Props, man. That is one sweet shotgun. I'm building a similar build of an 870 tactical with a choke for skeet and any unfortunate soul to burst through my door.
Nice set up if you wanna get into the more "Tacticool" look. I'm sure for some shooters it has its uses. But me I like to keep it simple. But hey it looks great!
Thats a nice set up but I would change a few things. I would have put the Burris AR-F3 Fast Fire mount to raise the fastfire red dot to co-witness with the flip ups, rather than use that riser. Also I don't care for the railed forend or vertical foregrip, I would go with the hogue overmolded forend. Also seems like you under utilized the quad rail on the end of the rhino rail. I am interested in what you did to adapt the 4-shell holder to the rhino rail.
YESS!!! By aligning the stock with the barrel, you virtually eliminate muzzle climb. This is the same theory that was applied to the M1A1, creating the modern M16 rifle and M4 carbine. This shotgun IS badazz. Who care if it looks a bit unusual, YOU NEVER LOSE SIGHT OF YOUR TARGET...EVEN WITH AN 870!
@DMarc85 i know what your talking about, but it wasn't first applied to the m1a1. The in-line stock concept was invented by Melvin Johnson and first use on his gun the M1941 Johnson machine gun. Also the bolt design from Johnson's M1941 Johnson rifle and the inline stock from Johnson's M1941 Johnson machine gun were incorporated into the m-16.
i have seen the uuhh, cavalry arms adapter its also pretty neat. but i think its heavier than mesa's high tube.... can someone make a video comparing all adapter products similar to the high tube... :)
plus!!! misery, you did a great job on your 870!!! its awesome!!!!!
Nice!! I did a few things to my Mossberg know I Messed some things By leaving the Tri-Rail & Flashlight on and taking the Barrel off to clean it Know the HeatShield moved about 1/4 inch up. How do you clean the Barrel on that thing ?
@MeatSmudge yeah i would definitely have to agree with you there, there is absolutely no need for half of the accessories on that 870. That full length rail system just adds weight and turns a practical shotgun into a overly heavy impractical one. I mean are flip up iron sights really a necessity on a tactical shotgun, i think ghostring sights or a traditional front bead work fine.
Would the adapter mount sureshell that you have on the right side fit on the left side as well? I just bought a high tube adapter and I really dig the rhino rail system but only being able to carry the ammo in the gun is kind of deal breaker for me . . .
@miseryXD45 Yes there are up to 8-rounders that we can mount on the left side of the 870. If you are using the rhino rail it will need to be adapted for it.

@kde92 The stuff bolted to the outside of the 870 is only a small part of what makes it Big Bertha. What really makes her tick is the lengthened forcing cone, polished chamber, and hand fit internals. In this video you are getting to see the guys shoot the gun, you are just missing out on seeing what kind of groups these things shoot down range. Check out our website to see what all goes into making Big Bertha.
Wow! I'm planning to get my 870 on steroids just like yours. The rhino rail looks really awesome. I'm also including a surefire picatinny forend on mine, then again it might be unbalanced with all the major accessories on the front end.
How's the overall weight? Just concerned coz' it might be very heavy. Thanks for sharing the beast!
@EwFreDDe That's rubbish. The second shooter cycled the action too fast. Yeah it still worked but the others seemed to me to handle the the shotgun much smoother.
they call it the "compinsater"

I love a good tactical shotgun, but man, there's 20lbs of extra junk hanging off that weapon and not a bit of it makes it any more lethal...
