The character of FF13 is named Lightning (not the first time Square has named its characters after aerial objects, Example Cloud, Squall, and the characters of FFX of your party I believe are all named after celestial (planetary) bodies in Ryu dialect (Tidus= Sun, Yuna= Moon). I can't remember exactly whats its called but she also will have a special power that can be used as well (Whether its this games version of Limit break, Trance, Overdrive/etc etc I don't known)

That girl IS the main character. And her Codename is Lightning. She is able to go into Overclock mode(Sort of like an overdrive).During Overclock mode, the whole time slows down except for the user.

vsXIII is a completely different game, but at the same time it isn't...you will be playing a different character...but the story and timeline is somewhat the same and your character's story in vsXIII will over lap the character's story in XIII...don't know if you've played it but something like they did in Halo 2 where you played as the master chief...then as the arbiter doing something completely different...except its seperate games. ^^ hope I answered your question... ^^

Nice to see a video of FFXIII, but it's not Versus. There are three seperate games of FFXIII (FFXIII, Versus, Agito), all of which have different main characters, Versus main character is a man with dark hair and red eyes, who controls 10 swords.

This game looks amazing. The music is seems great, the battle system seems awesome, and the "main" character isn't a annoying metrosexual dude...even though im sure one of your party members will be. and the summons are cool. A Shiva-Cycle= Cumtastic.

Final Fantasy has shown over the course of its 20 year reign that it can deliver excellence. I wouldnt count this series out. Even though well be getting this series for a very long time i feel that SE wont disapoint us. The battles on this version look like ATB but then again it may play like XII. I read somewhere that verses will play like Kingdom hearts and if anyone has played that knows how great a battle system it was. Basically we got 2 awesome Final Fantasies to look forward to.
