it's impossible to have the nymph flow as the same speed as the current with an indicator on. water on top moves much faster than the subsurface water. the indicator ends up dragging it. and shalaah is right. oliver edwards is a god and should be studied, not this goon
While with heavy tippet and big streamers you can need a more aggressive strike with small nymphs often all thats necessary is a strip of line and a lift of the rod to feel the fish's weight.

Technique = Awesome
Presentation = Horrible
Nymphing takes soft hands and movement. Check out some O.Edwards' stuff about nymphing, and see the difference between him and this guy here.
