  • It goes to eleven....

  • its still more hp than my stock 1988 rx7

  • I need more power sorry

  • great bike, I'll be getting my license soon is this a good first bike?

  • @jouruji Heeeelllllll no

  • @DirtRider500R Is it too big? Or is it the riding position?

  • @jouruji Its extremely powerful and pretty dang heavy. Start out on something smaller (like a 600 or smaller.) The V-Max rocks out with a 1700cc engine that makes nearly 200hp and is most defiantly not a good beginner bike.

  • i love thisssssss

  • A guy at work has a VMAX for sale.Its got 15K miles,I think its a 96.He wants $2400,,,should I buy it? It'll be my first bike.

  • @TheoneGodfather too heavy and too much power for your first bike. I cannot say that is a bad price. It is a great deal if it's in good condition with those miles but 140ish HP and easily over 530lbs is a bit too much for a first. If you are looking to make money off it..consider buying and reselling.

    Cheers

  • I will have one of these before i die!

  • anybody can ride the owner's manual...

  • They might as well just name it

    "Yamaha Badass"

  • @busuncle23 yep

  • Excellent bike the worst reviewer!

  • So you think it´s expensive?

I live in Denmark, here it cost 75.000$

  • Hey Im Adrian and im starting my own motorcycle blog! (: i would really apreciate it if u would go in novamotorcycle of blogspot!

  • Extremely powerful cruiser!

  • Lame

  • One thing I quite dislike in the Vmax is it's engine temperature which literally kills the sperm's in my balls. I can't even drive it with shorts and sandals!

  • @gudboyz100 hasnt been a problem with me on my gen or gen 2. you either live in vegas or only ride it up and down the driveway

  • @archetype891 asia to be specific

  • @archetype891 Aren't american driveways 9 miles long?

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Did not mention anything about handling, cornering, seating position, wind factor after 60mph. I mean come on. This is supposed to be a *review* of the bike.

  • @misterminhas just find some reviewes from europe..

  • thegeneration 1 maxes scoops arent plastic like the surf boy said either they were aluminum also. just for show though didnt actually get any air from them

  • How you like the bike? how much it cost? Did they make more of them this year?

  • The B-King is awesome, it's does everything better and is the overall better bike, but it will never give u the fell and exclusivity of the Max. Having a Max is like having a tiger for a pet, u can never relax, u must be always in total control or it will kill u! And that is what makes it so special.

  • @changrider i actually did laugh my ass off when i read your post. because i have had a tiger and a Max for a pet. you stated it better that i ever could. you're right on both counts. u can never relax. must be in total control or they will kill you. well said

  • @357daedalus Thanks, I'm glad u got a good laught out of it. Lol

  • I had an original 85 and the cowl intakes are aluminum not plastic! Never heard of a plastic cowls on any V-Max.

  • This guy's douchebag voice made me want to take an ice pick to my eardrums.

  • I bloody these things. I'd love to have one, but at a list price price of 21 and a half thousand quid, it's a bit out of my reach... :(

  • You need to check this guy out "vmaxstars" Im suprised that- that guy doesn't have very much of any subs or viewers. I told him I was going to post this and well i am to help him out ;)--------- Bye the way liked the vid!!!

  • @flyboy101100 Damn your a good person :) Why did you do that?????/

  • This one joins that mile high pile of big yawn videos.

  • I like this bike, takes after american muscle, but I can see why people say you don't need the power, but its good to know you're bike has the potential to go fast.

  • @hyperbeat96 don't need the the power? perhaps. i've been in a couple situations where breaks and steering wouldn't have gotten me out of. it's good to know you have the option to twist the grip. whats going on behind you isn't to inportant

  • Very uninformative review.

  • I want to smash him with a sledgehammer

  • i dont get the point of this bike. its a 200hp cruiser. 200hp on a sportbike i can understand cause you can take it on a track and you are going for performance. but this kinda bike the 200hp is going to try and kill you plus put a pillion on the back and they will be scared shitless. that power will never be needed.

  • @nz3rdsqr over here in quebec they are crazy when it comes to sports bikes they will charge ya 1000$for the plate every year. so we try to go for the sport touring and cruiser class as the plate for them only cost 600$ per year. so for us its a cheaper alternative of a sports bike.

  • @nz3rdsqr :D you got the point exactly

  • this guy is a idiot , and never seen a old max ...the scoops were always aluminum . also I think the old max sounded better

  • same skill riders, what would win, Vmax or Triumph Daytona 675, i know they are different class of bikes but the HP vs agility kinda evens it out, my money is on the Trumpy

  • @destined2sleep nope.....look up jon cornell. hes got one of these bikes in the 8's in the quarter mile. just watch some videos. jay gleason ran a near stock 09 vmax 9.55 seconds. the trumpy cant do that.

  • @destined2sleep the new vmax would destroy that. the gen 1 vmax might be a good race

  • Woah dude this is a gnarly bike for burnouts man I'm gettin my tips highlighted later want a hit from my bong?

  • this dude sounds he has been smoking weed. plus horrible review.

gotta tell the statistics of it and specs

  • This dude is on acid or what?!!

  • @omidool nah, just blonde

  • ايه المكنه الجماده موووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووووت ديه

  • LOL - talks about burnouts... Combined with that faggy haircut, the guy is clearly going through a mid-life crisis.

  • i'd like to see how this thing stacks up against my HARLEY-DAVIDSON. a real motorcycle!! BRA BRA BRUM BRUM BRUM BRUM BRUM. for real i need this new vmax. i have an older one and it is badass. i just imagine what this one sounds like with drag pipes and a power commander and a few mods.. probably be pushin 220 hp..FUCK YEA!!

  • Small things amuse small minds.

  • @nebulabob well, then, quit playin with your dingy. don't come on a bike video and share with the youtube community that you have a tiny dick! you stupid fuckbag

  • sometimes it is just impossible to deliver the REAL feelings via video.

you have to try this beast in real life in order to understand what a godlike bike it is.

love this ! just love this !!!

  • 200 HP and stupid burnouts. What a hero. Do some growing up before you cripple yourself for life, or worse, get somebody killed riding with you.

  • They are very quick and impressive but they are an ugly bike. Ill stick with my bikes. Night rod special and a speed triple.

  • I am 54 and a grandmother and I want one, at least to experience once before I hit the grave.

My formers are Suzuki 750 trimmed and the 1100 also trimmed;-)

Well; one can dream can´t you ?

    Nice video

  • @annerough: You are awesome!

  • @annerough

Thanks for all thumbs up and comment ;-)

You live once, might as well enjoy it :-)

  • @annerough Go for it Grams, but remember , this machine might be your ride to the grave.

  • @moshen66

Well; This Grams will ride to the grave smiling :-)

    You take care now!

  • @annerough Go for it Grandma! Simply an awesome experience!!! Gotta try one to truly understand. And I thought my V65 was scary. Tame in comparison to this beast.

  • @Thebearcat66

    Thanks!

V65 well that Honda is pretty awesome ;-) I haven't had the change to ride it but heard good things. The main thing is enjoying the ride and like you said "Gotta try one to truly understand" as some people think one is a bit bunkers.

    Have a good one =)

  • @annerough Matters not what others think really. You only go around once. Enjoy!

  • @annerough sweetheart, my 81 yr young mom want's to ride my vmax. if ya get a chance go for it youngster

  • mmmmmmmmmm a lot of v max. Why dont they give me one?

  • Not a single fucking wheelie.

  • u properly need to harden a bit and stop being a Euro pussy? Just a thought!

  • I like the Vmax, but at 27 mpg, I may look elsewhere.

  • ugly

  • American review .... no point

  • okay okay, I get it... we all know its essentially a muscle-bike. What else can you tell me about the bike?

  • First statement "it has adequate power" than states "has mountains of power" ?? WTF? Doing a burnout on a bike for what purpose? This review is definitely a 'miss' for motorcycledotcom!

  • from the beginning.....the v max has ALWAYS been about burnouts.........duh

  • @bademployee BS. The VMax is and always has been about acceleration that pushes your eyes against the back of your skull. Burnouts are for... well, just for fun. LOL Keep having fun. If you're old enough to comment on the original VMax, you're allright.

  • @itsonlyrcknroll ur right...lol stay well.

  • you think you could embarrass a GSXR ride in the corners lol hahahahahahahahahaha dont no more you twat it hurts vmax out corner a GSXR hahahahaha

  • @GSXR100045

You couldn't be more wrong. Any competent rider will outride a novice on a sportbike every time.

  • @crash86ed lol im not sure if your taking the piss or what a competent rider vs a novice rider ? no shit at that high cc of a v-max and a GSXR the competent rider will win every time but two of the same riders sorry v-max or should i say v-less will never win just look at what there called a SPORTSBIKE

  • @GSXR100045 Taking the piss? What?

  • @crash86ed lol Aussie for joking or being sarcastic

  • @GSXR100045 lol jelous

  • esta moto no necesita publicidad, pero si esta Bien hecha perfecto

  • I would like to see this motor in a sportbike.

  • This has to be the most rediculous review I have ever seen. A really sad individual this one. Burnoutking? Agree completly with dnerhebehrend. The worst review I have ever seen, if you can call it that at all.

  • How much from 0-200 and what is max speed?

  • DUDE TOTALLY MAN RIGHTEOUS BRO

  • shut the fuck up the vmax is mad to be senseless

  • Shi**est review EVER!

  • Goes from 100mph to dead in a split second. I hope whom ever buys these will think before they twist the throttle. But unfortunately that isn't always the case.

  • He's a long way from the surf shop.

  • @44CONMANJ i think he would kick your ass.

  • @m109rocket Nope I bench 950lbs

  • in the usa is this thing cheap in my country it is 25.990,00 euro's

  • for 7 days only. Download your Free Motorcycle Manuals here - ** freemotorcyclemanuals (dot) net **

  • I am one of the lucky few people who have had the priveledge of riding a VMAX. Ive ridden EVERY kind of motorcycle, and every year. This bike is hands down SCARY ! If you want raw dead head power that will rip you off the seat, the 09 VMAX will scare the hell out of you.....

  • @shootnmove

    I want!

And am getting in the next couple of weeks...woooohoooo!!!!

  • nice bike, bad reviewer

  • me love it ! cind ma fac mare,.. imi cumpar si eu una !

  • I wish that I had that bike!!!

  • Just so you guys know, I passed my test at 17 and have had nothing but sports bikes since. Im now nearly 20 and ride a ZX6R-G2 and Ive never had an accident in my life, yet I can keep up with most (including my mechanic who is very experienced). "Rice Rocket" riders arnt all retards, douchebag.

  • then dont come to America!!

  • Wasn't for Americans, you'd be eating schnitzel. DIAF.

  • unclemepi, if it wasn't for Americans there wouldn't be Terrorism in the western world you greedy oil steeling tossers

  • Nice bike enjoy.

  • @MrKing1961: Right On! I agree 100%. I don't think kids should get a mc license until they're 25+. Too many good people are dying on bikes!!! The rest of us are stuck with the assholes in cages.

  • im 21 and i ride responsibly.

first bike, v-star 650.. no matter the age, skill comes with riding more and more, not faster and faster

  • fuck im 17 and i ride a honda shadow spirit 750 and i always drive safely. its retards that get rice rockets and think thier a professional racer and end up get fucked up

  • I owned a brand new V-Max in 2000..

    Awesome machine..V-Boost is sick.

I sold it was because it handled badly...

It was top heavy and couldnt corner ..You sit in an upright position on this bike , and at speed you get nailed with wind.

    Its a drag bike.

  • I am old school, had the 85 Vmax in 1985 & 86 in 86. I had a motto on my plate, "Nothing comes close", and i honestly can tell you nothing did. Loved the Candy apple red 85. Also, the scoops where not plastic on either one.

At the time the dealers like Ted Evens in LA were dumping them for $4.235 brand new in the box because they were killers!

Ridding a Vmax was a true pleasure, a loaded gun with hammer pulled back.

Not a boy bike, Not a man's bike, a man's man bike with Persian attitude.

  • I have a friend that had a V Max. It would only go

179 M.P.H. so he got rid of it and bought a bike that would go 186 M.P.H.

  • so where,s the numbers? if the reviewer spent as much time on the bike as he did with his hairstyle we might have clue-

by the way this chic ' EVELYN' at BONNEVILLE- got 168 MPH out of a box stock one of these.

give me a gsx 1100 EFE anytime tho'

  • I've always loved the Vmax for standing out and doing things most cruisers cannot do, beat liter sport bikes. But to @rashee29 unless you will be taking safety and riding courses there is noway I would recommend this bike as a first bike. I've seen a lot of riders where I live (San Diego) die when they buy a GSXR or CBR 1000 as their first bike, Way too easy to lose it on a mountain road. Heck a friend of mine has a Ninja 250 as his first bike and he handles corners like a pro.

  • Look Man, when the V-max first came out, you couldn't even get insurance on this bike because they KNEW it was a drag bike !

In fact, this bike has killed more Marines at Camp Pendleton than any war ever did !!

Burnout's HELL YEAH,....that's why at a Stop light any Harley rider shitits his diaper.

It's all about off the line torque...and YES , it is, and will ALWAYS be a DRAG bike,....that's why there is NO Rubber on the back tire. end of story.

  • how many balls can you fit in your mouth ???

  • why are you talking about burnouts?

who cares about being the "burnoutking"?

No european review would talk about something as senseless as burnouts.

What about brakes? Acceleraion? Nm? Weight?, Handleability?

    Really bad "review/test"

  • @dnerhebehrend This guy doin the review seems like he knows about motorcycles like I know about weather satelites for fuck sakes! What a twit!

  • @dnerhebehrend This isn't an European bike, or company...It's an American bike

  • @MMAElite91

It's a yamaha. Go sit in a fucking corner and quit making the rest of us look bad.

  • @dnerhebehrend has nothing to do with being American or euro this is just a shit review.

  • @dnerhebehrend you dumbfuck, it's a vmax, and it's 200 hp. it corners like a champ, and he even stated that he would smoke a gsxr on it..haha..that pretty much describes it. it's a VMAX. if you rode one you'd understand. you just can't afford one so you like to complain, along with all the other noobs that thumbed up your whiny jewish comment. i thought this was an excellent review. quick and to the point. if you want to know the weight, look up the tech specs, you faggot

  • @dnerhebehrend i bet your from yorup, you whiny brit-fag. what a stupid screen name you have!! if u say it real fast it sounds like "da nerd he inbred", or downer he be bend over. you brit-fag go ride your moped to the cafe and have some tea and crumpets while your yoropeean boyfriend bends u over and fucks your ass you poor schmuck

  • @BobSagetsDad your taking shows your niveau. better do burnouts insteat of commenting.

  • @dnerhebehrend hey, you idiot, before you start tossin' around five dollar words, learn to spell the 1 dollar words first. you fucking stupid piece of euro-trash.

  • @BobSagetsDad why what did he spell incorrectly? and btw this is a shit review Americans cant do anything right.

  • @LOL1994jake your should be you're, your should be you, insteat should be instead.

    lrn2english

  • @LOL1994jake except win world war 2

  • @dnerhebehrend hes not European dumb ass

  • @ryanm21588 You call him a dumbass? Man, you're the dumbass here. He just means overal American reviews are bad because they only talk about useless stuff, and European reviewers don't. Where did you got to school? Damn...

  • this bike is in Ben 10 alien swarm

  • amazing bike its new model has sexy style.

  • I need some one who is a real experienced biker to let me know if he would recommend me to buy the Vmax. by the way im not experienced and beginner.

    Thank you

  • Hell nah bro, WAY too much bike for a beginner. Start with a 500 or 750, have you ridden b4 at all?

  • @jamesff151

no bro! i never drove any bike. I just got my driving license.

What do you think of the Suzuki GS500?

  • Then my advice would be that yeah a 500 would be a great starter bike but take it out in a parking lot or side street for the first time and get a feel for it b4 u take it on the road and A MUST is a helmet, you will take a few spills, its a part of learning, and most importantly DO NOT GET COCKY, this is when you will wipe out. Get a feel for the bike and its brakes, any tips you need jus holla! Deuces! Have fun!

  • @rasheed29 go for it, just take it slow to start with. where are you from and how tall are you?

  • @RafaeINadal

    thank you bro for responding.

Im from Jordan and I live in Dubai.

Im 6'5 feet and weight 100Kg

the Vmax will be my first bike ever, some people advised me to start with a small bike, and they have warned me from the Vmax. what you think?

  • @rasheed29 i wrote a big message but utube ddnt display it...if you are a responsible sensible type and not in a hurry to be fast buy it. Its a motorbike not a wild horse. But just wear the gear and get used to the power and cornering slowly. Fear will get you but not confident caution.

  • Vmax as your first bike ?? well, you'll find some handling issues. i suggest to have a 650 dragstar to start with. One you have enough confidence to go for a "FULL PACKAGE", then climb on a V-max.

    ride safe.

  • I see what you mean. The other idea might be for V-Max to do what Suzuki dod to the new HBusa. They introduced 3 modes A B and C for riding styles. This in a VMAX would be great.

  • DO NOT start out with a V-Max. It is a very powerful bike that you are not ready for yet. Nothing against you.

  • @echo4Texas

Thank you bro, how long it will take from me to be ready for Vmax?

    thank you for your reply

  • Rasheed, I commented to your page.

  • You need to get very familiar with bikes before you get a bike with 200 hp. if you are 30 years + take a chance but please be safe, God bless you all.!!!

  • hay man, i am 5'9 , and my first bike was vmax and so far i don't have any problem and i am even thing to get the new one , if you be care full nothing will happen . it all about how crazy tou are. buy it and enjoy it.

  • IF you like this bike buy it ,but star with a smol bike, this vmax is very powerful I own one, I have 32 years riding,

please B safe eny bike can be denger.

  • @MrKing1961 Learn how to spell "rider" :))

  • @rasheed29

I have been driving for 20 years before I also took up riding 4 years ago, and now I ride both Magna 750 and X4 (1,300cc), which was Honda's answer to the previous VMax.

From my personal experience with the more friendly X4, I would NEVER recommend it to any beginner motorcyclist. And since this new VMax is even more powerful than the previous one, it would be even harder to control. I'd definitely not suggest you to start your biking life with it - start with something easier.

  • Check out the custom V-Star clutch lever at clevverlever , com

  • I had a '97 and also prefer the old styling. But I wouldn't refuse if given one of these.

  • Great awesom driver

    black balls here

  • Now this is Vmax! Not the olde one which corners like an elefant.

    LP

  • othe old one looks better

  • i have old max and no plastic scoops ,idiot

  • How long before the ghetto takes over this bike like it did to the Busa?

  • Well, they've been out a hell of alot longer than "busa's" soooo, never.

  • Not the old VMax, I know when it came out.. I have 2 of them an 89 and a 2003.. Im talking about the NEW one. The ghetto is claiming alot of newer bikes.. just wondering if this one will become the new "Busa" disaster..

the Old Vmax handles pretty good for what it is. I ride the shit out the ones i own. They dont handle like my GSXR750, but still better than any cruiser!

  • Oh ok. I know what you mean man, I hope not, this one will hopefully be too pricey for that to happen.

  • This bike handle much nicer then the old ones,I justo owne a 85,99,03 this bike whare very good but the new one is a real plasure to drive, my friend has a 2009,I just drove home a 2010,and I love thes bike, the best!!!!!!!!!!

  • haha gay y am i watching this hahaha

  • damn . . . that's a great Porsche hog

  • omg, thats a crazy num
