  • thats my speed for 100m SPRINT

  • look so effortless

  • Bernard lagat should be in the final and probably win the gold medal....

  • Ramzi is a weapon....he's back from his suspension..awwwwwwwh yeeeeeeh!

  • Ramzi makes me sick when he throws up his arms at the end....

  • I like how his 1500m 400m split is faster than my 400m race :(

  • I don't care if you're last... You still ran under a freaking 3:40

  • what happend to ethiopia???

  • Why did the guy push at 2:45? it seems like they are teammates or something....

  • @burnit01 you do that when you're "boxed in"

He's really telling him to go faster..

  • arabs got talents

  • Basically they run highschool 400m 4 times in a row....woow.

  • This is depressing cause i know ill never run this fast

Ill just try to run a 350

  • @wombat52195 If you ever managed 3:50, you're a beast - don't doubt it. Hell of a time...good luck with it!

  • The reason why that guy is in 1st is because he has no air resistance :DDD 0:18

  • They got nothing on Hicham El Guarrouj

  • not trying to be racist but all the black people r in front and all the whites r in back at :48

  • Comment removed

  • @28AMurphy thats funny, cuz only black guy medaled...guess it just shows white guys superior race tactics.

  • @MargaritasAntesPorco only one black guy medaled*

  • does it make sense that i find these long distance events not as fun to watch because it is pretty obvious that either the kenyans or ethiopians will win? what ever happened to the 60s and 70s and even 80s?

  • @heresjohnnnyy1 well, theres only fast black people now because all the slow ones are in jail -.-

  • what the hell, there running that entire thing the speed of my 400. dang

  • @headshot0snipe0 thats why they're in the olympics haha

  • Those guys sure are skinny. But at least they can run faster than me long distance. :(

  • @prosporter9 they can run faster then you short distance too :P

  • Whoohoo! White guy gets third! I have a chance at medaling!

  • Don't be fooled! EPO use is and has been rampant in the sport for decades now. Honestly no time from the 1990's or early 2000's is beyond suspicion, nor for that matter today. Until the sport is cleaned, don't trust any of these absurd times.

  • @rutabega234 More specifically, it's a Kiwi who gets third, continuing the tradition of New Zealand's production of fine distance runners. Actually, he was second.

  • What a fucking cheater.

  • Running is not for sissies, ther will be pushing and bumping, what you see in 2:46 is perfectly acceptable. It is a good winn!

  • He was just telling his teammate to go faster when he touched him

  • you suck Rashid. Good job doping.

  • wheres wheating when you need him?

  • no audio?

  • @Messi9Ibra10 There is, you just have to concentrate *really* hard. Open your mind!

  • people shut up about Ramzi doping....we all know about it and he got his gold medal taken away. Its all history now

  • Ramsi's a doper

  • kk dont want people to be like stfu but like he pushed cuz he was boxed in like sometime you just gotta shove your way out. getting boxed in is a bitch and like thats really the only way out...

  • dopers have ruined track and field

  • @Zaxxen69 wat does dope mean?

  • @ksanborn42 Using drugs to boost the amount of red blood cells you have. It allows your body to get more oxygen.

  • @viperdude281 can diet increase red blood cells? I heard running crushes some red blood cells from the impact in the feet

  • @phantomofthedrivein Ive never heard that, but honestly the easiest way to get better at running is to run more.

  • ramzi's a kicker, he held back to the last lap and sprinted everybody out. I don't like that kind of a race; everyone did the work of pacing him through the race, and they all die in the last 300m

  • @musiclover5327 It's simply logic. Someone needs to lead and others have to follow. Somebody is going to take the draft for everyone else. in cycling, it's part of the sport and nobody argues it. It's the same for running. You're spending so much more energy fighting the wind.

  • The biggest problem with track athletics is that the straight is not long enough. It is really hard for backrunners to win. To come from midfield like he did was extremely good and he really turned it on for the last 300... but his teammate carried him into the race better after that push... is that allowed?

  • Pumpkin Run 2010 - Supergirl in GA, Amazing!!

  • if lagat was in this

  • he dopes and it was still close, doping FAIL

  • There was a time that distance running was above doping... sigh

  • @roadrunner7000 really? When? Must be pre 1968! I love the sport, and it is cleaner than most, but doping was being done a long time ago.

  • Ramzi is a cheating little punk!!

  • even with doping he can still barely edge out a kenyan.

  • he pushed the other guy from bahrain because the other guy was a pacemaker, and he was telling him he could ease up

  • 5m more the cunt would of lost

  • brooo he lyk set the world record for 800m almost

  • doper proven. had to give back his medal. lol

  • Who gives a shit about "oh he doped oh no omg he also pushed omfg".

Cheating in any way in any sport is the funniest thing in the world and you all know it too :)

  • @ap1234512,

I wrote in response to @eurodancedj who said that "the kings of the 1,500m are the Moroccans.". I was just trying to show him how TOP North African athletes with the exception of Khannouchi, Aouita and El Guerrouj have used short cuts to rise to the top.

Yes, the Americans have had their fair share of doping too. Athletes from almost all countries have doped but Morocco leads in Africa just like America leads among the current best running nations on Earth. Former USSR too

  • Wheres bekele?

  • @467076

I dont think you are allowed to compete 3 different distances. at least not 1500m, 5000m and 10000m. Same reason why Usain bolt isnt doing 400m, but of course, he doesnt like the 400m anyways, so he probably never would.

  • @LiquidFireNorway I don't think it's even possible to try and compete in all those events and expect to do well thats too much of a toll on one mans body

  • @467076 hes a longer distance runner, i dont think the 1500m is one of his best events, and i would think he would only do his best events at the olympics

  • idk y people are sayin rashid is white, hes not hes moroccan and doesnt even look like a white guy

  • GO Nick Willis!

  • North Americansneed to stop using short cuts.

    1. Rashid Ramzi-Moroccan who runs for Bahrain

    2. Brahim Boulami-former Men's 3,000m steeplechase World Record holder. He doped, got caught, got suspended, has never been the same again.

    3. Adil Khaouch-came from posting average times to running crazy times.

    4. Mohammed Mourhit-moroccan who runs for Belgium (now retired). He doped!

    5. Abdelatif Chemlal.

HIcham El Guerrouj is a man I respect. He ran cleanly and promoted the sport.

  • @SonNative you didnt name a single american athlete in that, and america isnt the only place that has doping athletes, look at all the countries u just named trying to prove that

  • finally a real vid thx!!

  • Carnage am talking about now, that drug cheat Ramzi finally gave the gold to its rightful owner Asbel.

  • shit a white man won. what is this kenya

  • did i just see a white man win a running race?

  • Is there any coverage of the 5k or the 10k?

  • hahahaahah BUT THE KINGS OF 1500 RAE THE NORTH AFRICA ! Exactly the Moroccans

  • why is there no sound??

  • @wolfdog45 you do realize he pushed him because he was slowing down. the alternative would be him ending up kicking the back of him and making him trip up

  • nick willis just sits in the pack and does sweet bugger all and then strolls in for a lazy third, typical new zealand stuff. I bet hes only fit cos hes busy chasing sheep all day looking for a root. Having said that not a bad effort...

  • @fergusthewestie Nick is a bloody good runner though mate, might have a different style but he managed to pull up trumps! 3rd place aint bad for us Kiwis, bloody proud of you Nick! :D!

  • @JBoneNZ Yeh you are right he is a bloody good runner. I reckon he will win a big one eventually. There is also Gregson and Riseley who are going to shake things up on the world scene at some point...

  • good quality! top job

  • nick willis is my freaking hero

  • i don't know how ramzi and other athletes take drugs and think they can get away with it...absolutely stupid

  • @x3pileeeeezy actually a lot of them do get away with it. ramzi just got unlucky

  • I think I've gone deaf?!?!?

Ramzi is sadly a cheat. STOP CHEATING GUYS!!!

  • The mile is missing its king...

  • @YiftertheShifter1 Willis is getting there...

  • @tycosedler I don't think Willis has the measure of the all-time greats of the event... congrats to him for the silver medal, but I highly doubt it will be gold.

  • @YiftertheShifter1 im hopin he will! but I dont know, he has looked at least decent on the world stage...maybe he could have a break through mile or something

  • awesome- -

I never run faster than 5:00

  • AS OF NOVEMBER 18TH 2009, 1ST PLACE IS ASBEL KIPROP---(See video on Title "No Shine on Gold Medal" a Reuters Interview after Asbel Kiprop was given a gold medal. I urge Ramzi to watch that Video.

  • too bad Ramzi was officially busted for drugs a few days ago, and lost his gold medal

  • wow... that kenyan... is tall does anybody know how tall he is... he almost beat ramzi who took drugs... now thats impressive

  • it doesnt matter what times we run unless we are at the Olympics we are all shit

  • That Kenyan kid Asbel who was number 2 to Ramzi deserved to win. He trained his butt off for the Olympics, wish Ramzi would have been clean(used some bloodbooster drugs) and we would have seen a clean competition. Anyway Ramzi turn over that Gold to Asbel ASAP!

  • no drugs would be better!!!!

  • Everyone trains their butts off for the olympics.

  • Today 18/11/2009 he lost the Gold Medal of 1500. He was running under drugs. There are many and many runners doing the same as Ramzi, but the modern technics to search doping is realy very strong now...

  • was that a world record

  • No, well outside, it's about 3:26.

  • Comment removed

  • you're a beast bro! keep trainig, you might end up here some day

  • Comment removed

  • sure you are

  • Comment removed

  • whatever you say bro

  • no one really gives a fuck how sensational you are unless you prove it. post a video or sumthing before you start talking bullshit.

FUCK EVERYONE WHO POSTS A COMMENT SAYING THEIR TIME. I MAY RUN SLOWER THAN WHAT YOU CLAIM, BUT I'D FUCK YOU ALL OVER UNLESS YOU HAVE PROOF.

  • Today 18/11/2009, Ramsi lost the Gold Medal of 1500 Mtrs, 2008 Oyimpic 2008. It was a decision of the International Olympic Committee, for drugs and competition.

  • I'm disappointed to hear that one of the greatest distance runners in the world, the only one to win 800/1500m double at the world championship, not to mention being the current Olympic champion, is a cheat. We'll get confirmation, and see what the IAAF/ IOC does about it, but simply disappointing to say the least.

  • The gold should go to Asbel Kiprop! He is clean and really young, he should be a dominant force in the 1500 in years to come, he already set a PB 1:43 in the 800 this year! Ramzi should be banned for a year at least, until he is clean. Maybe he cheated at 2005 world champs as well.

  • he will receive a 2 year ban and asbel will get the gold. He wont be allowed to compete at the oylmpcs again

  • if you can't beat them you can dope them

  • what a dick first he dopes then look at 2:46 you can see him push. kick his arse off the podium i say

  • Thats part of the bahrenians tactic, he push his parter at the begining of the bell lap, so his parter will take the lead and set the pace, then sprint from the last 300 to 200, that way he would take some athletes energy. then ramzi will take the lead in the last 200m and sprint to the end, it's al tactic, pushing was the signal.

  • @wolfdog45 thats crazy? why didnt anyone see that he got pushed?

  • @wolfdog45 You can do that if you're boxed in.

  • @wolfdog45 that was his teammate, i think he was telling him to move or that he was going to go in front of him.

  • Cheat, god can these guys make the sport look any worse. Its a dam shame you know..... Glad Kenya will get what they deserve.

  • god, that kenyan has some long legs!

  • GIVE KENYA BACK ITS GOLD U NO TALENT IDIOT!!!!!! ASBEL is the king of 1500m

  • @mnandi984 No Hicham El Guerrouj is.

  • @mnandi984 Acually, if you runs 1500 m in 3:32:94 and wins the Olympic games, you have talent.

  • No hero any more!

    Just a criminal!

  • Criminal? you should think what you post, perhaps just a cheater...

  • @franforest I think it is pretty much criminal. Fraud is a crime.

  • Mehdi balaa is third if control Cera E.P.O is confirmed!

Thats really cool for him and i hate cheaters!

  • IOC to Ramzi: can we have that Gold medal back please lol

  • Doped!

  • cheater!!!!

  • german fernandiz will beat this!

  • i watched this live, nick willis ftw

  • no sound, but atleast I wasn't Rick Rolled

  • hey guys look at around 2:46 and 2:47 is it me or does it seem likerashid ramzi is pushing the guy infront of him?

  • sometimes people do that if they think they're about to clack heels.

  • that is very normal especially when the athlete in front of u slows down all of a sudden..Rashid Ramzi is my youngest brother's best friend and I know him since he was a little boy just playing in Jerrifat old stadium in Safi,Morocco..he has enough class and talent not to be pushing athletes to win.

  • And he used dope...

  • I Do The 1500..

The First Time I Ran I Almost Puked.

    5:09 7th Grade..

  • i did puke!

  • 100m is my event!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Obama.. 100m is apparently everyone's event, well the vast majority even though they can't even make it out of cities. I'm guessing a good number of people would be reli good long distance runners if they didn't have their head up the sprint all the time.

  • you know these guys are running the mile at a pace that even track runners can barely hold for 1/4 mile?

don't judge them, id like to see you on that track.

thats my EVENT there. the 1500m.

  • Nick Willis has the heart the size of Phar Lap's.

  • fuck wilis that shaggy douch thinks he a big shit

  • Check out Nick Willis from NZ, 11th to 3rd in the final lap.. the man

  • man, what i would give to have a stride like that

  • Right now it doesn't matter if he slowed down before the finish or not. It doesn't matter if he made am error near the end. The clock doesn't matter either, medals aren't given according to certain times or meeting of certain records, they are given to placings. The bottom line is Rashid Ramzi was the best man on that day mistakes or no mistakes, records or no records. Also, when athletes run fast times and make mistakes, it just shows how much potential they have to run faster.

  • all you want to do is fight and boast how great Ramzi is. you wont even listen to common sense that's how foolish you are. it is a universal "law" in track that you don't slow down before the finish. in the olympics winning is all that matters, records and time; they mean nothing. ramzi only won by .17 of a second, so unless there is something wrong with you it's not a good idea to slow down before the finish line.

  • Well he broke your 'universal law' of track and won the Olympic gold, something even Morceli and El Guerrouj could not do in their first attempt. Its not much of a law if you can break and still win the highest honour in athletics.

Train hard, race smart and do your talking on the race track. That is the universal law my friend.

  • it is not my "law." but like all laws sometimes you can get away with bending them. that is what rashid did, he did this and he won the gold. but when you bend this law to far and slow down to far before the finish, that is when you are going to be in trouble.

  • Masutatsu... this was not Ramzis first attempt at the olympics. He was at athens where he got knocked out in the semis.

  • thanks

  • man 52-53 sec. last lap

  • what the heck the guy who won threw away an olympic record he slowed down at the finish

  • The 'guy who won' is at the pinnacle of the sport right now after the retirement of hicham el guerrouj. In contrast, you are an idiot who sits at home posting stupid comments on youtube.

Wake up! Records can be broken anywhere, but you only get 1 chance every 4 years for an Olympic gold (doubt he could have broken it anyway).

  • well for crying out loud you're making it sound like i said the guy was a crappy runner. I know he's awesome, i'm just saying what my coach says "never slow down at the finish line" look what happened to morceli at the 1997 world champs (yes i know he lost his confidence during the race but still)

  • What makes you think an Olympic champion would give a rats ass about what you or your coach have to say about running? I don't think you even put in 1/100 fraction of his training. He could probably 'slow down' for the entire 1500m and still beat the best runner your coach has ever produced.

Morceli was the best in his time and everything that El Guerrouj became later on. He lost mainly because he had gotten older by that time, your pompous advice would have changed nothing of the outcome.

  • all this crap over what i said about breaking an olympic record. grow up. im not talking to you anymore because its a waste of my time.

and by the way, i didnt mean morceli lost to el guerrouj because he slowed down at the finish line, i meant he lost the chance to get the bronze medal.

  • Have you ever won a race in your life? Whatever level are competing in, it is obvious that you are in the rear pack.

Can you even fathom what Morceli was thinking when he, the king of the mile, chased El Guerrouj to catch him but realsied he could not? And to later witness his old rival, Cacho, sprint past him? What is a bronze medal to someone like Morceli?

Fool. All you can do is to quote your 'words of wisdon' and judge other people.

  • what! you doubt he could have broken the olympic record! the record is 3:32.07, rashid ran 3:32.94. do the math.

  • HaileHailu, my point was that the win is more important than the record and that idle people should not critisize high level athletes such as this but should celebrate in the victory. After all, timings are dependant on many things, such as weather and tactics, but the best man (who may not necessarily have the fastest personal best) will still win the race.

  • dude, 6 meters is a LONG stretch when you are going that fast

  • If you really want to 'do the maths', you will realise that at his race pace, he would have had to be another 6 meteres in front to get 0.87 seconds faster, which is why i doubted he could have done so on this day. I did not suggest that he lacks the capability to do so.

  • you doubt he could have reached the finish line 6m closer than he did even while he slowed down near the finish? sure he is capable of doing so but what makes you think he couldn't have done so on that day?

  • Excellent race, very well run Rashid Ramzi. Kenyans were surprised at the pace in the end.

  • because kenyan loose.its not class .

  • why is there no music or commintary

  • no music or commintary oh well but finnaly i get to see the race

  • 2nd (damn)

  • 1st!
