  • the final quote is about the art of dying is the best thing i've ever heard in my life

  • Comment removed

  • when bruce says "may it be well with you" , it reminds me of his death, he died so young, yet unexpecteldy.

May it be well with you, Bruce lee. RIP :(

  • "Like everyone else, you want to learn the way to win, but never to accept the way to loose. To accept defeat, to learn to die, is to be liberated from it. So when tomorrow comes, you must free your ambitious mind and learn the art of dying."

  • @Thelonelyshepherd1 Yea I can't wait the day mayweather gets defeated!!

  • @AraArsenJan

    Then what will you dooo?

  • Thanks for posting this, I used watch series when I was kid.

  • the greatist moves are what most americans call cheap shots

    1 crotch kick/punch/grab

    2 hair pull

    3 biting!

  • well when your in a possision that requires you to do one of the three or all of the three than do it

  • you forgot eye jab and eye poking

  • be water my friend.

    ahhh bruce is awesome :D

  • Bruce says the coolest thing at the end of this!

  • Correct, kennylenny40. Very few individuals are willing to except their own death. Master Lee stands out from most other teachers of MA because he had made the psychological leap of understanding to accept his own death without fear. This can only happen through a deep spiritual inner transformation. Sadly this aspect of combat is missing from contemporary MA teaching, the ego prevails and practitioners dwell in illusion.

  • Well said.

  • BITE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Borat is that you?

  • aiiiyayaya ya odies of my tough noW all gOne... Woot !!! the bestiality grRRr,,,,.

  • Thank you, master...

  • Bruce was instrumental in bringing aspects of Chinese insight into the western world through the medium of movies, but little of these words of wisdom are actually his own insights. Bruce just did a tremendous amount of reading of legends like Chuang Tzu and Lao Tzu. Peace through acceptance of all outcomes. Taoist principals. Bruce just wove this into fighting. His own relentless ambition drove him to distraction and stress,so in his own life he didn't really live by these words.

  • have you read his biography??

this scene just shows the philosopy of accepting nature - you can give all you have, but when you lose you have to accept in this moment or you are blind

you can give all you have as result of your mindset

but you cant always win as a result of your mindset

  • In saying something like that...you lose to Bruce Lee many times over.

  • its a joke you dumb fuck gtfo of here

  • It's a dumb joke "you dumb fuck."

  • heheheehe....good one :)

  • JUST AMAZING!!!! he's tha master gotta love bruce lee, The immortal dragon, I wish he still were alive today, He died so young. he was and are still the master,

  • Too bad Brent didnt have Bruce Lee in the Beaneth of The Planet of the Apes.

  • I love the quote "If you try to remember you will lose"

  • Too bad Brent didnt have Bruce Lee in the Beaneth of The Planet of the Apes.

  • think of everything he could have displayed and taught us if he haddnt passed.....buy the tao of jkd good book

  • haha bruce just blew my mind maaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!! WHEW

I wish this show made many seasons, it would have owned

  • This episode was pure Bruce Lee, the co-best presentation of his fighting and philosophy ever put to film, sharing the honors with certain scenes in Enter the Dragon.

  • bruce lee the best fighter rip

  • If he were alive i would've payed any price to get a lesson of Jeet Kune Do. This man is a pure genious.

  • Is it any wonder this guy Bruce Lee is loved so much. The best. When he talks you listen. So wise.

  • these are true lessons i try to put them to use in my life anyway possible altough its not that easy

  • man, i wish he was still alive so i can shake his hand.

  • What he says at the end...maaan...it's so true.

Everybody wants to be at the top and have something brilliant tied to their name, but whose willing to let it all go and accept their reality? It takes a lot to accept where you are. But the beautiful thing is that once you know where you are, you can change. But who wants to admit that they don't have it all together?

I hope more people will watch this and appreciate Bruce Lee as a humanitarian...and not just a "kung-fu fighter".

  • So true. There's a reason why there's a statue of him in Bosnia.

  • I agree with Tryezz. The reason why we will always be able to watch him is because he was completely authentic. He could do everything you saw him do: he had the body of a 20-year-old and the mind of a 60-year-old. There are too many examples where the persona of a performer is completely different from the person, but with Bruce Lee you get the feeling that the persona and the person were the same. There was nothing phony about him. And he was wise. RIP.

  • thats very true man, bruce lee on screen was the bruce lee in real life he didnt change for anyone

  • Where u guys from? Do u guys know how amazing it was for a non-white person shown on tv?

  • Bruce certainly opened that door, he also introduced the west to the Chinese culture and secrets

  • Yea, i mean especially Kayto in the green hornet, people were shocked an asian was on tv.

  • fuck you bitch a lot of asians were on tv before him.

  • FALSE MALIERIN, YOSOY IS RIGHT ON.

  • shut bitch your facts are mixed up.

  • rofl stfu u kno nothin

  • wtf do you know asshole.

  • In roles of note? In roles of notice? Not as far as I can tell, not on American television. I was under the impression were more likely to see an Anglo playing an Asian than an actual Asian actor.

BTW there is a documentary out right now called Hollywood Chinese that covers the history of Asians in the American film industry. I think that it is worth taking a look at. (there's an interview with Nancy Kwan regarding the doc on Youtube)

  • bruce lee in heaven teaching 2pac how to punch a hole in a holy tree and pac is teaching bruce how to rap some good shit

  • lol!

  • man fuck u BlackJackLanza just form the comment u posted i can tell u dont no shit about martial arts so stfu u dick fuck by the way bruce lee will fuck ur shit up and have some fucking respest for the legend

  • BlackJackLanza, I'm sure you are trying to be funny but you sound like an idiot. Against Bruce you'd have no chance.

This episode illustrates JKD probably better than anything else available on video. Just Sifu Bruce being Sifu.

  • Your sorry ass was probably born in the last 20 years. You don't know shit about real martial arts, because if you you did you wouldn't be saying shit about Bruce Lee. Your probably into that loser bruser UFC shit. That's not Martial arts, thats cockfighting.

  • finally someone who is a real martial artist....we know that the original form was intended for combat

  • i was born in 1984, and i know, as with any other martial artist, that bruce is the greatest there will ever be. age has nothing to do with it my friend.

  • sorry but i find your UFC cockfighting rant kinda ignorant. yes BlackJackLanza's comment was dumb but so was your cockfight comment. UFC has rules, any combat sport that has rules should never be compared to cockfighting

  • i think that you should listen to your responses. first of all if mr Lee were alive and you attacked him he wouldn't let you get close enough to hit him. hence jkd's namesake the way of the intercepting fist!

  • if you watched part 9 i think? he easily kicked that guy straight to the wall 15 feet away. he maybe little and skinny, but his strength and technique was phenomenal. he had the quickness of a cat and power like a 275 lb body builder. bruce lee is considered the best because there hasnt yet been anybody, pound for pound, able to match his strength and speed

  • lol Pilates..that's so gay

  • incredible

  • no way! he was the best fighter but the fucking assholes killed him for studio's money!!! what a shame!!! if he were in china he could live a long

  • warner bros. offered bruce a better deal with enter the dragon he didn't need lo anymore and low lost a big chunk of the money he would have made had bruce stayed. if thats not motive I don't know what is

  • @Shanethefilmmaker bruce actually kick lo to the curb during way of the dragon

  • @Kingdjack3000 that is true, he quit after fist of fury/chinese connection over both racial and creative disputes, but despite making his own movie, the deal with WB wasn't just gonna get him recognized in america again but also set him and his family for life. making him free to finish up what he planned to do, sadly he didn't live to see it.

  • @Shanethefilmmaker true some co work said wei can be a dick game of death would have been awesome with the verison he was trying to get done had he lived

  • @Kingdjack3000 "a dick" is a bit of an understatement, there were rumors that wei tried to get Lee arrested for threatening him with a knife, and when Jackie Chan left Brucesplotation Wei threatened to send triads against him.

  • the lo which I am referring to is Lo wei the director of big boss and fist of fury.

  • AHHH!!! MAn!!! Why the hell didn't you post the whole

    episode from begining to end!!!

  • Did the blind guy win the fight then?

  • can one imagine bruce lee on tv for two seasons as caine?

he would have been huge either way.

  • Now I am 100% convinced that Bruce Lee would have played "Kung Fu" protagonist Kwai Chang Caine perfectly.

  • tru but good old fashioned racism took care of that. now we'll never know.

  • @Elementa2006 of course he would have played it perfectly he created the character, just like stallone did for rocky.

  • "Water can crash?"

    "Learn the art of dieing?"

Don't you think he took it just a bit too far when it came to his driving skills?

  • hey man he meant overcoming your fear of dying....

  • Like I said. Not exactly the sort of person you want driving near you on the highway, is it.

  • The art of dying? Islamic suicide bombers are the masters of it!

  • The difference is that they prepare to dye to cause fear. Bruce teaches to be ready to dye in order to live freely.

  • lol!!!This is towards to Entropy56's comment.^_^

  • bruce lee doing grappling techniques man... truly father of mma...

  • Yes, and not only that he was going over eye gouges and biteing!! Real life fighting techniques. The guy was 60 years ahead of his time!!

  • Some people makes fun of what he said about "water"...but think about it...he's dropping true wisdom...

  • well it is wise because water is the softest substance yet it can penatrate the hardest of rocks, it can adapt and you cannot grab it

  • Man!

    Thanks for this.

It was a treat and a lesson.

    Again!

    Thanks

  • bruce almighty.
