@projectinprogress Well thanks for the like and comment both! Since making this, I've realised civil war is highly unlikely to happen along state lines- more likely the reasons on your channel- but hopefully sanity will prevail before it comes to sending the troops and air strikes in.
I Love it ! wow i need you to make me an intro ! lol, I am going to start preaching soon, feel like its time to stir the pot a little this will be the main focus of what I will be preaching on from the bible>James chapter 5
@raw5069 Must give credit to a friend (ALightToSeeBy here on YouTube) who shot my first dull, boring version of this intro, then went "nup" and suggested something closer to this. Yes, by all means use a gimmick when you start to preach James 5. Clearly Jesus was a great entertainer too!
@pootang47 Interestingly I've found several other takes on the Australian Civil War since putting this up, right here on YouTube, maps and all. I guess we can't help thinking about it since the USA had theirs when the country was young. Hey, thanks a lot for dropping by. It's been a while!
@davidsquall351 You raise an interesting point there, David. I did have NSW and the ACT (Australian Capital Territory) against the rest until a friend said "all the states against just one is not a civil war" so changed the scenario to add Victoria (next state to the south) into the Federal-Government-loyal alliance too, and had those "old" states fight the newer resource states. It really annoyed the animator of my big Australia graphic... he had to render all those flags/tanks over again!
@roycpc464 Just between ourselves, I did rely on Hollywood to fly those troop-filled choppers past my windows- they were doing it for "The Matrix"- but I'm glad you dug the way I put it together!
@NJKatwoman Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, producing the whole movie remains an ambition: I think a simple 20 or 30 million dollars ought to cover it... As for the blond young man you like, well, that's my brother Jon swearing "You lied to me!" in the white shirt, Peter Van Vliet giving tactical updates in the waistcoat and tie, or if my greying hair qualifies me as a blonde, I'm the embattled politician in the glasses...
Awesome Dave! Well put together. I can be a roving international correspondent who escaped the civil war and is currently hiding in Europe if you like.
@benzone50 Now that's an excellent idea, Ben! Neat reversal of World War 2 when Europeans were busy blowing each other's heads off and Australia represented sanctuary.
@lesliewand True 'nuf, Leslie. I saw a comedian once who said Australians probably wouldn't be bothered with a civil war because it'd interrupt the footy. As for the choppers and F18s, the Matrix producers and the Air Force do drive a hard bargain- or I'm sure they would if they knew I was stealthily shooting their flybys...
@GeoffJennyOliver Thank you, GoJo! Same applies to your "Metropolis" which I liked the other night. Ol' marvellous Melbourne (which I set up in this trailer as an ally of NSW) has never looked better!
