  • plastic paddy...hahaHa

  • I was gonna say something profound about my appreciation of Irish music and culture, although I only have a 16th Irish blood... but I'm as drunk as drunk could be and I found a pipe upon the chair where my old pipe should be. So, I called me wife and I said to her would you kindly tell to me... etc... I'm gonna have more rum... Gnight

  • I love this song and all I've heard from the Tossers. I like to refer to myself as an American of Celtic decent as I am an easy 90% Scottish, Irish, and a little bit of Welch. I hope that Scotland votes for independence in their upcoming referendum, and I hope Ireland can be united. I would love to see Scotland, Ireland and Wales form into a Celtic Union somewhat like the European Union so we save what is left of our culture and have a larger voice in the world. Thanks for the great music!

  • @appleby1975 It is Welsh... Welch is a Jelly/Juice brand and I don't think it counts as a nationality. Just so you know... And the Welsh are more Celtic than the English are.......

  • @doctorhardt I mispelled Welsh, I don't know what in the world that has to do with anything English, nor did I say anywhere that England is Celtic.

  • Talk about some spam here.... Anyways! Thanks for posting the song! Lots of love for you because this is one of my favorites!

  • they are not claiming irish nationality just heritage my grandparents are from Ireland and practically raised me and taught me all about my history and culture and i claim irish pride because my culture is irish and i was raised in irish culture. If anything i feel a much closer relationship to irish culture than American culture do you see where im coming from? just because i was born here dosent mean that me or the people who raised me just instantly assimilated.

  • @gallonofpcp Hey douche mcbag from Ireland who now lives in the states. Are u here on a temporary visa or are u a citizen now? If u have citizenship then guess what... you are an Irish American. U just happen to be fresh off the boat. Much like our ancestors. Be it 2,3 or 10 generations ago. We honor our heritage to Ireland, Scotland etc in their name! So eat my ass with this poser talk! I am a Scottish American. U should be proud that we still acknowledge that!

  • @warheadjaws your a fuckin idiot thats what i was saying bobatdevineuniversethey was the one saying that again your a fuckin idiot hahaha

  • @warheadjaws Hey fuck you why is that directed at me?

  • gallonofpcp - I have benn living in the US for 5 years now & I have met MANY americans who call themselves Irish when they are not Irish, they are AMERICAN! How can someone be Irish if their grandparents weren't even born in Ireland, not to mention their parents? The same goes for those who call themselves Italian! If your passport is not Irish then neither are you!

  • Cracks me up how it's acceptable for an AMERICAN to be "Irish" if they have 0.001% Irish blood in them but no one else! Fact is none of us can call ourselves anything other than from whence the country of our birth, least of all from whence our parents come.

  • @bobatdevineuniverse what are you talking about? give an example

  • @bobatdevineuniverse cracks me up how stupid assholes post shit they know nothin about

  • @gallonofpcp

gallonofpcp - I left Ireland & came to the US 5 years ago & I have since met MANY Americans who call themselves Irish when they are not Irish, they are AMERICAN! How can someone be Irish if their grandparents weren't even born in Ireland, not to mention their parents? The same goes for those who call themselves Italian! If your passport is not Irish then neither are you!

  • who cares if there is a band that originates from more than one country

  • Love the Tossers, this is my favorite song off that album.

  • awsome song irish music is the best espeacially celtic roots of it

  • sounds like one of the pogues songs

  • agghh123 u must not be from boston if cant even spell it

  • this story describes my life perfectly...any other full time musicians will know exactly what im saying

  • the tossers ruke guys!just saw them live in a festival in greece and they were great!!gratz to them

  • I applaud both the Tossers and Flogging Molly for making music that orginally had no market value. No band is ever better than another, unless you think your opinion is superior to others (elitism). I enjoyed the Tossers more as a teenager and Flogging Molly more in my mid to late 20's. Does anyone know if they have ever played together?

  • Neither of these bands have "market" value. Thank the internet for bringing you this style of music, for its been around for a long time and always will be.

  • @matty323 hmm, seems my thoughts on the general public and it's tastes or lack thereof holds true today like it did 30 years ago...fuck market value, I listen to what I want and the rest can fook arf! I listent to punk, filking...REAL blues, electric blues funk, junk (funk and jazz mix) Jazz, western swing etc...fuck the markets.

  • why does everyone compare tossers to flogging molly and DKM? its all good

  • I also don't understand why everyone compares them. They're all good in different ways.

  • Specially since Flogging Molly is Scottish punk, not Irish... DKM is good and all, but the Tossers seem to have a more folkish feel. but indeed, they're all amazingly spectacular!

  • The lead singer of Flogging Molly Dave King Immigrated to the U.S. from Ireland There are no Scots in the band. DKM's piper is of Scottish descent however. Tossers are primarily Irish Descent from south Chicago and Real McKenzies are (though excellent musicians) are a bunch of Canucks.

  • damn you realllly know your stuff. that's sweet.

  • It's not like we Canadians of Irish and/or Scottish descent have forgotten our heritage.

  • That's not what I was trying to say at all actually it's just that I don't know if any of the Real McKenzies have origins of Scottish or Irish.. that's it... I have a number of Lamont friends in Canada whom I call family.

  • @jeffvw29 haha amen to that, in Canada, celtic punk is huge haha.

  • think before speaking mate, "There are no Scots in the band. DKM's piper is of Scottish descent however." is exactly what you said, please reread that

  • meaning none of them moved to the U.S. from Scotland but their parents or grandparents may have.

  • yo, bobzombie33

    your a fucking tosser

  • I love this song!!!!

  • the tossers are a great band, but they can't beat flogging molly, but they come close

  • yeah I think so too

  • the tossers are a great band, but they can't beat flogging molly, but they come close

  • bostin.

  • Chicago South side

  • valley of the shadow of death is a great fucking album

  • The Tossers do it better than any Irish band goin these days. More cheers More Beers!

  • Thanks for this!
