXWCB lies. Sandstrom's video is bullshit opinion. Not to mention she looks like a fish.

  • Canada Health Care Story by Heather Sandstrom

    watch this video and then realize how you are a useless eater who is about

    to be exterminated; this is planned eugenics;

    cradle to grave, and you can bet the grave will come sooner in the canada

    health care system;

  • Personally, as a Canadian, I would rather pay 10,000 per year out of pocket for private health insurance than let the gov't pillage 78% of every dollar I make over 100K. (65% tax bracket + 13% HST)

    It takes my incentive away to be a special producer, society loses, and I sit back & watch our hospitals turn into pig bloated machines with absoultely ZERO efficiency. Paying our nurses 65K per year is also insane, as my $25.00 per hour PSW wife says.

  • @luckyvet Paying 65% in income taxes?? What a pile of crap. NO one, I repeat, NO ONE in Canada even pays 50% income taxes. Even if they made 10 million. The most you'll pay is 48.5% at the highest bracket. I also make over 100,000 and paid about 31% in income taxes before write offs. About 25% after write offs. And guess what, Americans pay similar income tax rates and STILL have to pay another $10,000/year for crappy coverage.

  • DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE. CANAIAN HEALTH IS NOT A PRETTY PICTURE. JUST LIKE AMERICA THE CARE GOES TO HE WHO HAS THE MOST MONEY....AS LONG AS THERE ARE PRIVATE AND GOV. PRACTICES, MONEY WILL FOREVER LIVE LIVE IN BETTER CONDITIONS. NOTHINGS FREE, YOU EVER SEEN THE TAX RATE IN CANADA?

  • Great interview!

    I remember distinctly, the top complaint from health insurance companies that were concerned about any possibility of a public option: "We can't compete with that!" Duh? No kidding! You bet you can't compete!

    Since when are insurance company profits more important than the lives of Americans? How many thousands of Americans have died because their insurers would not pay for the vital services they needed? Thousands every year! It's immoral.

  • I used to get into this argument until I realized as a Canadian why should I? Americans have to figure this one out by themselves. I really don't give a crap about american health care problems as long as they don't try to bring their shit attitude about health care across the border. Keep your healthcare system,keep going broke and bankrupt trying to pay your hospital bills .....I don't give a crap just keep your fucked up attitude out of my country. Thanks

  • This is garbage. I live in Canada and the system is broken. Each province is different, which means each province sets and changes what services are covered and which ones are not. In Ontario optometrists aren't covered but sex changes are.

    And wait times in urban areas are ridiculous just to see a nurse or doctor and be diagnosed. In an emergency room I have personally waited over 6 hours. 3 hours late for a scheduled appt. at a hospital to consult with a doctor.

  • obviously MADHABBEFR hasn't seen the Heather Sandstrom video in which she has told everyone how her Dad a heart surgeon had to watch the Canadian health system deny Canadians surgery; If you live in Canada and have a tumor you will die waiting for diagnose and treatment; doug bondrud didn't have nothing to due with workers comp and many others have died including my mother who was killed by Canadian Healthcare; this is how Canada works, you die waiting for diagnose and treatment; Canada SUCKS

  • @FIXWCBCANADA Those are ancedotal cases. Look up what ancedotal means. How about the hundreds of thousands/millions of Canadians whose lives were saved BECAUSE of our system without EVER having to worry about paying a bill?? Is there a case here and there, yes. As a % of those that have been saved, probably 0.00005%. Saying people who have tumors die is complete Horseshit. If it bleeds it leeds. If it was really that bad, why did those cases make the news. BECAUSE ITS RARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @FIXWCBCANADA And I saw the Heather Sandstrom video. Another pile of CRAP!! Her dad wasn't denied anything. She states, or should I say claims, that if her dad was in Canada when he got sick he would have died. Yet THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of Canadians with heart disease are successfully treated EVERY YEAR and DO NOT die. SHe's full of the same shit as you are. I've asked you before and I'll ask again. PROVIDE ONE STUDY showing that 'many' Canadians die waiting for care. Good luck.

  • BEWARE AMERICANS: The Canadian Government owns medical care and you will be denied medical care, why do you think so many Canadians go to the USA for medical care? Canada's system is overloaded and when you really need medical care you are denied and DIE waiting; In Canada evryone thinks it's such a great system until you need it, then you really find out how much BS there is; CK jokertattooo on youtube and find out the truth; Canada's Healthcare is a mess;

  • @FIXWCBCANADA Beware Americans, as people like FixWCB have an issue with workman's comp INSURANCE not with Single payer healthcare. WCB is screwing him not our system. WCB runs independent of the provincial gov't. No one is denied care and no study shows that Canadians are dying waiting for care. His premise that 'so many' Canadians go to the U.S. for care amounts to less than 1/2 of 1%. Fact: 85% of Canadias are more than satisfied with their care and 90% support Single Payer.

  • @MadHabber93 ....I OWN YOU BITCH NOW SUCK ON MY ASS SHIT FACE;

  • @WCBvictim Keep thinkin you owned me with your bullshit stories. Bwah ha ha ha. Now go upstairs, your Mommy has your Kraft dinner ready.

  • @WCBvictim Still waiting for the link Einstein.

  • OBAMA CARE ! OR GOP NO CARE !

  • In reference to waiting times in Ontario: what is the source of longer waiting times in Ontario vs. other provinces.

    Also, Canadian governments (federal and provincial) have made large cutbacks in social spending in the tune of billions.

    I would like to see someone elaborate on how this may have affected health care delivery in places like Ontario.

  • the rightwingers in the united states lie about canada's healthcare because they are all brought by the insurance companies.the people thats over the usa politice have lived during the 1950's red scare & segregation.they are scaring the weak minded racist population into thinking that if we have the very same healthcare as canada,that the USA will become a socialist country, that sounds so retarded, but they would love to use the money to give to the rich & fund a war. theGOP is damaging the USA

  • @unelmitchell You must be crazy. i hate dems and rep. the stupid ass dems love free stuff paid by the workers, the rep hate free stuff becouse they have to pay for it. bottom line is this healthcare is not free you have to buy it like car insurance. if you work at a good job ($10) or more then you already have insurance however if you have more than 2 kids buy 2 fathers. than why worry about it. you are fine, the usa pics up the tap. bottom line. usa has more in prison than any other country.

  • @unelmitchell ...EXACTLY..THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A NEW YORK SHELL GAME TO FUND MORE WAR;

    OPPRESSION ; AND STEAL THE RESOURCES,,, OF POOR COUNTRY'S; I CAN ALREADY HEAR THE BATTLE CRY; YES WE CAN...YES WE CAN...watch the video ....Dr. David Janda explains rationing and why Dr. Rob Steele must defeat Dingell.

  • To elaborate on Sara's comments:

    1) About prescriptions

    - the meningitis shot, malaria shot, & hepatitis shot are not covered

    - costs for these shots range from $50 - $200

    2) the waiting issue

    - To see a regular medical doctor takes 2 days to 1 week

    - To see a cancer specialist (oncologist) takes about 4 - 8 MONTHS

    - The wait in the ER room is around 3 - 5 hours if your situation is NOT a matter of life or death

    Note: I'm from Toronto, Ontario & thus my explanations are specific to Ontario.

  • @nairblin My neighbours', both cancer survivors, (breast & prostate) waited a few weeks to see an oncologist in London, On. Suspected urgent cases are seen very quickly with a phone call from the GP. Our friend, who just had a masectomy, saw an oncologist at Princes Margaret Hospital in a few days after discovering a lump. SHe was biopsied the same day she went, with the operation following less than 2 weeks later. Once she is fully recovered, her chemo begins.

  • @nairblin a week to see a doctor? funny i just saw one in 15 mins .

  • 13 provenances... when did we pic up 3 more?

  • @MysticKnight38

    Sara Robinson is referring to the 10 provinces + 3 territories. Since this video is intended for Americans, I don't really think that they care about the distinctions between territories & provinces.

  • 47 million Americans are still without healthcare. They don't have the money to afford insurance and maybe are still unemployed. Of course, their taxes paid for others to receive healthcare when they had jobs, but their taxes don't pay for their own healthcare. A serial killer in prison received tax paid healthcare. Government officials are paid by and received healthcare with tax money and women with six children by six different men received tax paid healthcare via welfare. None 47,000000

  • @Jessecraft1954

    Excellent Points.

  • HAHA. you have to wait 6 months to get knee surgery. here in the states, i DONT.

    for the record, there are actually tons of people who die on those waiting lists.

  • @wb5704 Futhermore,a recent study concluded that 45,000 Americans die EVERY year due to lack of access to care due to cost. That's > then 10 9/11's. Where's the uproar? For your other claim that many go south for care. Another myth. Read the study, (you know a study, something providing ACTUAL PROOF not opinion) called Phatoms in the Snow. They concluded Canadians going south for care is tip with no iceburg. While a 2007 report indicated that 750,000 Americans went abroad that year for care.

  • @MadHabber93 oh, and because i can't help but argue with you, let me just say this. 'phantoms in the snow' were studies conducted in CANADA. of COURSE they're not going to say that canadians come to the u.s. for care. DUHHH. you REALLY think i'm that stupid? it's COMMON KNOWLEDGE that people all over the world come to the u.s. for health care if they can possibly afford it. oh, and your other comment was ironically self-defeating. 71 waiting days is unheard of here. un. heard. of.

  • @wb5704 Unheard of? You think you just get a knee replacement in a day. Proper diagnosis, measurements, fittings don't happen in a day. Not to mention, if you want a good surgeon in the U.S.,they sure aren't booking in a day, a week or even a month. My cousin waited months for his arm surgery in New York, so spare me your ignorance. And guess what, people from around the world come to Canada as well. Look up the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre in Toronto. Look up Princes Margaret Hospital to start.

  • @MadHabber93 there are probably a few well educated european countries with higher incomes the u.s. but the taxes and cost of living offsets a lot of this. so please. look at the charts. read it and weep.

  • @wb5704 What charts?? Provide your backup. You are great at making claims and bloody lousy at supporting them. Get back to me with facts. Thx.

  • @wb5704 Now, in all fairness, I did find that the gross national income is higher in the U.S. for the individual in 2009 by the World bank. Overall, you would have the advantage on many goods, as you have 10x the size, therefore a better ability to buy volumes of goods at better prices. However, its not nearly as big as you think. And our income tax differences aren't that much either.

  • @wb5704 I can also provide another study link, based by researches in MICHIGAN, concluding the samething as Phantom in the Snows, Canadians use of American healthcare is a tip with NO iceburg. I can also provide you a link showing 60,000 Americans using the Ontario system in 1993. Also, 60,000 Americans using the Shouldice Clinic in Toronto since its inception, averaging over a 1000 Americans using that facility a year. Or the predicted 10 million Americans going abroad for care this year.

  • so yeah, she basically said that ontario has the worst health care and that that's the province where the people are having to go to the united states for decent health care. ontario has the HIGHEST population of any province. (if it was, say, 'yukon territories'... i might have gone with it.)

  • @wb5704 The median wait time in Ontario last year for knee replacement was 71 days. What's the median wait time for people in the States with no insurance who can't afford it, or who are denied payment by their insurer?? Forever!!! How much are many deductibles for that knee surgery?? $5000, $1000 maybe. Sure, they'll get it in 3 or 4 weeks, but at what cost. And your just another American making the claim that 'tons die on wait lists' yet NOT ONE has ever provided me one study.

  • @MadHabber93 canada is basically a watered-down version of europe. it has, compared to the usa, LOWER income, HIGHER taxes, HIGHER cost of living, and LOWER overall standard of living. people LIVE BETTER here than in canada. how does this further my argument that our health care is better than yours, you say? it doesn't. it really doesn't. it just make me happy to say it=) so i'm an obnoxious bitch. you know i'm right.

  • @wb5704 Gee, more opinion backed by zero sources. Here's a 2008 article by Maclean's Magazine, a right wing leaning magazine in Canada. Read it and educate yourself....bitch.

    "Special Canada Day Report: How Canada stole the American Dream

    The numbers are in. Compared to the U.S., we work less, live longer, enjoy better health and have more sex. And get this: now we're wealthier too. "

    ww w.macleans.ca/canada/national/article.jsp?content=20080625_50113_50113

  • @MadHabber93 i really hope for your sake that you don't actually believe this. this looks to be an obscure, nationalist canadian magazine that is trying to make you people think you're better than everyone else. reminds me of nazi germany in a way... anyway, i URGE you to look up any official list of incomes by country, and i GUARANTEE you that the usa is around $10000 higher than canada. that doesn't even count canada's ridiculous tax rates and COL

  • @wb5704 I have looked it up, and obviously you haven't. The median household income, after tax, is $63,900 CDN in Canada while its $49,777 U.S. for Americans. Purchasing Power Parity pegs us at $51,951 U.S. vs $49,777, according to OECD. And that's when our dollar was worth less. But hey, if you say so, I'll take your guarantee. Bwah ha ha ha

  • @MadHabber93 ....your my BITCH now so take a long hard suck on my ass now shit-face

  • @WCBvictim Bwah ha ha. 'your' No dickhead, I've owned your bullshit from day 1

  • @MadHabb...just as a CANADIAN I just don't get it,...WHY are the patients who need surgery being DENIED the UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE they so desperately need. Canadians are so ignorant and oblivious to whats happening right under their noses it's rather sickening and down-right FRAUDULENT; and PROVES that CANADIAN'S PAY TAXES AND GET NO MEDICAL CARE,then are forced to go to were-ever;out of country because of all the CORRUPTION, try paying off your doctor in CANADA if you need medical care

  • @WCBvictim No, you are the fuckin ignorant one who doesn't know how to separate people on workman's comp and those under their individual provincial systems. Constantly repeating yourself will never change the fact the are you ARE A MENTAL CASE.

  • @MadHabber93 ...DUH not only are you IGNORANT, but your lack of research proves you know F/A about the MEDICAL SYSTEM in Canada; DUH,,,look it up at Can LII for yourself,,,maybe if you did a little research before you started spewing LIES, you wouldn't have to pull your head out of your ass..The actual evidence is already available by googling Supreme Court of Canada verdicts, DUH your just another ignorant Canadian who can't handle the truth;

  • @WCBvictim Again, you claim to have this information yet you don't want to post it. Why?? BECAUSE IT DOESN'T EXIST you DUMB FUCK. Unlike you, I have researched this topic providing ACTUAL links with proper wait times. And way to repeat yourself AGAIN. Posting the same shit over and over again does not make it magically come true mental boy.

  • @MadHabber93 yet the US's GDP per capita is higher than Canada's. Maybe its cause we are harder workers.

  • @Quigs10190 But if we work less, and our debt to GDP ratio is much smaller than yours, maybe we work smarter?

  • @MadHabber93 : My Head is about to explode......ARE YOU F'ING RETARDED???? MCLEANS IS THE MOST LEFT LEANING PIECE OF ASS WIPE EVER PUBLISHED. RIGHT WING, IS THAT A TYPO?

  • @duknud Macleans, owned by the same people as the National Post, so yes they tend to be more right wing. ANd btw, fuck you!

  • @MadHabber93 - typical canadian idiot...

  • @duknud Typical ignorant ass American thinking he knows about something he clearly doesn't. Move back already dumbass!

  • @MadHabber93 : whatsamatter, get your head smashed into the boards a few too many times. (Duhh..hockey, large dubble dubble - mentality) .Maybe you live the one town in Canada that has timely healthcare, or maybe you hold a position which is dependant on a public healthcare system. Either way, I realize something is compelling you to make ridiculous comments here. McLeans is Left...its a fact. Canadian healthcare is fine? Grab a brain fucktard!!!

  • @duknud Wow, how profound. In the grand scheme of things, do I give a fuck about some American who lives here who doesn't like our system?? The fact is, most Canadian get timely healthcare. Is it perfect, no. But 90% of us support and would never want an insurance run, for profit system. If you prefer that, great. For Macleans, again, you can have the 'opinion' its left but when you have guys like Mark Steyn and Esra Levant writing articles for it, 95% of CANADIANS see it as leaning right.

  • @MadHabber93. you said it. Its not perfect, nor is it cheap. So to compare apples to apples. The healthcare attention received in the US is far superior to Canada's. However, you either have to pay out of pocket, or hold a decent job with health benefits to get it. Canada's offers free healthcare to everyone, so those of us who work, are paying out 44% of our income via taxes partly 2 support a half assed system. I, and many others (not on welfare) would take the US system if given the opt

  • @duknud Its far superior? Again, opinions means jack shit. And I'm sorry, unles you are making a million dollars a year, you ARE NOT paying 44% in income taxes. Tell me, what did you make last year? What province do you live in currently? I am in the top 5% of wage earners in Canada with 32% of my income going to federal and provincial taxes before write offs. It typically drops to 25% after. 44% is horseshit. Would like an income tax calculator?

  • @MadHabber93 per the taxes...where does that say income taxes....I said taxes. Income tax was close to 22%...then of my already taxed dollars, I paid out 13% sales tax on everything, then 20 - 30% tax on fuel, another $4000 on property tax...compared to my friend in Florida with a similar income, he's near 15% of his gross on these same taxes....WHY? Because he doenst have to fund the healthcare costs for lazy dirtbags who wont get off their asses.

  • @duknud A. FLorida has NO state income tax & his house value is probably down 25%. B. Ok, so 22% is about 70 grand/year, which is similar in most states outside of the 5 States with no state income tax. Let's say you spent 40 grand on goods&services all year, that $5200 plus say another grand on gas taxes. That still adds up to only 21 grand on 70 grand. Add in property tax (which shouldn't count as its municipal), still adds up to 35%.
