Hey Toast, besides being a free-lance videographer, do you by chance also work as an emergency responder? The reason I ask is you seemed to have a level of compassion for that pinned victim, that is seldom seen in the media industry. Also, thank you for not filming the girl directly for very long... I know a camera would be the last thing I would want to see after being hurt... Stay Safe out there.
hi lift jacks huh??.....nice call...... we also use them on our rescue company.....with a 7000lb rating they are more than enough for most cars and trucks....the only problem we see is load shift durring high un supported lifts. nice work LBFD
well, it said the guy was a drunk driver. so idk man . . . drunk driver pulling over means drive-thru houses. But yeah, people need to pull to the "RIGHT" . . . very important
how did she get under there? she got run over completely? it seems like the only way possible would be that the tires went right over her midsection, wouldn't she be crushed suddenly from that?
Interesting use of a Hi-lift jack.Worked well with the crib-as-you-go being absolutely essential. My department,it would have been an airbag/cribbing show as we prefer them for obvious stability concearns and have a rapid deploy bag set-up for speed assist, but that worked well for you.Good job guys!
We just finished a 3 patient extrication when this lady was run over and pinned. The jacks were used to lift the car with its hot exaust off the patient in a "smash and grab" manner allowing for better respirations (weight of motor off chest)and burn prevention (catalytic converter w/ pipes). She was under the car for only 111 seconds.....less than two minutes. She was able to board her fight back to Chicago 9 hours later. We train relentlessly and know what works fastest and in which order
Not to mention, if this is a Dept video, a potential HIPAA violation. Please, never show patient`s faces on these videos. This posted does fantastic work. I`m sure evenything is Kosher.
This is a classic example of why our fire dept closes the roads completely during a major accident. Look at the conditions...it's at night, everything is a glare, flashing lights blinding you all over the place, it's raining (a real mess and a perfect recipe for another problem).
Firefighters are amazing.

You gotta love CA. The news reports probably blamed the fire truck for the crash. Good job LBFD way to work !!

I guess firefighters and truck drivers have something in common.. they are both blamed for 1000000% of accidents..
then face bullshit lawsuits

he shouldn't have put the camera under the car looking at the patient, that's just going to freak them out...

That is why proper positioning of your apparatus at a scene is critical to ensure firefighter and patient safety.
We need to always be on the look out. That is why we are always arguing with CHP about closing a lane on the freeway.

Is the pedestrian who got struck by the car in the parking lot okay?? Did she survive and recuperate?
Amazing unfolding of events captured here. Woah!
