  • If you got the time, Steel cut oats have about twice the amount of protien and vitamins in it. And of course less processed...

    I'll do about

    -1 cup Steel cut oats

    -1 cup Quinwa

-1/2 cup milled raw flax seed

    -wheat germ/wheat bran for color

Boil untill water is all gone for about 10-15 minuts and stur several times.

Top it off with some Agauve necter and some Organic "So Delicious unsweetend" Coconut milk....

and you got a great breakfast :)

  • who says oatmeal has a blant taste or wutevr .... !! its SOOOOO delecious just by it self ...:)

  • Please give the video a like if you don't mind! I can't tell you all how much I appreciate it.

  • why is your measurement of 1 cup double the size of mine? O_O

  • what if i only have chocolate protein powder is that fine?

  • wow I love quaker oats and it add me on my favorite recipes..as we all know oats are good for the heart...it's really good food to stay us healthy and sexy as well...

  • This was great, but I did not require any sugar or sweetener. The vanilla protein powder and the cinnamon were more than enough.

Optionally, I also tried adding some fat free milk and it improved the richness as well.

  • Im making this tomorrow for breakfast

  • @leanbodylifestyle No wonder I can't find it in Finland! It might be here aswell.... Or then we just don't sell it.... That could be it aswell...

  • you are better off with sugar than u are sweetner

  • make oatmeal with brown sugar if you hate the bland taste

  • 50 grams of oats, some cinnamon, a banana and 2 spoons of peanut butter natural blended. How healthy for a dinner 1-10?

  • I simply just don't understand so please tell me, why it is a problem, that this oatmeal have protein powder? (sorry for the bad english, i'm from Central Europe)

  • @leanbodylifestyle I watch your videos with an active interest. I gave this particular video a thumbs up 'cause it's great and I really like it. However, I think one important question posses here whose answer would increase the thoroughness/usefulness of the vid. It's this: How much grams (or ounces) does a cup, that you use for oatmeal/water, contain (a cup is an ambiguous measure given the different cups available)? Again, great vid and keep up the good work! Cheers!

  • @callumown

I didn't even bother checking. Having recently moved from the US to the UK, I am trying my best to find replacements. I miss Kashi and Yoplait like crazy but I knew even before moving here that variety would be much much less--no protein bars, which is why we have Mike's recipe to make our own. I am not that sold on the idea that sweeteners are bad for you so I just go with splenda and canderel--yeah the latter is truly artificial in being derived from aspartame but so what.

  • Hey Mike, I really love your videos and found some great ideas in there that fit with my eating style. One request and question I guess: could you add some nutritional info or serving sizes? For example, I had to half the recipe for the oatmeal here as I calculated it'd translate into about 550 calories. Being a small to average size woman with not much fat to spare, I have to really watch my cals but still eat enough to maintain or hopefully build lbm. ! thanks.

  • @leanbodylifestyle what's your opinion on the "breakfast essentials" drink? Can you drink it with a normal breakfast? Does it have good nutritional value? Thanks in advance

  • Ey nice recipe. Its been like a week or so since you made dis... =o (i think?? lool) you alright bro?

  • @callumown Buy it on ebay, - I did, no problems. Also, some herbal medicine places online sell it as through some legal loophole they can sell it here. I'm in Belfast.

  • Just subscribed. My 6 year old son loves your videos and now I do too. Keep up the good work and we'll keep watching!

  • y dont u make your oats with milk like a real man.

  • @leanbodylifestyle whats the best bodybuilding cookbook for men inbox me please real book no ebook

  • Good job !!! I also frequently eat recipes using protein powder, oatmeal, and egg whites.

  • how much water u drink a day?

  • Excellent video.

  • IM SUBSCRIBING!!!

  • @leanbodylifestyle Think that falls under the same category :( I think i can still get hold of stevia on the internet but I think ill pay more for it because its banned

  • apparently stevia might affect your fertility 0o

  • @callumown why? they want us to be big fatties too?

  • I just started watching your vids and I love them. Im in the process of dropping weight and am doing 1/2cup of oatmeal. I am left hungry until luch and some times I add unsalted almonds, fruit or a spoon of yogurt or cottage cheese to liven it up. Would going from a 1/2 to a full cup ruin my weight loss outcome?

  • It's nice if you cut up slices of stewed apple into it. Tastes like apple pie.

  • RAW OATMEAL. BEST STUFF

  • Stevia is also available in germany...

But its mostly declared as cosmetic product until its officially declared as food.

  • This was very good! Dont know how ppl can dislike, well anyway, i was wondering, does mixing protien powder in food like that mess with the digestion of the protien itself or is it just the same as drinking it

  • cinnamon doesnt' have any taste. it only has smell. therefore cinnamon is only good to spread on top of food, not mixed in it

  • why would stevia be banned ?

  • @Comicus00 Something aout lack of nutritional information.

  • @Comicus00 'lack of clinical information'

  • @Comicus00 i told this guy this before, but he doesnt mind since body builders use it on season, but theres talk about it leading to infertility.

  • @narezul The herb Stevia is safe and wont make you infertile...the reason it has been shunned as a sweetener is their is no profit in it for a company to produce, and It doesn't raise your blood sugar levels at all. If you use Stevia, and if your in the US the food safety bill has been re interduced that would ban Stevia and all supplements. Due to the manufactured E-Coli outbreak in the EU

  • @Comicus00 go read about it. but youre right about the bill, ban and the outbreak.

  • Hey Micheal how is it in joplin are things starting to clear up yet i had'nt have the chance to go there yet?

  • cool!!!!! finally a oatmeal I can eat and is good for me :) gracias!

  • finally, a new video! :)

  • That was way more than a cup of oatmeal..?

  • hey i love your videos

  • @leanbodylifestyle I think PureVia is available in the UK. Stevia is banned through the EU bar France.

  • hey, i always appreciate your creativity mate! :)

  • in my oatmeal i add flax seed, mushed up bananna n some honey n it tastes great... i have some eggs along side that, yuuummmmmmmy ... i like your choice of ingredients, i will try that out

  • Any recipes using quinoa?

  • I love oatmeal... it's because of the neutral taste of oatmeal that it lends itself well to other flavours. It tastes good from what you add to it, like fruit, milk, whey protein, peanut butter, etc that makes it tast good. Thanks for the recipe!

  • Nice video, keep up the good work man really enjoy your recipes

  • yo u should use a little bit more water so it blends better or instead of water use skim milk. mmmmmmmm........... milk.

  • @leanbodylifestyle Don't fret over those people who like to hate on you and your recipes. If they're so awesome, and they know so much better than you--then they are not your intended audience, and they do NOT need to be watching your videos.

So there's no reason to worry about or respond to people(haters) who are not your intended audience.

A lot of us (like me) really like your recipes and appreciate you putting in the time to show us. Don't let the haters get you down; you do good work.

  • @leanbodylifestyle Michael, what the fuck happened to you ? When did you start caring what people say...Don't mean to offend you in any way dude, but...that's pussy like. Get your self together !

P.S. I love your videos, recipes are awesome :). I did the protein and egg pancake recipe and totally screwed it ;D.

  • in my oatmeal i like to add sugar free jelly and natural peanut butter with diced banana's .. but i am going to try this for sure...

  • hey Michael do u know any healthy Chinese food recipes?

    -christian

  • If you want oatmeal that doesn't taste like crap then cook it properly. Takes 5 minutes and turns something nasty into something very delicious. Buy the regular (not 1 minute oats). And use milk.

Heat it at low heat for 7 minutes on the stove, mix in some cinnamon / protein powder and there you go. Nice full oatmeal.

Microwave oatmeal tastes bland and the consistency is nasty.

  • @kimmimliley900 im from norway too :)

  • I wanna try this out :D,but i will probally dont find what I need for it ,Im from Norway;)

  • why just don't combine it with milk?

  • Great video, I usually do the same but I dont cook the oatmeal, but I like it like that lol

  • Hey, another great video, but could you do a video on Omlettes and pancakes? ~ Jack
