Ordinarily, this type of scandal should not be aired in the media. Democracy is founded on the right to privacy. However, when these pro family values politicians are shown to have a private life completely at odds with their publicly professed values, they should be exposed as the hypocrites they are. But what IS surprising, is that Governor Palin wants America to believe that when her water broke, she actually boarded a plane in Texas, risking infection and injury to the child she was supposedly carrying, and flew from Texas to Alaska to give birth. Barack Obama was born out of wedlock to an 18 year old mother and a black minister went so far as to call him "born into trash". However, just as in Obama's case, it is ridiculous to burden people like Palin regarding personal matters. Teen sex and pregnancy are things that many families face.
