I loved this He-man way better than the 80's one.. because first of all Prince Adam DIDN'T look like He-man.. and Hordak was a Badass oppose the the Wuss in the Shera serires. Skeletor was really evil, and the whole "RISE OF THE SNAKEMEN" saga which put everyone (even Skeletor) in danger.

People need to take their nostalgia goggles off. Yes, the original He-Man was great for its time, and I still enjoy it. However, it had plot holes, badly written dialogue, and several ridiculous concepts that came off as cheesy. This series has all of the good but none of the bad, something you people refuse to see.

@JokerOnFriday I will mostly agree with you. Admittedly I grew up in the 80s. But also, I consider myself open-minded, especially to new things. Both old and new He-Man are great. But I have to say, there's a "special something" that was done in the 80's that's missing from today. Something about the "epicness", from the appropriateness of the music to the casting. From the new Star Wars, new Conan, Bay's Transformers, I just wish today's producers can capture the "magic" better, not just flashy

Share that info with other retro fans. Also on Blockbuster ONline. Show these online rental places an increase in the amount of Retro Streaming. Maybe that will get them to get more shows available to us. Copy & paste this idea around to others.
Where did this video come from? Certainly not the original "Filmation" cartoon studios, as the artwork, the characters as shown, even the voices were heavily different. Even Ram-Man, who sounded like the Filmation original, is changed to a tall man, whereas in the original, he stood maybe 4 foot tall.

I've always considered He-Man to be a blatant rip-off of "Shazam!/Captain Marvel". The most obvious is the transformation scenes. Good reason for it cause the original He-Man animated serious was developed by Filmation.. The same company which created the Shazam! and Isis live-action series of the 70's.

@JokerOnFriday.The nostalgia is the main reason behind the 200x neo He-Man shows exsistence, so appreciate that first. You criticize the original without merit, which tends to be very common among your gen or you people. If anything the old show sadly lacked diversity, which the newer shows producers improved, thank God. Hate it love it old school is the coolest, sorry. Say what you want, but one things for sure Teela was better drawn & much more hotter in the original MOTU back in the day.

@JokerOnFriday I will mostly agree with you. Admittedly I grew up in the 80s. But also, I consider myself open-minded, especially to new things. Both old and new He-Man are great. But I have to say, there's a "special something" that was done in the 80's that's missing from today. Something about the "epicness", from the appropriateness of the music to the casting. From the new Star Wars, new Conan, Bay's Transformers, I just wish today's producers can capture the "magic" better, not just flashy

@JokerOnFriday My problem with this series is yes it fixed all that was wrong with original, production value, plot holes, they were able to actually use swords as offensive weapons ( the censors wouldnt let them in the 80's) but all that was good about the original they threw away.

Ugh. I prefer the original. I'd like to say no disrespect to this, but I'm not sure if I'd mean it truthfully. I wasn't a kid in the 80s, and I barely remember the 90s (born half way through), but out of all the remakes of old cartoons I've watched or came across on this site, this has got to be my least favorite. Not the worst, but not the best either. The original is not my fave, but I prefer that to this.

Share that info with other retro fans. Also on Blockbuster ONline. Show these online rental places an increase in the amount of Retro Streaming. Maybe that will get them to get more shows available to us. Copy & paste this idea around to others.

Where did this video come from? Certainly not the original "Filmation" cartoon studios, as the artwork, the characters as shown, even the voices were heavily different. Even Ram-Man, who sounded like the Filmation original, is changed to a tall man, whereas in the original, he stood maybe 4 foot tall.
In NYC, He-Man on midnight to 1 AM, QUBO Channel, 31 point 2 HD, nightly.

This was a much better series than the original. They explained how no one new He-Man was Adam, unlike original when they looked virtually alike (cept for a tan), Skeletor wasn't such a wuss in this series either. Too bad the Network Bean Counters canned the series before it was complete.

I've always considered He-Man to be a blatant rip-off of "Shazam!/Captain Marvel". The most obvious is the transformation scenes. Good reason for it cause the original He-Man animated serious was developed by Filmation.. The same company which created the Shazam! and Isis live-action series of the 70's.

@JoakimfromAnka actually it makes more sense.I mean with the old series it was this whole clark kent /super-man thing going on.Adam had about the same build, same haircut, same sword yet noone seemed to make the connection.He and Adam were never seen at the same time but noone seemed to ask any questions.With Adam being a squawny tkid and he-man being ..well he-man the secret identity thing makes a whole lot more sense.
