I've been watching awesome math rock and somehow I got referred to this... surely this has no value other than to say "he can hits drums fast and growl". I'm not saying that it's easy to play, but there's no musical value here.

@TheProgFather7 The musical value is the intensity and energy. It's certainly not math or prog in any shape or form, in fact in many ways it's the exact opposite. You don't listen to each section as a rational structure, you feel each section as it blasts your brains out with raw energy. If raw, chaotic energy doesn't make you excited and fill you with an overwhelming burn inside, the music probably isn't for you. It certainly does for me though :)
