Pre MC 5: Avid - Red Workflow Part 1

Seems so simple on here... I just went through a RED nightmare, trying to figure out the workflow... I was getting proxy this and that with our shoot, had to just downconvert all the files to 1080 QTs and import... only took three days before I was up and running, haha.

Now, with these QT Ref files, do they just import like P2 files (meaning, instantly there)? And do they 'stick'? P2 files unstick if you don't consolidate to a drive.

While still valid, this isn't the best workflow. I suggest using REDCINE-X or MetaFuze. The Avid/RED landing page has a White Paper on the topic.
