  • Wow! This is really good!

  • am curious is this a effective kick for fightning and if so why? and why is it that you almost never see it in like mma?

  • @lunoson search for bruce lee's sidekick

  • i would not want to get kicked in the temple by one of those :D

  • lol he said have alot of fun with these kicks

  • Awesome kick i did it but i fell on the ground and hurt my leg :D .I will practice this kick more and more till i learn it correctly . THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS LESSON.

  • Great kick!!!

  • if you show the kick in slow motion, it would be perfect

  • @MakOeee 0:57 ?

  • why don't you do this kick on mister bob

  • This guy has great kicks.

  • I have to know this for black belt

  • i did it and it works thankss

  • haha press 4 wait one second and do it again!!!

  • @ziamo100 ? what about it

  • i can do this easily but like.. im wondering how the fudge you do that with ur left leg :OO left legged perhaps?

  • I think this is the kick that Chan attempts in his fight with Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat.

  • Wtf is wrong with his forehead?

  • good kicks you have a question you have for this balancing act can only

I have been doing taekwondo 1 year I can kick a lot of kicks to the hook but I can still jump to the non-but thanks for your tips

  • good kicks you have a question you have for this balancing act can only

  • need more practise, if not... sure pain

  • im having trouble doing this kick.... and my left leg sucks =[

  • AHAHAHAHAHAH and that´is what i call a hooker! xD

  • Good technique BUT lacking teaching skill. He may as well have said 'Ok Jump and kick'. Could have done with explaining the foot position, hip twist, how to position the head and shoulders etc..

  • AWESOME! I'm so doing Taekwondo now.

  • it is much more easy if you turn your side rist and then turn to get even more momentum you can also use your knee i may post a vid on this if I get a camera soon:) maybe by december:)

  • ratucamoraka nuki faguto naraka ashimi

  • Great job on the video, clear explanation!

  • anyone know what that thing is called "bob"? When I first knew that I laughed so hard

  • My favorite kick i use.

I've done it on a bob once, but i broke the face and the metal holding him up :(.

My brother did it on a heavy bag, and broke it in half >_<.

  • @hazza3 bullshit...

  • @TheJasonSoon Nope. I've told that story a couple of times now. The Steel bar holding him up was bent and the face was ripped.

My brother really did kick a bag in half using this kick.

  • @hazza3 wtflol

  • @hazza3 broke a heavy bag in half?! thats a lie...

  • @musicXpiano Not a lie. He kicked it and it split in half. Thank God it wasn't expensive.

  • @hazza3 dude not dissing u or anything, but its a HEAVY bag it must of been really really really cheap to just break from a jumping spinning hook kick

  • @musicXpiano Dont remember myself. We had it for 5 years, i was only 10 when we found out he broke it while training, and iw as at school, he was 17. Actually that was the same year he got bullied for playing soccer instead of Rugby. There were 3 of em, and he used this kick again and knocked out 2 of them and broke the other guys jaw.

If it helps, he's 6'5" and was 90kg at the time. It was about the same size as a 40kg kicking bag but alot heavier.

  • @hazza3 he knocked all 3 of em with that kick??? ok i cant believe that either Lol the chanced of landing this kick in a real fight are really low specially 3 people and a heavy bag wouldnt break in HALF from this kick, id understand if u said he knocked it down or something but break in half?

  • @musicXpiano Lol i know its hard to believe but it is true. Though he didn't jump for the 3 bullies. I dont see how it cannot happen as the heel is the point of the leg, so hitting a face with it can do just that. With the right force and technique, you can generate ALOT of power with the heel.

Knocking it down would need a back or side kick. Which will be tough since its held up by steel. But the bag itself is not as tough. So it makes sense that a round heel will rip it in half. Basic physics

  • @hazza3 dude i know ive been taking TKD for like a year now i know the power of these kicks im saying their not the easiest thing to pull off in the heat of battle, and no you call it basic physics its a HEAVY bag Lol i dont think you understand, IF he really did break something in half it sure wasnt a heavy bag

  • @musicXpiano 4 years Rhee style, 4 years ITF style. My brother, 10 years Rhee style. 6'5" 90kg at the time.

Dude, it is a heavy bag, but leather doesnt make it invincible. Physically, a strong enough kick with the added bottom weight could break it in half.

Me and my bro know these kicks better than most people who have been taking TKD for 2 years. It was def a heavy bag lol :).

  • @hazza3 dude i dont doubt your bro is that good but i just cant believe it lol

  • @musicXpiano It does sound hard to believe but it is true :). You'd be surprised at how much power you can generate with a spinning back kick.

  • @hazza3 o dude believe me i know, its the harderst kick in TKD the chest pads neutralize their full effect though thats why u see a lot of spinning hook kick Ko's man i love that kick Lol

  • @musicXpiano I never sparred with protective pads before. I competed in a Rhee style competition and we used the boundary rule full contact competitions. In 2004 they started using pads because there were to many injuries -_-.

My best kick i can pull off is the spinning heel whip or rotating back round kick(it has alot of names). I always land that right on the chin.

Epic power man. Heavy bags ragdoll from it. Hurts when you do it for the first time on a Hev bag though LOL!

  • @hazza3 haha well with kicks like this u have to expect injuries and i hate how many names their are for them and some names are just retarded Lol

  • @musicXpiano Yeah, a rival Muay Thai gym in my old town called those spinning back kicks, "Dragons Whip" lol. No wonder they never beat us in events :D.

In my Rhee style we called them, Round Heel. Simple, 2 syllables, not over dramatic haha. In my old muay thai gym we called em Reverse Crescent kick.

To be honest, i dont care about names aslong as i can teach how to use it in the ring.

  • One of the best Expert Village videos, usually they suck, but this guy describes it very well.

  • that was epic.

  • he didnt try it on mr Bob T . T

  • aw. i wanted him to do it on bob. :(

  • he has an amazing technique

  • Its called a 360 kick... but a good video for someone to learn how to do it if they havent learned yet.. Mines still not perfect after all this time

  • @eg2410109 Its called both actually So Yes.

  • @eg2410109 Yes, its called both. Im lookin in my tkd mannuel as we speak

  • @tkd4life2400 No, not here =) The title is right man...

  • hes called a Sa-Bum-Neem

  • Karate is a Martial art is self.

And its obviously Taekwondo If you have eyes

    read above name

  • is this karate or martial art?

  • @taskeenfatima its tae kwon do its a korean martial arts

  • @Hakuru15 okay thanks :)

  • i love learning some tricks from this guy

well i think that this guy is perfect for me because he just explain everything

  • What makes this a reverse hook? Why not just call it a jump spinning hook kick?

Thats what your doing... Jumping ... spinning ... and throwing a hook kick. Nice technique and execution by the way

  • @mrmicahtime loads of people name kicks differently. Its really annoying!! i think it just depends what u were told it was called when u learnt how to do it

  • Comment removed

  • That's what my school calls a snapping hook... it's considered bad technique... We keep our leg straight it generates more power although it doesn't snap as much.

  • @Sportslova7 A straight leg isn't a hook its a heel kick. 2 different techniques. Your instructor should teach both strikes b/c a spinning straight leg is much easier to block. (although more powerful)

  • @mrmicahtime I am part of a different organization. A hook kick has a straight leg.

  • Is this guy Steve Terada?

  • no,. it says Calab Labarda

  • What's the name of this kick in korean? :)

  • @Thymonico its bandeshagi

  • @Thymonico Dee Ah Dwee Hondel Chagi San Dan

  • beautiful kick

i can get the kick right, but i cant get my jumping leg to tuck in like that

  • dats da kind of kick dat will stun a crowd in a school fight/ damn

  • i kaan dew this quite perfectly >:D

  • i agree hehe

  • that guy is cool ASIAN

  • Its just awkward for me to "hook" my kick =.-

  • and i had forgotten how cool it looks if u do it right

  • barely jumps :o

  • This is actually a jumping 180 reverse hook kick.

  • @Pupperooni Actually, in taekwondo term, it is considered a jumping reverse hook kick, just as the video is titled.

  • This is actually exactly what the video says it is.

    Jesus, some people! Lol

  • Well duh! This is tae kwon doe! Everthing needs practice!

  • I just kicked my head trying this

  • @RedcoatMusketeer oh god as soon as i read that comment i laughed

  • Expert Village is so shit. This kick could break someone's neck and he tells you to have fun with it?

He doesn't even explain it well...

  • @FormerlyMrBean667 LoL, I don't own a Mr.bob so I might aswell try it out on my brother xD

  • I can't jump up then kick! GRR!!!! I keep kicking my legs so low.

  • @MegaChocolate321 Practice more . I'm doing karate but I like tricks and so I decided to start off with Tornado kick . Tip : Start trying in the air first , get the twist then when you have it right try raising your leg higher. After there done , add power by using it on a punching bag. Hope it help , keep it up

  • he never said have fun kicking people in the head with it.

  • he den't say to try it on people he said us to have fun to practice

  • he should actually hit a target with the kick

  • 1:04 "Have a lot of fun whit this kick"?????!!!!!

You can kill somebody whit it!!!!

  • why wear a belt when he doesn't wear a dobok? Probably to show people that he actually knows stuff.

  • not sure where the top half of his dobok is looks like he has the right pants on :)

  • wtf why didn't he hit bob?

  • you can really hurt your knee if you kick a "bob" or punching bag with a hook kick

  • it's hard even my legs are flexible.

  • Sensei Caleb, you are a great teacher, I practice kickboxing and jiu jitsu. People that really understand martial arts, will find in any style, something to learn. For example, this kind of kicks are really well explained and teached by taekwondistas. Sensei, I do really appretiate the dedication you give to our art.

  • hes not sensei, its taekwondo

  • in korean its saw-boo-nem

  • in my class, its just sir

  • less traditional but ill say it is much easier to say lol

  • what do you call the teacher in tae kwon do?

    I am really curious.

  • "sir"

  • sir

  • kyosanim

  • sir, master..depends really

    at my school we have

    our kwanjonim and we also

    have a Sabeomnim

  • @bluebelt224 the word would then be sabonim if i spelt that right

  • @hapkidolance actually, it's sangmonim, thats how it's pronounced, not sure about spelling

  • @bluebelt224 okay, it's actually saw-boo-nem

  • @bluebelt224 sabunim

  • @bluebelt224

    He's a sabonim

  • @kingzero200 I KNOW! I take Tae Kwon Do I know what it is lol

  • @bluebelt224 just saying :P

  • @bluebelt224 bosabum, sabum, saeyhong or saesong....could never remember which dan goes with which title^^

  • @bluebelt224 sensei really means "born before/have more experience".

A sensei could be a doctor, a school teacher and Taekwondo instructor as well :)

  • @ViktorColling ...but to respect the Korean origin of the art we call him sahbumnim.because sensei refers to Japanese arts.:)

  • @ViktorColling

SENSI IS NOT A DOCTOR OR A TEACHER YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT

    SENSI MEANS INSTRUCTOR ONLY

  • @ICET100 It seems that word means a lot to you and I am sorry if I have ruined your image of it.

Actually I do know what I am talking about. I speak Japanese you see.

The word consist of two characters: 先生. the first meaning "before" and the second "birth".

In other words: Someone who was born before you and therefore have more experience.

The word is used for many things. One being in school when referring to the teacher.

The western world only know the word from "Karate Kid" though ;)

  • i really like dhis video of urs. because it is all about; 'Tae Kwon Do'! which is an tradicaly-style from Korean.. in the land of Korean, there's is a school for those who he/she is intasrse about the history of "Tae Kwon Do"!! ;) trush me i know... will to tell the true about myself *sigh* i'd have a disability PrObLeM!!! :( sad isn't it? so anyway i think that u might give it a try or two.... >you know?? so i'm going to give it a 4-POINTS!!!! :)

  • great kick..

    powerfull, strong and fast..

    great for KOS

    good demo!!..

but ppl learn this in class not over youtube you need some1 tell you the flaws you cant see

  • ya Tae Kwon Do was the first martial art I ever learned, I always hated this kick, mostly because after you hit the target you disrupt your momentum and fall down, but I finally found something that worked, low crouch and hit the back of the knee, swing it around into he stomach, jump up then axe kick, always worked for me

  • If only I had more space to kick.

  • go outside lol

  • There's no PC outside.

  • ive been tryin that for ages and could never do it properly but after watching this ive learnt it thank you

  • cool now i wna join taekwondo

  • You don't "Join"

    You Commit yourself to it.

  • I agree, I started young, and was in the studio for a year or two because I had to moved, but I continued my training and I still do it today, simple, if you cant commit then dont join

  • easy and fun to do :D

  • Thats the Kick solid snake does in MGS 2 the tanker level....Awesome...i wana learn that....what martial art style is this...

  • Taekwondo.

  • uhh taekwondo, if youd read you would know

  • That was pretty Cool. Better than mines.

  • Took me a day to learn this too. Figure Skating for the win!

  • Yeah I did figure skating before I started Karate as well, its been helpful.

  • u kidding? this looks so hard lol

  • It's all about the pivot and height.

  • it took me a year to get this kick! i fell on my ass a whole bunch of times and broke my arm trying 2 get it at first but the first time i did it, i was happy.

  • a year !!?!

it took me a day only.....

you should have learn the jumping spinning outsidecrescent kick befor this kick, as hook kick s very technical as we all know XD

  • ok but i dont do tae kwon do. i take a japanese martial art called shorinji ryu kenkokan

  • a good way to do an exercise for this is do a side snap kick,(back leg) swing kick then do this kick

    do that several times

  • its an easy kick

  • oh gosh i remember trying this kick for the first time...SO EMBARASSING! LOL

but yeah it looks easy but itss soooooooooooo hard

  • Now thats what i call a kick...

  • that kick looks easy but its really HARD . . .

  • oh yeaaah

i was wondering what i was doing wrong.

i didnt tuck in my other leg

    now its so much easier

    tnx alot

  • same here! standing version is my favourite kick, never really got the jumping one with any effectiveness. mint

  • to easy

  • lol 1:01 have alot of fun with these kicks he means kicking someones ass

  • wow impressive, you must have strong leg muscles to perform kicks like these!

    hes really good!

  • so easy!

  • i can't do that it's very hard

  • Lots of practice. It'll get easier. Keep at it!

  • Very nice kick :-)!!!

  • i just started a week ago (4 times a week, 1 hour each) and there is like sooo much i want to learn i cant get enough of ITF TKD, i feel like a peice of sponge dropped into an ocean xD!!!

  • this guy needs to work on his balance. he should stand on one leg and squat up and down for balance, and leg strength.

  • the move isnt impossible and he does it good yes but its a jump spinning hook kick lol

  • so Sir Dummy was just watching him?

poor Sir Dummy was placed there to get jump reverse hook kicked but in the end they just ended up tricking him poor dummy I feel ur pain. T-T

  • lmao!!

  • sick! and i can almost do it :)

    (no belts)

  • I can't get the rotation in for it other wise i could do it

  • search: jump spining back kick, its a ROK video(revolution of kicking), that helped me to get it right ;)

    hope it helps you!~GL

  • I'm no martial arts person but its fun to try. I can spin, but the leg I leap off with which is also the kicking leg doesn't have enough of a swing to keep the spin going so the kicking leg starts to go down when I facing forewards rather than carrying me through. Plus long legs don't help either I'm sure. Try being 6 5. XD

  • well u probaly are just having troubles cus you dont know the basics

try this,if i can explain it well enuff lolz...

put ur kicking leg in front then swing ur back leg foward like kicking a football

in a spinning manner, and then start the the kick wen ur rotating its easier starting with that cus u get more momentum

and we just call that 360hook kick

  • im 6:P

  • yeah been practicing this for over a year... I suck lol you make me look like garbage

  • I didn't think you could snap the hook like that and finish with a straight leg. I always thought you start stiff legged and end that way but his chambered hook kick is excellent.

I'm gonna use this way from now on definitely.

  • Great. Now hit the dummy with it.

  • i know i saw that. the end i was like why the hell did u have the dummy in the video shot if it wasnt gonna be used lol haha

  • Ohhhh... there's a reason all right.

    Go ahead and try it.

  • i have. i hit my illy bob dummy all the time doesnt hurt

  • hey!! dont call bobs cousin bob a dummy =p

  • well he is a dummy because he is always getting hit

  • The only way I could pull of a move like that is to get Industrial Light and Magic to do up a digital stunt double of myself. I give it to the instructor, he makes an impossible move look so easy.
