RoR is LOL in japanese. All it had was hype. Thats cool because the rest of us can mock you. hahahaha baahahahahahahahahahahhaa hahahahahahhahaa. I do not find it amusing seeing brilliant programmers with great careers promote ruby, while build unstable web apps, and get indignant if anyone says anything about it. People, ruby is is a waste of time. Any second year at comp sci could make a compiler and get it to run a motley crew of script languages functioning as a OO language.

he is right that it has a stigma of being unknown and mysterious.. and therefore too complicated or time consuming to learn. I didnt realize it was open source. That puts it in a totally different light for me :)

@dimmy1334 Man tell me that it isn't that hard... because i was motivated to learn it, but with comments like yours.. it kinda scares me.

Do you think it requires too much time to learn? I mean i one could build cool stuff with Java in 3 months or so... of course it requires more to become a pro.

But really how much time do u think it requires to build cool stuff in Ruby/RoR ?
