If Fox news is a bit biased, RT is 100% biased with some creative fact finding thrown in just for good measure. This is usually the case.

Pepe talks a lot and writes a lot. The Asian Times went on-line in 1997 when the Asian monetary crisis hit Thailand and elsewhere. He has some knowledge, travels widely, and has opinions mostly left leaning, but I wouldn't use him as the final-word expert on world affairs and geopolitics. Rather consider his views and "facts" as just another strong voice in the pie of truth that we try to eat each day. Burp!

I do see a flaw in Pepe's thinking... Its to do with the proximity of US to South America. Its unreasonable to think that South America will be a safe haven for China when it comes to resources/energy. When the "buying" gets serious, USA will be in a better position. We are closer, rail and pipe is easier and cheaper.
If USA is smart, it has the upper hand... Even Venezula will come the way of USA in long term.
