I doubt the anime studio or whatever has the same resources as The Beatles, they probably did their best to keep the feel of the song but change it enough for whatever they needed to. I dont know the circumstances of why it had to be changed. The original is great, but of course this one cant match up, It`s THE BEATLES. I still think this versions good in its own way.

But my dad already had a violin which was at a relatives house, so when he was overseas, he brought it over for me :) anyways, yea, the violin is like a fretless cousin of the guitar. @wbrodie55 alot of beck songs are based off of the r.a.t.m. sound/style :P I know what you mean though, to be honest though, I don't really like being the "spotlight" of school performances, if there was a decent guitarist, I'd let him take over, and just play some funk over on the bass :) it's something which you don't really have to concentrate much on and can just enjoy the music. @KuroTendo well the anime lupin the 3rd uses names that are copyrighted by a french author and so for that reason it can't be released outside of Japan under the same name,in any other country the name "Lupin" does not show up although at one point this copyright was not in place. My main point being,apparently Japan can get away with it but no one else can.

if you watch the dubbed version they even say that tanaka took the lyrics and sorta changed them, so this isn't the exact version of the japanese song. like someone stated earlier they probably didn't get the rights to actually use the whole song or maybe they wanted to re-write it in their own words. either way the song is still good and if you people are going to criticize then you could at least use constructive criticism.

@robloxinator could you not look at it from a "this has been done before" prespective. Think of how shy Koyuki stood infront of 500 people and sung his heart out. (And Miyako, I know of Beat Crusaders but I believe that alot of the music for the anime was actually attributed to the virtual band. A few songs like "Moon on the Water" are exceptions-- and even that had Beck showing on the TV."
Of course english people would be biased with the two different versions. I personally liked the Japanese version more because, although it was mellow, it steadily built into an exciting song and ending. Koyuki demonstrated his guts and developed his own version of the song. It's not about what sounds "better" in english, its about the emotions demonstrated from the song that exemplified the traits of the character. It is an anime after all...not an actual band.
@Boarky I have to agree with you. The english version just doesn't cut it for me. But technically while the people in the anime are fictional, the band that actually does the music for the anime is real. There called the Beat Crusaders.

It's different since I guess they don't have the same licensing issues with the Beatles in Japan as they do in the US. But someone did ask them and that's what they told us.

Huh I just realised, that he say's "Is there anyway or anyhow. Is there any word that John says." Which is weird cause thats a line from the beat crusaders song 50cent wisdom. But they used 50 cent wisdom in the anime as a dyebre song. So they took lyrics from a different song and just swapped them into this song because of the licensing bullshit with the beatles. I guess they were thinking "John Lennon, hmm that fits."

Err... the hell, bro? Fifty Cent Wisdom is a Dying Breed song, performed by the Crusaders just like every other original piece of music in this series - They play it back in like episode 4 or sommat, not at the Grateful Sound. And besides, Koyuki says "I've Got a Feeling" like fifty times during this video, in case you still had some kind of doubt.
It's certainly not an exact cover, but this is indeed I've Got a Feeling. You kids sometimes...

Im a Fan of the series but the thing bugging me is the song ï've got a feeling'' there are 3 different songs used for that one. 1. Japanese version - original beatles i've gopt a feeling 2. english dub - beat crusade 50C wisdom and then 3 this one. Why can't they just put the same song in it. @KuroTendo well the anime lupin the 3rd uses names that are copyrighted by a french author and so for that reason it can't be released outside of Japan under the same name,in any other country the name "Lupin" does not show up although at one point this copyright was not in place. My main point being,apparently Japan can get away with it but no one else can.

if you watch the dubbed version they even say that tanaka took the lyrics and sorta changed them, so this isn't the exact version of the japanese song. like someone stated earlier they probably didn't get the rights to actually use the whole song or maybe they wanted to re-write it in their own words. either way the song is still good and if you people are going to criticize then you could at least use constructive criticism.

(And Miyako, I know of Beat Crusaders but I believe that alot of the music for the anime was actually attributed to the virtual band. A few songs like "Moon on the Water" are exceptions-- and even that had Beck showing on the TV."

Of course english people would be biased with the two different versions. I personally liked the Japanese version more because, although it was mellow, it steadily built into an exciting song and ending. Koyuki demonstrated his guts and developed his own version of the song. It's not about what sounds "better" in english, its about the emotions demonstrated from the song that exemplified the traits of the character. It is an anime after all...not an actual band.

@L1TN1N6 Well, the only reason they had to change the lyrics was because they were unable to get the rights to sing the original version. It's different since I guess they don't have the same licensing issues with the Beatles in Japan as they do in the US. But someone did ask them and that's what they told us.

Because if they sang the original lyrics in English, they would owe royalties to the Beatles, plus first they would need the Beatles' permission. In the Japanese version, you can barely tell what he is saying, so it sounds more like a cover.
