i first built a box with 3/4 MDF and then glued another 3/4 of birch ply, the corners are oak quarter rounds. in total the walls a 1.5 inch thick with two braces inside. i stuff the box with ploy-fill
How is the box finished? Is that not veneer? Is that just birch plywood and rounded edges? I was thinking of going with that for my build. Please tell us how the box is finished and what material. Thanks!
what you are hearing is a vinyl record and the connection goes like this, Technics 1200 turntables to Vestax mixer then out to DBX 223XL crossover to a CE1000 crown amp bridge mono to 4ohm (1200watts) and then i use XLR cables for hook ups. no plate amps just proper power amps.
Holy fucking hell. That thing seems to hit damn hard.
Mind telling me what active crossover + amp you use or are you just using plain plate amp with that? I just hate the fact that my integrated amp does not have line level output, so I'm pretty clueless how to hook up a sub without plate amp that has speaker level inputs/outputs. :(
