Just a tip, These fights are all about mana sustainability, would have been better to just keep up lifeblooms and keep hunter topped off.. Much, Much more effective, Nice job though...

I don't like your way of playing. always heals on your mate before you start. keep the healer cced all the time.. or if its a warrior or rogue keep them cced with roots and ice block and whatever you got. if you follow this you might lern to play some rainbow day.....

I have a question it looks as tho in 2v2 you don't focus on the healer but on the DPS? Is this correct? I'm curious because I have a resto druid friend and I play the DPS and I would like to know what tactic is best, I have a rogue and a hunter in full S2 and some S3 I just want to get better.

As far as tactics in 2v2: who we go for has a lot to do with what the class comp is we are up against. For some of my partners (notably Warlock and Hunter), we usually try to drain one target first before we try to burst down the other DPS. Here we were likely try to get the druid behind on mana a bit right off the bat. But part of the thing about arena is being willing to adapt on the fly.
Sometimes it's simply better, tactically, to do a hard switch to another opponent to throw them off, especially if the other one is being overly "tricky" (as Druids can be). But there isn't a set rule on who of a Healer+DPS comp that we go for, just too many variables over the course of the match. :) In the end we either 1.) Run the healer OOM, 2.) Get a CC chain going on the healer and burst the DPS, 3.) Get a chain of interrupts going on the healer and get them behind on healing, leading
up to a kill. All are equally probable. :) Just be careful about tunnel-visioning to kill someone and losing sight of the opportunities to outplay and pressure their partner! :)

The point is for fun and glory. :) You compete against other players in 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 matches, and your get points for winning, and lose points for losing. At the end of each week, you get points based on your rating, and you can buy some incredibly good gear with those points.

At the time of this video, both teams were about evenly geared. ;) It was filmed in the 1600s so that's about the level of play you should realistically expect (both teams appear to click and keyboard turn, from the looks of things here). Luck? Hardly. Pro? Not at all.

I personally prefer to be at a distance for the opening of this combo if possible, but opening with pounce is definitely wonderful against others (imho). :) You can see me pounce in some of my more recent videos.

Nice vid, Looks like your wearing PVE gear here, If I was that warrior I wouldve chose to go for you instead of Hunter. But Druid Hunter is a powerful team, Good luck with your ratings :)
At the time this was made (9 months ago) I was still replacing my feral pvp gear with resto bits, so yes: those are PvE shoulders I was wearing here, but the rest was full PvP. :) (Thankfully, I managed to secure full 5/5 + weapon S3, so I improved, though it took awhile ;) ).
In the matches I've played (both as druid+hunter and druid+warrior, the ones facing druid+hunter that killed us were actually the ones where the warrior focused the hunter. If he doesn't, or at least doesn't pressure

Coordinating CC is definitely what separates the people jsut starting out from those that are able to push the brackets, though even in the high end, mistakes happen and sometimes both people CC at once, alas. ;_;
hey, can anyone advise me on how to beat a hunter-druid as a warrior-paladin, when you get cyloned, rooted and frost trapped. by the time one finishes, the cooldown on the other is up already.

well first off the druid and hunt are going to be switcing off CC on the war like 3 cyclones 3 roots if the palladin is good he'll be giving the war blessing of freedom.
so the druid will do 3 cyclones and the hunt will be doing freeze trap. as the palladin u have to cleanse it asap and have your warrior stay on the huntard and hope he can manage to kill him b4 u go oom. that way druid has to keep heals on the huntard constantland the warriors MS will help drain the druids mana.
LoS a _lot_, dispel and keep your partner freedomed, and keep JoJ up on the druid as much as you can. Hunter+Druid vs. Warrior+Paladin greatly favors the Hunter+Druid, but if you can coordinate with your Warrior/Paladin, you can put out some good burst on the druid (fear+HoJ+Pummel, etc.).
Also: Shockadin's can take out the pets themselves if they can keep it behind a pillar/away from the opposing druid. ;)

Great vids and altho i play resto-shammy in 3v3 (1803 atm) your vids are informative for any healer. Your style differs some what to mine ~ clearly class differences mean that is inevitable but I would recommend any person who seriously wants to perform in arena to watch vids like this.
I'll definitely to to put up additional commentary videos as time goes on (I think I've done about 4 now). They take a LOT longer to put together, though, so you'll see a scattering of both commentary and music-only videos in the future, but I definitely play to continue making both! I'm glad you enjoy them and appreciate the time I put into them! *bows*
As far as the reason for my delay in 2v2: In previous seasons I made the (semi) mistake of playing arena only with RL friends who
did not enjoy PvP, no less arena. :-/ So.... while I BGed and skirmished my little heart out, I only really got in 10x games each week in each bracket because none of my friends wanted to push for more (everyone wants something different out of the game, and you can't lead a horse to enjoy the "waters" of PvP, so what can you do? ;) ).
The hunter seen in this video was one of those folks that simply didn't seem to enjoy arena, or want to improve (read up and talk about strats, watch videos
respec for pvp, learn keybindings and new macros, etc, and was easily frustrated with loses, so though he's a good RL friend of mine, we decided to part ways in terms of arena (and he has since retired from that aspect of the game).
For me, this actually ended up being a good thing because I was able to form new connections with people who, at once, shared my excitement for PvP, and thus: I was able to grow and improve as a player like never before. :) So while I -DID- PvP in previous
seasons, most of it was limited to amassing fun in battlegrounds and skirmishes, which helped me to later hone my skills, even though it's obviously not the same as small-format arena. :) (likewise: I PvPed primarily as feral in Season 1 and 2).

At the time this was made (9 months ago) I was still replacing my feral pvp gear with resto bits, so yes: those are PvE shoulders I was wearing here, but the rest was full PvP. :) (Thankfully, I managed to secure full 5/5 + weapon S3, so I improved, though it took awhile ;) ).
In the matches I've played (both as druid+hunter and druid+warrior, the ones facing druid+hunter that killed us were actually the ones where the warrior focused the hunter. If he doesn't, or at least doesn't pressure

the hunter with his pet, he can get ultra CCed by the hunter+druid combo.

Guess it's easier for them to spend time being pointedly asine to a complete stranger. Not sure what that nets them, though.

2.) I spent hours of my time creating this video, and have no desire to pull it down. (I am also an artist, and I see that as akin to me destroying my old art because I've gotten better. Why deny the journey? :) We all (hopefully) get better over time.).
3.) I hardly look like an idiot. ;) Not my fault people have nothing better to do with their time than troll videos and not even look at the date they were posted (no less, in most cases, post arena videos old and new of their own).

I think it's easier for people to anonymously, unconstructively troll than to back up their own smack-ralk. It's really sad, actually. :-/

You guys needed to coordinate our CC alot better because when ed him he was in freeze trap too, hella noob move. Talk on vent ct out that your doing your 2 cyclones 2 roots then have the hunt trap

Coordinating CC is definitely what separates the people jsut starting out from those that are able to push the brackets, though even in the high end, mistakes happen and sometimes both people CC at once, alas. ;_;

hey, can anyone advise me on how to beat a hunter-druid as a warrior-paladin, when you get cyloned, rooted and frost trapped. by the time one finishes, the cooldown on the other is up already.

well first off the druid and hunt are going to be switcing off CC on the war like 3 cyclones 3 roots if the palladin is good he'll be giving the war blessing of freedom.
so the druid will do 3 cyclones and the hunt will be doing freeze trap. as the palladin u have to cleanse it asap and have your warrior stay on the huntard and hope he can manage to kill him b4 u go oom. that way druid has to keep heals on the huntard constantland the warriors MS will help drain the druids mana.

LoS a _lot_, dispel and keep your partner freedomed, and keep JoJ up on the druid as much as you can. Hunter+Druid vs. Warrior+Paladin greatly favors the Hunter+Druid, but if you can coordinate with your Warrior/Paladin, you can put out some good burst on the druid (fear+HoJ+Pummel, etc.).
Also: Shockadin's can take out the pets themselves if they can keep it behind a pillar/away from the opposing druid. ;)

Hey Dream.. do you think u could verbally talk through a few more of your vids... and i see you have only just started to actively do arena 2v2 this season. Any reason for the delay?
Great vids and altho i play resto-shammy in 3v3 (1803 atm) your vids are informative for any healer. Your style differs some what to mine ~ clearly class differences mean that is inevitable but I would recommend any person who seriously wants to perform in arena to watch vids like this.

I'll definitely to to put up additional commentary videos as time goes on (I think I've done about 4 now). They take a LOT longer to put together, though, so you'll see a scattering of both commentary and music-only videos in the future, but I definitely play to continue making both! did not enjoy PvP, no less arena. :-/ So.... while I BGed and skirmished my little heart out, I only really got in 10x games each week in each bracket because none of my friends wanted to push for more (everyone wants something different out of the game, and you can't lead a horse to enjoy the "waters" of PvP, so what can you do? ;) ).
The hunter seen in this video was one of those folks that simply didn't seem to enjoy arena, or want to improve (read up and talk about strats, watch videos

respec for pvp, learn keybindings and new macros, etc, and was easily frustrated with loses, so though he's a good RL friend of mine, we decided to part ways in terms of arena (and he has since retired from that aspect of the game).
For me, this actually ended up being a good thing because I was able to form new connections with people who, at once, shared my excitement for PvP, and thus: I was able to grow and improve as a player like never before. :) So while I -DID- PvP in previous

seasons, most of it was limited to amassing fun in battlegrounds and skirmishes, which helped me to later hone my skills, even though it's obviously not the same as small-format arena. :) (likewise: I PvPed primarily as feral in Season 1 and 2).

One out of every 50+ matches I actually find a use for Tranquility. Here, the Hunter was within Execution range, so it saved his life.
