Lanyards serve a purpose.. But I like a pocket clip or let it ride in the bottom of my pocket.. I'm gonna order one of those stoves today.. Hope ya get spyderco.. You won't be dissapointed and no need for a lanyard..have a good trip to Labrador
The piezoelectric clicker is more like what's on a cigarette lighter, bbq grill clickers are much bigger. the clicker on that stove might weigh a few grams, and even if you did cut it off, I doubt you would notice a difference and they usually outlast the lighters fuel source. I'd say keep the clicker on if nothing more than a backup ignition source.
Awesome video man! Great idea on the lanyard, I sure would hate to loose my knife. What would be a great idea is if you made a lanyard out of paracord/ 550 cord and used that so if you were in a survival situation, you could untie the lanyard and use if for a shelter. Thanks and Happy Trails! =-)
I am 9 months into a 14 month bicycle ride around the US. Last month I lost my knife. It was a favorite knife of mine (Buck Lite) that I've had for more than a decade. I now wish I would have tied it off to something. Buck no longer makes this model so I'll have to either find a new fave, or buy it used on ebay

No need to cut the igniter off. Just unscrew the burner and everything comes off. Remember what order the legs go back on though.
