@4apollo There is a torrent, which is all 4 seasons (including the movie pilot). It's weak so it'll be slow. Took me more than 2 whole weeks, but the wait was worth it!
Very interesting to see Nielsen in a Mountie uniform, especially since his father was one.
@t43562 I think it is an ideal that we all strive for. It is great that a TV series highlights the good that we can work towards (and not wallow in the dysfunction). I've seen this goodness in others, not just Canadians, I suppose it is what WE want to look for....
Farewell, Leslie Nielsen...and when you meet Sir John Franklin in the hereafter, tell him Benton, Stanley, and Dieffenbacher are still searching for him.
Well, in every country there are heroes and villians. This may be just a TV show but I imagine (maybe wrongly) that it sort of shows what Canadians think a heroic figure should be and it's very very appealing. It's a kind of joke that BF is so honorable and straight and that he thinks the best of people but who wouldn't love someone like that if one met them? I'm a Zimbabwean and I long for the idea of diamond-hard incorruptibility, kindness, courage. Thank you Canadians for this ideal.
I cried when I watched this episode. I was like "nooo, it can't be over". I eventually came to terms with it, but went out and bought the whole series to comfort myself. I Due South!!
I really think Ray and Fraser probably do confess their feelings for each other in the end. They're clearly there, and all they ever needed to do was accept and acknowledge them.
Being American, MASH? But, I hear you completely. my mom sees the mash finale and cries I see Due South Finale and ball my eyes out it seems so... Final. but then I remember I have them on DVD and see them whenever I want THank God For small favors!
You and me both buddy. I'm an American as well but this series is my fith favorite in the world. I hope they revive it soon, it would do just as well if not better than the first time.
The last episode was great, how all the characters got together and then went there own different ways. It was a sad moment and I miss the Due South series.
I work in the Canadian army, and the salute means respect. People salute officers that are ranked higher than them. When Frobisher, a sergent, salutes Fraser, a mere constable, it shows him all the respect he feels towards him. A sergent saluting a constable is never seen, and that's why that scene is so touching.
Is it bad that I cried manly tears at this?

I miss this silly show; I have no money to get DVDs and can't find Internet ones to watch either.

If they made a movie, would they finally kiss? What, it's not like they didn't want to.

This ended beautifully.

@hpletterdancers
I think they were at a point were they didn't even have to confess their feelings anymore because it was so clear to both of them :)
In my personal opinion this was the best ending of every show ever...just so damn beautiful :)

Bit of a nitpick, but how can Diefenbaker be the lead dog if he can't hear Fraser's commands?
oddness2her 3 years ago
I pretty much think Dief is faking the whole deaf thing, lol.

He can read lips, Fraser mentions it with Ray Vecchio.

Some things are of their time and letting go can be hard... my romance, for example, with a tall, Black Anglophilic Canadian...

That's why Fraser is almost bewildered when he says: "Sergent Frobisher saluted !" And that he is very emotional when he says: "And I saluted back."
