Great interview. I've been increasingly disappointed in how these "progressive" organizations simply toe the Democratic party line, or they step just slightly past it at best.

The corporations have so much control over us now, it will take a miracle to break it. Even our judicial wants to relax campaign finance laws. In a way, I think 2012 is going to be that cosmic level make or break for America and perhaps the world. This goes much further and there will be no going back without war.

On that point, I would only say this- It's been alleged for many years that FDR wanted the US in WWII as early as '39, but the congress was very isolationist in that era; so when presented with evidence that a large Japanese attack against us in the Pacific was imminent, he intentionally dismissed this; and as a result, Pearl Harbor was attacked, sending us into WWII. There were many warnings from the Clinton Admin & FBI about Bin Laden, that went unheeded in much the same way...

Okay,thats a little too much. Nobody knew when he would attack,whhere or with what.Same thing with the Japanese. They knew the Japanese was a threat ot various islands in the pacific but not even Nazi Germany who were taken by surprise thought they would go right at a US naval base that close to mainland US.FDR supplied Europe and did prepare for war. It was a smart move with Germany expanding and Japan mad at the US for cutting off natural resources to stop their expansion.

There wasn't evidence it was just speculation that the media didn't question. The only evidence was he had them in the past and photos of trucks and sites that possibly had WMD. Of course they went in with an agenda. It was an attempt to kill two birds with one stone. They used the support from the 9/11 attacks to take out an old foe that was running the region. The Bush administration shortsightedness didn't examine how Iraq balanced the region.A common failure in US foreign policy.
