  • He got thrown through a window for kicking Ozy's butt the first time they met, he credits the Comedian for inspiring his masterpiece during this meeting.

  • He only burned a poster no need to lob him through a window

  • Awful movie, got so bored watching this. Why did they bother?

And why did the comic seem so much better?

  • Chreat movie!

  • the guy playing ozy isnt big enough

  • Ozy laugh for last!

  • Never understood the hate for this movie. It left out alot, yes but what it had followed the novel pretty well

  • I think the same thing Ozymandias.... We can save this world with the right leadership i.e me

  • Best scene. :]

  • lol rorschach looks at dan like 'really? you want to work with them?' :40

  • I LOVE the line he says in this scene: "No, but it takes a room full of morons to think they're small enough for you to handle." The Comedian is just a great character.

  • wasn't captain metropolis still with the crimebusters when that happened?

  • and actually comedian was the real link between the old and new school

on a side note...damn that guy looks like robert downey jr

  • thats what i thought he does look like him XD

  • lol, i thought it was him at first. :D

  • payback for burning a poster=asswhopped and tossed through a window

  • @versalmighty That was the most tragic scene I've ever seen in a movie.

  • @versalmighty true, the bastard got what was comin to him

  • @versalmighty Yeah! Burn my poster and I will kill you man.

  • captain metropolis should have been in this scene (since he was in the book). did they explain what happened to him in the movie?

  • And this is why Ozymandias made his plans for "world peace".

    Great movie!

  • man matthew goode is so bad as ozy

  • do you mean "bad" as in

    1. bad acting,

    2. villainously bad character, or

    3. "bad" as in good?

  • english language is tricky

  • It's weird seeing JDM playing in this movie. As the Comedian no less. However, he is hot playing the Comedian. I've seen bits and pieces of the movie and it looks pretty good from what I saw of it. Sorry, I dont have much time on my hands to watch the whole thing,

  • The Comedian opened Ozzy's eyes, and how did Ozzy pay him? Unfair...

The Comedian understood really more then others, even more then Ozzy - the smartest man. He saw some things which others were afraid to see. So, he is a great hero.

  • I think the term is "Tainted Hero"

The dude had some real problems, and did a lot of damn wrong things.

  • It's your opinion, but I prefer mine :) I know he had some psychical problems but he knew well how to live with them. Strong personality.

  • Skybaby79 : "Killing a pregnant woman in cold blood counts as "how to live with them"

It wasn't because of his problems, It was the way to show true face of Dr.Manhattan, to show that Doc really don't cares of people. It was terrible truth, so that's why there was a terrible way to show it.

Skybaby79 : "I hope prison treats you well when you end up there one day. "

Thanks! It's fuckin' very gentle! You even don't know whom you're talkin' to, but send such "happy" wishes!

    God, help us all...

  • Why it trobles you? What we are discussin' - my life or video? So, let's speak about THIS video. Stop this off-top!

  • another good point why the hell have you people got thumbs down goddamn it!

  • @shirairyuscorpion And you can right?

  • The Comedian is so awesome.

  • "I dont think we should drink at meetings." LOL

Made nite owl look pretty pathetic

Love the Comedian, he's right!!!!! It's a prophecy, Ozzy does become the smartest man on the cinder

  • I wouldnt say AT ALL, but some just didn't feel right.

  • No. It was awesome and fitted the time.

One of the best movie soundtracks I've heard.

  • The only song that didn't fit was 99 luft balloons. Apart from that I wouldn't change a thing.

  • YES, especially the "hallelujah" bit instead of "you're my thrill"

And all that "you will burn ,you will burn in hell" stuff by Muse, not intelligent enough, and smashing pumpkins instead of 80's music! Hello!

    It's supposed to be 1985!!

  • amazing to look at ozy's look at comedian as he leaves, and to think that he eventuallyputs him through a fucking window

  • good call!

  • the movie's humour comes out massively in repeat viewings

  • The more clips i watch the less well it works

  • Thanks for uploding.

  • u do realize hes the one who created silk spectre???

  • Yes, and he watched over her from time to time. As harsh as it may sound, the fact of the matter is that he was a horrible individual. I think the highlight of his life and his coming to understanding happened right before he was murdered. He did good things, but he did more bad things.

  • yep

  • The movies perspective also showed him killing Kennedy, but we all know that isn't real.

  • yaa

  • they said he did savage things because he realized that the human races real nature is to be savage. anyway when someone with a shotgun and a grenade launcher jumps off a hovering jet ship and shoots randomly into crowds of innocent people youll know not to fuck with the watchmen

  • wheres captain metropolis?

  • in heaven. the crimebusters was a stupid idea anyway.

  • my thoughts exactly

  • I love the part where the Comedian burn the map of the USA

  • haha im sorry but ozymandias's face looks so goofy

  • true, plus he was not a good ozzy in the movie, he didn't look right and acted the character wrongly.

  • dont forget hooded justice!!!!

  • the comedian looks awesome, Adrian looks way too young...whats the name of the actor again?

  • matthew goode, and i agree. although he did do an excellent job, the actor was only 30! (Ozy was in his mid forties at least)

but hey, at least he's easy on the eyes! gotta have at least one looker in the movie i guess!

  • matthew goode

  • Captain Metropolis ???????? wasnt this supposed to be a beteen the minutemen and watchmen

  • ya, metropolis was supposed to be the one leading the meeting then he started whining when the comedian burned the poster

  • don't see how it can be a cut-down atomic...it is done mid-sentence!

  • peacelove16 when they release clips, they don't give out the entire scene, they have to cut it down. So although you notice poor editing ehre, when you finally watch the movie, it will be the full scene and the editing will be fine

  • Yeah, I was kind of disappointed with that.

Cap Metropolis is like the link between the old school and the new generation of vigilantes.

  • Poor Editing...Look at :40 Cigar is up toward the Comedian's mouth when he is talking. Camera angle changes and the cigar is gone!

  • There will be 3 differnent cuts of the film for dvd & bluray.

    1.) Theatrical cut.

    2.) Directors' Cut.

3.) Ultimate Cut- This one will feature the directors' cut plus it will have the Black Freighter story cut in as well.

I'm definitly getting the Ultimate Cut.

  • Yep so do I

  • OMG! Did anyone else notice Sally on the Comedian's lighter?

  • @mina352 yes, wow, good eyes!!!

  • Great clip! I love how Matthew plays Ozymandias so reserved yet strong, like in the novel. Also loving Jeffrey and Patrick as the Comedian and Nite Owl.

  • over all I thin its pretty good. Ozzy and the Comedian look and sound pretty good. but I wish Captain Metropolis was there.

  • Ozzy...He has a beautiful voice!

  • I love Ozzy's voice. This actor is the only one who is trying to give something to his character.

  • I'm surprised Captain Metropolis is not in this scene because he is in the movie. But I guess the filmmakers wanted to emphasize the rivalry between Veidt and Blake.

  • true, but it's kinda outa character for Veit to attempt creating the group.

It's probably the only thing they changed that I disaprove of. Aside from that, Kick Ass!

  • ????? wheres captain metropolice?????

im pretty sure he was complaining about his map burning...

  • Liquid epic

  • lol yeah this isn't the full version. the theatrical cut will have the full scene.

  • Yeah, this isn't the final version of the scene. It was censored a bit, and cut down for promotional use. At some point during this scene Rorschach interjects the Comedian's cynical argument with "justice matters", to which Comedian casually replies "Justice is comin' to all of us, no matter what the fuck we do".

Then he goes into his speech about how we'll all be dust.

Don't believe me? Look at the comedian's official facebook page. They have extended sound clips from this scene.

  • Unfortunately, I think they had to cut quite a lot from the theatrical version. Supposedly the extended version will be 3 and a half hours long. That will probably be the true version to watch.

  • they cut it down to 2:45 hours i think

i think for the dvd and blu ray will be the true version...

  • This clip alone was cut somewhat. It self-evident. But it was done for promotional use. the scene will probably be almost in its entirety come March.

  • They cut the clip as a sneak preview. In the first shot, the comedian is drinking and the next shot he is smoking a cigar

  • Stop complaining on the fine details. Hell the comedian's powerful line about mankind in this scene is not even in the graphic novel. And in character no less!

  • so its true... their name is Watchmen not Crimebusters as in the comic....

    hurm...

  • yeah but compared to the changes they could have made, I consider that one reasonable.
