  • Onlar senden daha turk kardesim :) nasil konusuyon ama? ayip ayip...........

  • This is FANTASTIC :D so cool.....

  • altyn(Mongol) = altın (Turkish) = golden(eng)

    Duu = Tüür = Song

    Subai = Subay = Officer

but why "Achyk (MG) = Hunt" and " Açık (TR)= Open" ?

Intresting :) i understand some of the words in song.

  • It's probably turkmenian, not mongol. Açık than refers to "achar" - key. Anyway, this song is kinda dummy in lyrics. I'd better wish you to understand the "Ak-burkhan" song (search for Bugotak, The Taiga Man in last dot fm), it's in oirath.

  • @Mordepth not all turkish people are turkic 70 procent isnt turkic in turkiye

  • turkey turkish bugatak= boğa dağ

    i love altai turkic.

  • Nice energy song! :-D

  • English plz

  • @bugotak

    Try Turkish.

  • i really loved altyn achyk...i also listened altai-kai,sabjilar,sarymai,bolot,nohon...and they all have very cool music...altai traditional songs are very very interesting...singers have very different styles...but ihave a question(i had asked it huun huur tu comment page but didnt take a reply so far:)does "kargyraa" mean "crow-style singing"(karga yiri)in turkey turkish?and also i want to learn how many styles in kai?

  • First of all, there's no exact definitions in folks culture. Thus, kargyraa is from 'crow' and also from 'rolling rock sound' etc. The same thing is when a side man tries to define how many variations are in it. Maybe 3, maybe 42, maybe something else. Even the base kargyraa rattle may be 'high', 'low', 'how Kuvezin does', 'how Oidupaa does'...

  • turania.c.o.m

  • it is similiar to turkic music...i like it

  • there is no gypsy country in the world however all world is gypsy they live everywhere

  • is this traditional Altai music?

  • No, Altyn Achyk refers to Siberian Gypsy music with Tatar influences.

  • Really? I didn't know that there were gypsies in Siberia. Is it possible that you write down the lyrics?

  • You didn't know, but they are exist. Just like that mythical gopher. Lyrics is from Ak Vespalar, Turkmenian heritage.

  • Yes, sign up and let me know when you do so I can add you as friend!

  • I remember I created an account there, but forgot it, seeing no meaning in such sites.

  • "Facebook" its like a "my space" site.

  • facebook dot com?

  • Comment removed

  • George, you on "Facebook"?

  • On which one?

  • Bin-boga dagy(thousand bull-mountain)in Turkey.

  • its not traditional at all..

  • Every living tradition is subject to develop.

  • Yes, music can develop and still have it's roots, be traditional. Maybe not in a museum way, but in a living way.

You reminds me of a band called Hedningarna in this way. Espeasially in there early days (first and second record). They are from Sweden.

Any way, your music IS fantastic! And I realy like this tune!

I found your music on last dot fm, don't remember how though ;)

You can add your conserts there too, so we can see where you play :)

  • I have SIBERIAN TALES. Great CD!!

  • Bashtaki enstruman turkiyedeki iklige (ya da yklyg veya kabak-kemane) benziyor.

The enstrument in the beginning looks like iklig (or ylklygh or kabak kemane) in turkey.

  • Thanks for the information I will be sure to ask seller for Coverlar CD-R. I am aware of the meaning of Zhoozhelitsa, its my wife's nickname and her favorite insect. My name is Tony and im honored to speak with you. I hope all my questions dont bother you too much. Im just very excited by your music. Zhoo still has family in Kyzl and I plan to visit one day I understand this is not where you live but maybe its not far?

  • Actually, zhouzhel means "insect" in old-Czech, zhouzhelitsa reminds me "zheezhala" which means earthworm and definitely shares the origin. Beautiful music, anyway...

  • I'll be purchasing at least 4 albums (Siberian Tales) during the next week. Im telling evryone I know about Bugotak (what does it mean?) and asking them to also buy the album. Let me know if theres anything I can do to furthur support you and try to help to get you guys to Canada! I hope you understand GENIUS because thats how I describe this band.

  • When buying Siberian tales online, try to ask the seller to include one 'Coverlar' CD-R for free:) Thanks for genius! This means you understand the music/ Bugotak means 'Bull mountain'. Ups.. Didn't i point it on last-fm page? BTW, do you know that zhoozhelitsa means a big carnivorous beetle?:)

  • cool song and an interesting video.. i can see that buga tak is translated to boga dag in turkish(softening on g's).. so altaic languages is not as different than ours as i expected.. i am more interested in your religion though

  • And what is boga dag? Same? As for religion, i'm agnostic

  • boga dag, the bull-mountain, yes the same meaning.. by "your religion" i actually meant the people of altays.. i'm interested in shamanism you know.. and it would be great if you write down the original lyrics

  • yeah the same meaning boga dag, the bull-mountain.. about religion, i meant the altaic people(and not the orthodox by the way).. i'm interested in shamanism you know, and i really want to travel altais some day..

  • Your enlish is great, I can have my wife (the real zhoozhelitsa) post and translate Russian for us if ever needed. I want you all to know that I find your music VERY powerfull and am sharing it with evryone I know. Does Kargyraa hurt a littlte to all begingers (in throat and eyes water) or am I doing it wrong?

  • No, not great. I stil cannot recognize slangs and write 'as homey'. Of course kargyraa hurts beginners, whether you do it right or wrong. Try khoomei first/ When it comes good, try sensitively move your gullet up.

  • In Canada we have Inuits (natives to the north WAY north) they look Siberian and have a simillar singing style. Do you know of them? Whats dialect (dialects) do you sing in?

  • We call inuits eskimo, but it's more correct that they're different folks. I have recordings of their ensemble 'Ergyron', may put it there if they'll give permissions. Me sing in shor and altai - dialects of northern turkic.

  • There is much common language between the Tuvas, Altaiski tribes and others, and the clans of modern day Alaska. They have peoples named Tapascan (Athapascan), and other commonalities, including languages with many, many, common words. These people live in south central Siberia, 2,000 kilometres from the east coast of Russia

  • Interesting. Will check it out.

  • I also wonder if its best (for you) I purchase album from online shop? Its brilliant I havent felt this way about music for a long time. Thanks!

  • Do it.

  • Sorry for so many questions, but one more wont hurt....I've noticed at the end of a throatsing verse, there is a forced exhale sounding like "Yohh" or sometimes "shudah" can you explain this? Im trying to learn.

  • No hurt, I should speak more english to make it better:) "Shu-de" is a tuvan typical ending for songs, in Evenki it's "ha-ni-ra-ni-na". "Yoy" is a sound which appears when performer weakens breath on correct kargyraa.

  • I just noticed your website (Im kinda new) so I can have my wife translate it for me later.

  • I'd post a link to our english page, but seems that youtube cuts such messages.

  • Yes, it does. Okay. Last dot fm slash music slash Bugotak. Poor english:)

  • Any translations to the lyrics? What is the "Golden Hunt" for? Is it related to the Buddha shown in clip? Is it a spiritual hunt of some sort?

  • The story is like Krylov's "The dragonfly and the ant", somehow adopted to turkic middleage reality.

  • This track is WICKED! I have discovered throat singing from Tuva 3 yrs ago. Are these Tuvian instruments or do other cultures share them? Anyways I need to know more thanks for posting it was a great find!

  • The bowed instrument with horsehair strings (igil, yykh, morinhuur) is wide-spread amond southern siberian folks. Is it the answer?

  • Yes and thank you. My wife is from Kherson and is part Tuvan. We live in Canada where little is known about these great eastern arts. Thanks again for keeping traditions alive and renewed for the rest of the world to hear. I am currently trying to teach my self tho throat sing and enjoy it very much (quite soothing when it doesnt hurt). Are you the actual artist? Ever coming to Toronto?

  • And you are Canada native? How the ways go...

Yes, i'm the actual artist. Never been in Toronto)

  • Yes native Canadian, mother from Scotland and father from Calabria (Italy). This is great music how can I hear more? Do you tour? Canada? Things here are cool, I think there is an audience for your music. I wont be suprised to learn that my friends have already heard you guys. What about the girl, what style of dress and dance is it? Where is video filmed I read but dont know what coutry. Very cool! Come and play in Toronto if the chance comes.

  • Do you tour? Yes. Canada? No, but this depends not on us. The girl's style is gypsy - the song is kinda eclectic. Filmed in Novosibirsk, Russia. Thanks for invitation:))

  • atalardan kalgan muzik,

    kop jaksi klip

  • Sahyp keldym jok. Sen kozhong jesdjyldyk sanaangar?
