I'm a little shocked at your surprise about the empty shelves. If a crisis hits all of a sudden (instead of a subtle and gradual decline) the shelves will be empty of anything useful within HOURS, not days or weeks. Of course, the best answer to avoid the panicking herd is already have everything you need stocked and fortified. As Phil801 says in his "3 Month Supply" vid, your pantry becomes your storeroom, your storeroom becomes your store, and a grocery store becomes a warehouse.

You're right about how quickly the stores would be empty... but I feel that if there were a complete economic collapse that it would turn into total anarchy. The people who have the food would be killed and pillaged by the people who didn't. The ones who couldn't afford a "back stock" of food, would then buy guns and ammunition to take from the people who did. When people are pushed for survival, we turn right back into the animals we are... and will do ANYTHING to survive.
I would rather have a years worth of food in a fortified home with a family armed and trained to defend itself than the alternative. Yes, there will be people that want what the prepared one has and will do anything to get it. But I'd rather be the prepared guy over the the unprepared one (that probably rarely trains with his firearms) who's only options are to starve or steal. Those options can still be taken by the prepared person if they lose their stock.

We had bad weather here earlier in the year and deliveries couldn't be made. Shelves were starting to go empty in a week or so and it was freaking people out. ALWAYS think 'food storage', just add an extra tin of something to the back of your shelves each week, keep your freezer stocked, get a home garden - don't get caught out!

My dad mad a prediction a year before he died, that there would come a time very soon that we would not be able to walk into a grocery store and buy food. I have 6 months of food and water for my family.... well, I have only 300 gallons for my family.... I have 4 55 gallon barrels that were for vinegar, which cleaned up nicely with baking soda (i.e. no smell) for use for storing water... and 80 1 gallon jugs of water. I also have just convinced my Condo association to purchase 2 months of freeze dried food for every resident of the community.... and 1600 gallons of water storage on site.
I'm putting this out there for the survival and prepping community. I use colloidal silver, and experiment on myself in it's application. I had a urinary tract infection, symptoms of burning, frequent urge to urinate. I attempted drinking a cup of colloidal silver for several days There was no noticeable relief. I then introduced CS directly into the urinary meatus and within minutes experienced relief. I gave myself several more treatments and experienced great relief within hours.
CS can be placed withing the urinary meatus in a shtf situation perhaps with the tip of medicine dropper, done slowly and very gently. Wet it so it enters the meatus more easily. I'd suggest people lie down so the CS will hopefully flow down the meatus. So CS applied directly to the involved area worked best and dramatically in this case. Of course everything should be as clean as possible when placing any thing internally.

First, you should know that Wally-world and other major discount retailers normally do most of their business within the first three days of the month. Government checks come in at that time. Second, you now know how sh-t hard the retail workers have to haul out the goods and physically place items on the shelves, even in normal traffic days.Third, I would highly suggest finding a bulk food buying co-op or club.

The items that were wiped out in our local grocery store were eggs, milk, bread, frozen pizza and the Little Debbie cakes! The cookies were starting to dwindle as well! We had a couple of gas stations in town out of gas and the size of our town is around 3200! I did not even think to check the diapers section! It was a wake up call for some I am sure. In S. Korea recently they had a gigantic storm too. Some villagers living in the mountain area got trapped 4 days. But the government sent in aids to look for them bring them necessities including food etc...
But Texas don't have to pay tax. LOL. When there's snow storm, you won't have any state workers to clean the snow and repair the road for you. You can use the private companies but they will jack up the prices so high that you will go broke just to be digged out of the snow. And if you have a heartattack, you can do CPR no your own chest. LOL.
This guy knows what he's talking about. I live in Sweden and even I are slowly building up ie food supplies. It's going to happen and it's going to be ugly. Try to avoid the cities as there will be nothing left to eat there after a few days.
I'm pretty big into food storage and preparing ... my tip on water ... Here in Idaho there is a coca cola bottling plant that sells used syrup 55 gallon drums for $7-8 get a couple rinse them out with water/bleach and fill them up. also rinse out and fill some 2 liter bottles they fit well into back packs if needed.

In 76, I moved form home in S. OK to Central KS, and caught my first blizzard. The locals were prepared, I had a fridge full of beer. Since, I've tried to keep some supplies around, more in recent years. Back home in OK, we also had shelves go empty fast. I've said for years that we are 36 hrs from starvation. This was just a couple of blizzards here, and Katrina taught most folks nothing. We faired pretty good, did run low on tooth picks though. Thanks from all us at Indian Country Farms.
I think you're right about prepping as best as you can with food/water/supplies and I believe there will be an eventual dollar collapse, HOWEVER, I think it will be gradual. I think we'll enter severe inflation, then hyper-inflation, this may start and last anywhere from 1-5 years (like all previous hyper-inflations) so I disagree on your premise that the dollar will collapse like the flip of a switch. There was another video showing the aftermath of a water main break in the northeast, and people were fistfighting for bottles of water. People become animals when things become scarce, and scarce they can become VERY quickly in our JIT nation that is teetering on inflation and bankruptcy!

Your lucky being that far south. All you need is a power inverter and a solar panel. I'm in New York and get far less sun in the winter... I can heat my house with firewood but long term with no gas/electric power usage would be limited to what I can store in batteries. That means only so much water you can pump up a well to wash and clean. People should do test runs to see how efficient they can be and for how long. If you can't even go a week without going to the store your fucked.
@deadman12078 Yes Texas is okay for wind and good for solar. For survival power, a few panels are just fine. For "real power" you'd need a lot. I would not want to be in NYC if that is where you are at.
Went into WalMart after their remodel and there was no selection. Many bare shelves regularly. Asked the clerk and she said they made it smaller to hide the shortage.
thanks to the "just in time" delivery system a lot of the fresh food starts running out at the end of a regular day anyway. I shop at Asda walmart in the UK on an evening and a lot of the time theres no bread left or milk is running very low and a lot of the fruit and vegetables are gone. When I was in there earlier this week it got me thinking there definitely isnt 3 days worth of food here for everybody. Its quite a scary thought.
@lisaloolibell I've seen that happen a long time ago. I agree that Walmart has its JIT down to a science because the products move out as quick as they come in. This benefits them because it reduces the cost of goods sold, and in the case of produce that have a short shelf life, this is a normal event.
Dollar will collapse March-May according to an insider. WATER is the MOST important commodity any of us can have. You can live a while without food but only 3 days without water. China has stolen alot of our fresh water, shipped it over to China.
Stock up on several large quality tarps. Multiple uses in an emergency. Catch rain water. Cover a hole in the roof, broken window in house or car. Emergency shelter for yourself or others. Best to get the reflective silver to help keep things cool. Just thought I'd share a little info. Rope & nails/screws go along with tarps.

Another problem for movement of products is sudden siberian winter-like weather. When even winter diesel it is at the stretch of it´s ability, shops are going to be surprisingly empty also.

HAH ...you don't know just how right you are ...Ilived through Katrina , and without electricity the banks were closed and credit card machines don't work < you could NOT buy food gas water NOTHING without CASH money and it was a MONTH before I got lights back ..Man we were completely dependant on the GOVERNMENT for food ( MRE's ) and water ...Gas was Impossible to find ( Cash only ) and then you waited in line for 4 to 6 hours sometimes In the heat with no water ...better get prepared folks

It's not even that surprising, I think. You just have to look at what people buy whenever there's a holiday coming that has the stores closed for one more day than an average weekend. It's insane.
Last thing we want to do is go to a store during the collapse... If you do not have it you do not need it. Because going to the store during a riot is a good way to get hurt... The last thing you want is to get hurt at the beginning of the great collapse.

Yep, S might HTF over an extended period of time or it could happen in the blink of an eye. If it happens quickly and severely the stores may empty as fast as people can load their baskets. If it is severe enough there may even be all out chaos as the workers leave their stations and looters run amok. If looting starts in mass - don't be afraid to join them - the world you knew is gone and the world of survival has been ushered in.

I went to the WalMart on 380 in McKinney that week to get some milk and bread - they were pretty bare, I've talked to employees there before and they don't store more than 2 days of goods at any given time...everything is automated so they ship active inventory only - if the supply chain were interrupted we'd be screwed...absolutely right 24 hours MAX

I'm convinced that we aren't heading for a financial collapse. It may look that way to Americans but I'm starting to think that we in fact heading for a "take-over". My reasoning is thus, escalating national debt beyond our ability to make even interest payments on, companies not hiring those who are not bi-lingual, the fed suing states that seek to control or diminish their influx of settlers, and my state is deciding whether or not to allow illegals to pay "state resident" tuition rates..
@Ozlanthos Though I disagree, I always appreciate to hear reasonable opinions. I see the fed having to hyperinflate our currency to pay bills & entitlements. You're right about how quickly the stores would be empty... but I feel that if there were a complete economic collapse that it would turn into total anarchy. The people who have the food would be killed and pillaged by the people who didn't. The ones who couldn't afford a "back stock" of food, would then buy guns and ammunition to take from the people who did. When people are pushed for survival, we turn right back into the animals we are... and will do ANYTHING to survive.

We had bad weather here earlier in the year and deliveries couldn't be made. Shelves were starting to go empty in a week or so and it was freaking people out. ALWAYS think 'food storage', just add an extra tin of something to the back of your shelves each week, keep your freezer stocked, get a home garden - don't get caught out!

I have 6 months of food and water for my family.... well, I have only 300 gallons for my family.... I have 4 55 gallon barrels that were for vinegar, which cleaned up nicely with baking soda (i.e. no smell) for use for storing water... and 80 1 gallon jugs of water. I also have just convinced my Condo association to purchase 2 months of freeze dried food for every resident of the community.... and 1600 gallons of water storage on site.

I'm putting this out there for the survival and prepping community. I use colloidal silver, and experiment on myself in it's application. I had a urinary tract infection, symptoms of burning, frequent urge to urinate. I attempted drinking a cup of colloidal silver for several days There was no noticeable relief. I then introduced CS directly into the urinary meatus and within minutes experienced relief. I gave myself several more treatments and experienced great relief within hours.

CS can be placed withing the urinary meatus in a shtf situation perhaps with the tip of medicine dropper, done slowly and very gently. Wet it so it enters the meatus more easily. I'd suggest people lie down so the CS will hopefully flow down the meatus. So CS applied directly to the involved area worked best and dramatically in this case. Of course everything should be as clean as possible when placing any thing internally.

First, you should know that Wally-world and other major discount retailers normally do most of their business within the first three days of the month. Government checks come in at that time. Second, you now know how sh-t hard the retail workers have to haul out the goods and physically place items on the shelves, even in normal traffic days.Third, I would highly suggest finding a bulk food buying co-op or club.

The items that were wiped out in our local grocery store were eggs, milk, bread, frozen pizza and the Little Debbie cakes! The cookies were starting to dwindle as well! We had a couple of gas stations in town out of gas and the size of our town is around 3200! I did not even think to check the diapers section! It was a wake up call for some I am sure. Here in Idaho there is a coca cola bottling plant that sells used syrup 55 gallon drums for $7-8 get a couple rinse them out with water/bleach and fill them up. also rinse out and fill some 2 liter bottles they fit well into back packs if needed.

In 76, I moved form home in S. OK to Central KS, and caught my first blizzard. The locals were prepared, I had a fridge full of beer. Since, I've tried to keep some supplies around, more in recent years. Back home in OK, we also had shelves go empty fast. I've said for years that we are 36 hrs from starvation. This was just a couple of blizzards here, and Katrina taught most folks nothing. We faired pretty good, did run low on tooth picks though. Thanks from all us at Indian Country Farms.

I think you're right about prepping as best as you can with food/water/supplies and I believe there will be an eventual dollar collapse, HOWEVER, I think it will be gradual. I think we'll enter severe inflation, then hyper-inflation, this may start and last anywhere from 1-5 years (like all previous hyper-inflations) so I disagree on your premise that the dollar will collapse like the flip of a switch. Your lucky being that far south. All you need is a power inverter and a solar panel. I'm in New York and get far less sun in the winter... I can heat my house with firewood but long term with no gas/electric power usage would be limited to what I can store in batteries. That means only so much water you can pump up a well to wash and clean. People should do test runs to see how efficient they can be and for how long. If you can't even go a week without going to the store your fucked.

thanks to the "just in time" delivery system a lot of the fresh food starts running out at the end of a regular day anyway. I shop at Asda walmart in the UK on an evening and a lot of the time theres no bread left or milk is running very low and a lot of the fruit and vegetables are gone. When I was in there earlier this week it got me thinking there definitely isnt 3 days worth of food here for everybody. Its quite a scary thought.

This benefits them because it reduces the cost of goods sold, and in the case of produce that have a short shelf life, this is a normal event.

Stock up on several large quality tarps. Multiple uses in an emergency. Catch rain water. Cover a hole in the roof, broken window in house or car. Emergency shelter for yourself or others. Best to get the reflective silver to help keep things cool. Just thought I'd share a little info. Rope & nails/screws go along with tarps.

HAH ...you don't know just how right you are ...Ilived through Katrina , and without electricity the banks were closed and credit card machines don't work < you could NOT buy food gas water NOTHING without CASH money and it was a MONTH before I got lights back ..Man we were completely dependant on the GOVERNMENT for food ( MRE's ) and water ...Gas was Impossible to find ( Cash only ) and then you waited in line for 4 to 6 hours sometimes In the heat with no water ...better get prepared folks

It is entirely possible for the stock market or the dollar to fall overnight based on drastic news, and when everyone awakes they will panic and run the banks and the stores.

However, if the UAE gets pissed at the inflation in America and pulls the dollar off the reserve currency for oil, BAM overnight. Mass panic & selling of T bills worldwide.... World is flooded with worthless dollars. Could go down like that too. Thanks!

Yep, S might HTF over an extended period of time or it could happen in the blink of an eye. If it happens quickly and severely the stores may empty as fast as people can load their baskets. If it is severe enough there may even be all out chaos as the workers leave their stations and looters run amok. If looting starts in mass - don't be afraid to join them - the world you knew is gone and the world of survival has been ushered in.

I got 4 days off that week - no work, just spent time with the family that week - it was awesome...
I went to the WalMart on 380 in McKinney that week to get some milk and bread - they were pretty bare, I've talked to employees there before and they don't store more than 2 days of goods at any given time...everything is automated so they ship active inventory only - if the supply chain were interrupted we'd be screwed...absolutely right 24 hours MAX

@coldkidc Yeah I heard far "North Dallas Suburbs" were not as hard hit. I'm near Midlothian, the stores were ravaged. It was great though 4 days with family. We did a lot of reading. ;o)

I'm convinced that we aren't heading for a financial collapse. It may look that way to Americans but I'm starting to think that we in fact heading for a "take-over". My reasoning is thus, escalating national debt beyond our ability to make even interest payments on, companies not hiring those who are not bi-lingual, the fed suing states that seek to control or diminish their influx of settlers, and my state is deciding whether or not to allow illegals to pay "state resident" tuition rates..

@Ozlanthos Though I disagree, I always appreciate to hear reasonable opinions. I see the fed having to hyperinflate our currency to pay bills & entitlements. That will lead to a dollar collapse in my opinion. Or the UAE taking the dollar of the reserve currency for oil could trigger and instant bank note collapse.

A.P. Great Channel! Same thing happened on the west side by Ft Worth. We lost power for 5 hours and my neighbors were freaking out as well. I've been prepping for 2 years and still have a long way to go. If you haven't seen the videos on the collapse of Argentina, do yourself a favor and watch the 12 short videos listed on you tube. and people say "it will never happen to the USA" Thanks again for sharing your wisdom. Ya know, I'm gonna miss eggo waffles the most when it hits the fan. Well that along side air conditioning heh. I used to agree with you but after a couple storms in my area I purposely drove out in the storm to see the shelves... EMPTY IN A DAY! Not only do the idiots clean out the stores but the delivery trucks can't make it back to deliver the restock. DO WHAT THIS GUY SAYS!!
