This sounds like nitpicking on this board. I work as an engineer and producer and use virtual instruments and libraries like, VSL Platinum and EWQL all the time. The samples are completely usable and well-voiced and played, and the performance capability of the system is incredible - even in a 5 year old demo. I cant imagine how good it is now.
I work with virtual instruments all the time, so I know how realistic they can sound. However, this thing sounds much worse than I thought; the fakery is immediately apparent. This does not belong anywhere near a live West End or Broadway show, but I'm all for it for use in amateur productions that don't have adequate resources, as long as they don't discourage music education and appreciation.
