IF you are that scared then tell one of the teachers, HOY, form tutor etc.. As long as you make it quite clear that you are NOT going to fight this kid then if he takes you on the thats his problem. You and your mates should write statements of what happened, submit them to your HOY and it will be taken further. I work in a school with 2000 kids. Make it CLEAR you are not fighting and walk away. If he attacks you then try and get away. Make sure you WRITE IT DOWN. Get it on paper buddy! :)

First, I see your point. Second, I was bullied and swarmed and severely beaten for YEARS, so unfortunately I have lots of first-hand knowledge about this terrible issue.

But, let's keep it real. People who are bullied are often a target (inappropriately so) for some (perhaps not a good) reason. It may be insecurity, lack of self-confidence, or lack of support (not having a group of friends to cover your back).

More should be done (especially by the parents and teachers) to address underlying issues of the child being bullied (whether they be lack of self-confidence, or some sub-optimal social skill that makes it harder for them to develop supporting friendships).

Telling immature bullies to "just stop" won't solve the problem. For me, removing me from the abusive environment, and helping improve my social skills is what should have been done.
