Jericho had one of the greatest years in wrestling history in 2001. Won the IC-Title, the tag titles a couple of times, the WCW title, and became the first unified champion ever. It's a shame it took HHH getting hurt for Jericho to get a chance.

The promos back in those days were great and so were the matches, storylines, etc. The attitude era without question was my favorite time in wrestling, BUT...I think that wwf got to big and too good for its own self back in those days. It was TOO GOOD and now wwe sucks not only because of the shitty characters, but also because it can never match up to the way it used to be back then.
I'm sure gutted that The Rock lost this one. I mean, No Mercy 2001 happened in the same building where he first won the WWE title. And this event was the perfect moment to kick Chris Jericho's ass. But the Rock and also Kurt Angle are very good in making it look as if the opponents attack is really strong. Just look at the rock getting a Stone Cold Stunner!

I'm sorry but I will never agree with a "nothing special" part. The Rock, in my opinion, is the highest class wrestler, the best speeker on the mic in pro wrestling history. Or have you seen anyone else, who could turn on the crowd in such league, that thousands of people chant his name all over arena? He was one of those people, who made wrestling a world wide entertainment. Y2J is one of the best as well, that guy's great in the ring, but better than The Rock? Don't think so.

The promos back in those days were great and so were the matches, storylines, etc. The attitude era without question was my favorite time in wrestling, BUT...I think that wwf got to big and too good for its own self back in those days. It was TOO GOOD and now wwe sucks not only because of the shitty characters, but also because it can never match up to the way it used to be back then.

What? Chris Jericho has ALWAYS been at the level, possibily even beyond the level, of the Rock. I mean, damn. Chris Jericho has been around since before The Rock even started wrestling, just because they never really used him correctly ever, doesn't mean he sucks or isn't on the same level. Jericho has wrestled with the best of them and won, he's really damn good. Watch some of his stuff from Japan and WCW. Even some of his matches now. Jericho IS damn good.

Back then when it was impossible to pick a favorite wrestler because they were ALL amazing, well most if not all.

Well the way I see it, a good wrestler also is good in being the victim. Thats called selling moves, some like Hulk Hogan just dont, sell them that well... But the Rock and also Kurt Angle are very good in making it look as if the opponents attack is really strong. Just look at the rock getting a Stone Cold Stunner!

I'm sorry but I will never agree with a "nothing special" part. The Rock, in my opinion, is the highest class wrestler, the best speeker on the mic in pro wrestling history. Or have you seen anyone else, who could turn on the crowd in such league, that thousands of people chant his name all over arena? He was one of those people, who made wrestling a world wide entertainment. Y2J is one of the best as well, that guy's great in the ring, but better than The Rock? Don't think so.
