  • HEy that Bay bridge tunnel use to be only 1 Road 1 lane going i coming. back in the 80's I use to ride it once a month. Not to much fun on a bike very dangerous

  • extra speed boost from f-zero arrows!!!

    LMAO!!!

    i was a f-zero dude as well!

    very cool dude!

    love ur bike!

    saluuuD!

  • this is really cool, great job

  • I've watched Hak5 on and off since the beginning, but I had no idea you had a bike! How did a bike nut like me never notice?

  • Part 2 please :)

  • Great Video!!! I Also loved the hak5 vecation video. I hope to see more of these. awesome!

  • Wow so this was all done on a tiny Creative Labs Vado HD 720p Pocket Video Camcorder with 8 GB Video Storage and 2x Digital Zoom (Black). Like 100 dollar range camera? That fits inside a standard helmet with just a little velcro? I couldn't remember the name of that camera. Amazing cost effective solution.

  • This reminds me of two other solo motorcycle films Robert E. Fulton Jr. 1932 twice upon a caravan and more recently Gaurav Jani's, Riding Solo To The Top Of The World. Of course interceptor monkey does he count as a b%$&h rider?

  • lol ... I remember my f-zero days and kept riding over the arrows hoping to get an energy boost !

  • wow cool vid how did you upload it on day one ? how u got internet? well awesome vid

    upload day 2

  • awesome, keep them commin =)

  • "Do I get a discount for being awesome"

    Amazing!

  • very good darren :) but kinda annoying though (not in a horrible way don't worry) i mean as a motovlogger watching this i can see the thought put into your video editing and camera angles showing through straight away and is clearly more creative than head forward on bike vlogging (clearly your experience in broadcasting shining through)

    really good job :)

i think a few of us can learn a bit from these videos of yours if i'm honest, keep em coming :D

  • I mean no disrespect to the motovlogging community and I really don't want to step on any toes. I know this isn't your traditional pop-a-camera-in-your-helmet video but honestly the effort put into it is quite similar when you get down to it.

I just wanted to stretch my editing capabilities and have fun learning and experimenting with the medium.

I'll have to do a video breaking down the narrative formula, recording and editing techniques.

  • I did 100 miles in a canoe over a week. one of the most fun times.

Lots of beer too. actually that what made it fun..

  • Geez Darren - GPS? You'd be dead riding my way with a paper Atlas and dead reckoning using sun position and such. I''ve never gotten lost and I've been through 47 of the 48 continental states, on bike, car. pickup and heavy truck. Regardless of your techno-dependance though you have to admit getting out with the bugs and tree frogs is a nice change from civilization.

  • What I didn't show in the video was my backup paper map sealed in a water tight plastic in my tank bag. Just in case. But if you've got the technology why not use it? Though I address my mixed feelings about "following the pink line" in the next installment of this series.

  • Awesome vid. Nice work Darren.

  • Wow man.... This is Gold... Love it... :) 5*

  • 9:24 i find myself saying that alot to myself

  • great episode! i think you have found a way to share your geargeek passions with us

  • Awesome!! Love all the different angles you were able to get. Mine's gonna look like crap compared to this... ;) Looking forward to more!

  • F-Zero reference was mega pro.

  • "do you wanna race?" lol :)

  • Some kind of Ewan Mcgregor influence, dont you?

  • Actually the initial influence was @journizer and @atlasrider but I did just watch all three (Long Way Round/Down and Race to Dakar) in the last two weeks. What can I say, I love the documentary style.

  • That is fantastic. Anybody who has tried to create one of these should understand the amount of time and skill that goes into making something like this. The fact that you were able to do it all by yourself is amazing. It looks and sounds great on the big screen on Boxee thru AppleTV at 720 P. Great Job I'm looking forward to the next installment.

  • Nice! thanks for the tip. I only knew about all Ewan documentary style series. Although i've seen in Natgeo (maybe) a serie about some guys travelling around the world in 3 Patrol Nissan trucks; anyway congratulation Darren!

  • That sounds interesting. What's the name of it? I'd like to see that.

  • Currently i'm in Costa Rica, and yesterday morning i was just watching that show, and could you belive i dont remember the name? I will look for it through the internet and let you know.

  • Darren, how u doing?

Look, i've been looking for the show i mentioned before, and nothing. Well, in fact, i got some information (very little) from the Nat Geo web but in spanish, nothing in english. The show is named 'El Mundo sobre Ruedas' something like 'The world on (or over) wheels', but i didn't find anything under that name... Anyway, look for it and tell me what you think. Bye!

  • Awesome vid, hope you'll do more!

  • I like it :-)

  • 5:56 "goodbye, Bitch." lol.

  • Beach, not Bitch ;)

  • i know it just sounded funny lol

  • It's Beee Otch

  • Nice place to ride through, wish we had places like that here in Ireland to ride through.

  • Dude great video plan on doin same thing but smaller scale on my mountain bike back here in Wales also who`s your bike companion.

  • what model of honda is this?

  • gj Darren, id also like to see more of these

  • God this looks fun.
