From 13500 feet (about 2.5 miles up) it takes me about 3.5 to 4 minutes: one minute of freefall and the rest under the parachute. It depends on what altitude you open the chute and how fast you fly. A tandem typically lasts longer: 50 seconds free fall and 5 + minutes under the parachute.

I was a little surprised by how slowly you guys seemed to turn, during relative work. While I did not get to see my cameraperson turning a lot, during my skydive, she did spin me around, in the air, and she did not seem to position herself very asymmetrically.
We can turn much quicker, but the goal here was slow, controlled turns to avoid losing control. And in order to turn someone else, it takes a much different body position and control.
