  • this is...mehhhh

  • At 1:30 you're missing a chance to use a sutemi fall for the crank. The fall will provide the leverage. This setup is very common in aikido, called either kata ha gaeshi (aiki jujutsu) or ude garame (aikido/judo). I'm not sure if there are any videos up of the sutemi version of kata ha though, it's a very rare technique.

  • DOES RACE REALLY MATTER TO YOU TRYHARDS THAT MUCH? HAHA U MAD BRO?

  • AWESOME STUFF

  • This move does in fact work.by twisting ones own body and with 2 arms gripping your opponents one, you apply tremendous strength against his hands. unless he outweighs you by 200 pounds the grip will break. uit is common to step towards the arm which you hold and twist while falling essentially landing (bringing him with you) beside your opponent and scrambling partial to side/back control to gain leverage.

  • I am not one to bad mouth any martial art or the sharing of that knowledge. However, after watching this video numerous times I have to comment on the hold. Not the kimura but the hold. Becuase unfortunately as good as that kimura is, a committed hold is not going to break that easily. The kimura is a great idea especially from standing. However, if you do not break the hold first (as that is the threat) the kimura is useless.

  • I cant belive this would work. I would never let go of that grip. Also, I dont see the leverage to push hard enought to open it. ALSO.. if I had that grip around someone.. instant shzaaaaa*SLAM* :P

  • but if ur standing.. the guy can just strike you and ull let go because he still has an arm and legs... and if hes really desperate he could just jump guard and ur lock will be let go... this is why nobodya ttempts standing kimuras..

  • @otakusama17 tell that to sakura when he subbed out gracie with it :P

  • @beaujanglesss Sakuraba u mean...

  • @ghettomav619 simple spelling error, not in school atm am i? sorry if i failed the spelling B LOL

  • how useful if a guy sneaks up on you for a buttfuck......

  • the opponent can just roll and your kimura is gone. You must lock opponents legs before doing kimura.

  • this guy is like the fucking guy from napoleon dynamite. " loosen up your grip" "use your other hand.. no the other hand.. no my other hand"

im quite sure that'll work in a fight

  • GRACIE HUNTER!

  • sakuraba style !!! :)

  • The other guy can simpely counter this by doing a roll -_-

  • @redbanane Just a curious question: did you even watch the video?

  • kopsaj za spodnie bo podarlem ;/ wal jak chuj, nikt ci nie pusci jak juz zlapie typ zza plecow do suplesa, chyba ze ciota bedzie ... 169zl lezysz kurwa

  • @NoTrack007 That's What She Said!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @NoTrack007 sami swoi xD

  • @Dempseyist

    xd

  • Good training vid.

  • This is a terrible move. He goes from a standing position to the the bottom on the ground? all the other guy has to do is hug his opponent's side (which is natural movement anyway) and scoot on top of him to get the mount. I've never seen this move being taught anywhere...

  • @never2twice no actually its not because my frined and i did it on each other and could get out of it and weve been doing mma for over 2 years and we showed it to our trainer and he said it was very affective!

  • @camaroificationable I see what you're saying and I also train MMA and since I started training I was taught to try my hardest to never be on the bottom, no matter how good you are at BJJ. Today's fighting game consists of a lot of fighters using wrestling for takedowns and ground and pound to win bouts and you try to avoid these situations as best as possible. Doing such a move involves 2 risks: possibly losing the grip and kimura AND losing an advantageous position. Different teachings I guess

  • @never2twice i guess wreslters can have better grips and weight lifting matters too in upper arms and ur legs to hold them.

  • kimura japanese you dumfuck, he own brazilian twat helio with that, thats why i hate youre people!

  • @paladindarknite, How about you learn ENGLISH, and get an education, so that when you post a comment...IT WILL MAKE SENSE. IDIOT!!!!!

  • @maestri88 i was going to say the language you speak has nothing to do with your intelect or level of education. then i read some more comments by @paladindarknite and realized he/she probably is pretty ignorant

  • @maestri88 It does make sense.

  • @maestri88

Zapomniałem dodać, że wasze rzuty zapaśnicze i wyjścia są do dupy ;]

Przyjedź do Polski to cię nauczymy walczyć ;)

  • @paladindarknite

    durrrr hurrrrrrrrr.....durrrrr....hurrrrrrrrrr.

I hate disrespectful people like you.

You know NOTHING of martial arts, you twat.

  • @SkemeKOS its faggot why i disrespect the gracies and you! i will find ill behead you!

  • @paladindarknite

You talk complete bollox, you clown.

I cant understand what youre trying to say to me.

    :(

Get to an English class immediately, then come back to me.

    Gracies FTW!!!

  • @paladindarknite yeah judo is clearly the first martial art ever and never borrowed from other arts, oh wait no, judo like bjj borrowed techniques if that bothers you get your head out your ass

  • @paladindarknite and this is why i hate people like you.... Masahiko Kimura had an 80 pound advantage over Helio Gracie and still lasted 13 minutes in a bout with Kimura. Gracie went into the fight knowing he wouldnt defeat Kimura, he just wanted to prove that a smaller guy who practiced Gracie Jiu Jitsu can hang with a much bigger opponent in which he proved so. Kimura was so impressed that he gave him the rank of 6th Dan in Judo which is black belt status. learn your facts amigo

  • Keep the guy teaching these moves in your prayers, he is 28, and suffered a brain stem stroke 2 days before Christmas. He is still unable to move or talk, he just communicates through blinking eyes. Everyone keep Billy Arnold in your thoughts!

  • @maestri88 You should ask him if he wishes to die since recovery is highly unlikely. There are states where assisted suicide is allowed, I recommend that as his suffering is far greater than the minor happiness you get with him still being alive but imprisoned. Peace

  • should i quit japanese jiu jitsu and take bjj???

  • @GregSK8Emerica, it just depends...Japanese Jiu-Jitsu is great but BJJ makes the moves better for smaller guys, creating more leverage, where weight isn't necessarily a factor just technique.

  • @maestri88 i am small, but bjj is alot of money isnt it

  • @GregSK8Emerica, It can be just depends on the trainer, but some are well worth the money.

  • @GregSK8Emerica No, take the real grappling with Judo. Both the tachi-waza and ne-waza(which BJJ watered down and ripped off) are included, and combine that with striking such as linear like Shotokan and Tae Kwon Do, or Kyokushin Karate and Mauy Thai in terms of circular stand up. Focus on speed and being practical, and it all works out :D

  • thanks, now its time to test out on grandma

  • i love using that move whenever i'm not wrestling and actually doing jiujitsu

  • Sakuraba would thumbs up this video ;)

  • In this case, kicking the balls is more efficient

  • Thanks for posting. This move never works for me on much stronger guys, but I do love it.

  • very informative. checkout unicyclehoopster on youtube

  • I myself will use the Kimura to break his grip but I really dont like falling to half guard with only a Kimura.

  • @makoshark9111 falling down in a real situation can get messy. You might hit your head on concrete. Much better to take the other guy's back in this situation. Bigger guy is presumably slower. Take his back. But if all you can do is a kimura? Fine.

  • @itpduder ...OR, you could, um...just maybez...hmmmm, I don't know....actually HIT the guy, such as in the groin or with a back headbutt and legsweep...just saying. Judo ftw

  • @wiggalama Sure, a bitch move like a groin strike in a street fight would be effective. But obviously this is meant for two people in a mutual, respectful fight. If you're going for straight up effectiveness, fuck judo, why not get a tazer or a bat or some shit. Maybe some eye gouges. In organized fighting BJJ shits on judo.

  • @LightoftheWest7 The martial arts are about street fighting in terms of the applied physical, NOT sport. Look the bloody etimology up even. Its pointless to teach a mostly sport and bad technique move when you are use a skilled technique that works on both unconditioned and skilled fighters. P.S. In a real fight, often times you don't have a taser or a bat, but yes I am gettting my conceled handgun license...though where I can go with it is limited too :( Eye gouges are good, BJJ can have sport.

  • @wiggalama which is why I said, "if all you can do is a kimura? Fine."

Brush up on your reading comprehension, boy.

  • @itpduder My entire arguement was that if all you could do was the kimura, even if you where the best on Earth technique wise, it would NOT be fine. :D Its is your that fails at comprehension yound padawon learner :D To relie on one move, especially a SPORT move(unlease you do it Judo ideology, then maaaybeeez), makes you weak against a skilled and sometimes unskilled opponents :D

  • @wiggalama English please.

  • yeah guys, dont critisize these moves until you actually try them. they work

  • @Morgothhhh Yes, but there are many many many different forms and styles of jiu jitsu. Things do get lost in translation. That might be his name, but that isn't necessarily the name of the move.

  • @Morgothhhh It's called four different things in four different parts of the world for four different reasons. Google it before you put something out there which is completely not true.

  • @hidewalmartinc this is just some pathetic faggot.. who cant even attempt this move in his wet dreams.... I mean why do you come here.. when this guy is clearly trying help.. if you're excepting MMA stuff.. go rent a pay per view. these are instructional videos.. I went through these my self.. and they do work.

  • @SaintsRow2OwnsGTA4, thanks man appreciate the defense, these are just some uploads of my sensei's lessons, gonna add more soon

  • dude shut the hell up xD no one cares.

    its beat

    not beated.

  • @SenorCali BJJ doesnt work like that

  • Nice move, what belt are you?

  • @J90JAM the instructor is a brown belt

  • Why do people talk when they dont know what they are talking about or even do jui jitsu if you guys are so good then make your own video

  • @lariata89 why do people think that bjj is like karate or kung fu where the stances and techniques are set?

  • you're a good teacher!

  • SenorCali, there is more than more then 1 move in mma u know.

  • doesn't the kimora go the other way?

  • looks like a good vid to me!

  • and what experience do you have???? hhhhmmmmm

  • wanna see this guy in action? watch billy arnold and the flying triangle her on youtube!

  • Just watched that, it was pretty impressive!

  • like i stated just sweep his leg out from the side and take the sub to the ground if your not strong enough to finish it standing, you can use leverage on the ground

  • What if there slighty stronger than you, but your more flexible.

  • you can just fall with it and go deeper like on the ground, thats the best thing to do if you can't finish it.

  • what if the guy is really flexible

  • nice i can break my sisters shoulder now thanks man!!!

  • ROFLM FUCKING AO

  • wuts so funny man lol

  • hahahahhaha thats the funniest shit i ever heard

  • haha i know right? lol she's scared of me now :P

  • @damexicanjordan

you dont know how much that made me laugh.........

  • @damexicanjordan jason miller just did that

  • the grip just allows you more manueverability, its easier to change your grip around, if you dont have to open your hand

  • what is the reasoning for not using the thumb?

  • thumb is weak

  • you can break your thumb if you get your arms tied up

  • Thanks I've been wondering how to do this today.

I learned it then forgot so here i am!
