mistaken! mayu did die but mio is alive!!! at the alternate ending of fatal frame 3 in the credits there were pictures, one of them is kei brought mio to rei's house. =3 iam so happy

Reiko was turned to be the "sleeping priestess" but the man that came in fell in love with Reiko and Reiko had to bear the pain of everyone so then when Reiko was in the abyss... her lover came to find her and stay there with her but as he found her, the monk came behind and of course caught from behind instantly killing her lover. She had the pain of loosing him and took her wrath and "awoke" killing the people inside the mansion who slept

the ending compared to FF2, FF2 more sadly cause mio have to kills her twin sister mayu with her both hands and throw to the abyss to let mayu freedom, that ending make me cry alot.

this ending is not so sad but very touching cause yuu takes rei's curse to him to let rei stay alive, very very touchy.

but 1 question is bother me is that if kei has participat this dream, why he didnt get the curse? he chasing his nieces(bad english) it should has the curse. i just notice rei & miku get only.

at the end, kei dead, miku alive huh? but why kei dies? this question also bother me.

kei didn't die, and yes miku is still alive, at the original ending kei survives so does mio (mayus twin)

Um yes, I was afraid this would happen xD. This was the alternate ending... so it changed some stuff in the game...

Ok so going by the original ending - Kei dies, Miku lives. I think. xD

Mio is dead. Here's how it goes... Ok, so after Mayu's death (Fatal Frame 2), Mio eventually ends up in the Manor of Sleep seeing Mayu. In the process of this she chases after Mayu and ends up dying. In Fatal Frame 3, Kei (Mio and Mayu's uncle) is chasing after Mio. And as we know (or should know) in the Manor of Sleep you are chasing after the loved ones who are dead. If Mio weren't dead, Kei wouldn't had been chasing after her... I guess Mayu wasn't good enough for him to chase after xD

Hopefully that makes sense... If not let me know. Also in a letter you can find somewhere in the game (can't remember where...) It tells of Mio's death.

If i remember,on 1 of kei's nights,if you push the bookcase from the door on the first floor above the partitioned room and get a few items earlier.

It was the alt. ending? I think I can't remember what the first ending was xDD. But there was some different cut scenes than before so... maybe? xD. This was actually my first time doing Hard Mode and the alt. ending is now unlocked maybe I'll watch them both again and get back to yah on that.

yup yup, which is why the game was so unique. it wasn't the "happy ending" that you would expect. the main characters don't get what they want which was to have their loved ones come back with them, so it's a bitter-sweet story/game

yeah,thats what i liked about it,but the alt's happier than the main ending cause kei survives and mio(or mayu,cant remember now) survive,whereas in the main they get spirited away like yoshino
