@bakersman12 yo man you are really goodat teaching that and when i was a jazz band i got this stuck in everyones head yay hahahaha you should do a lesson on defy the laws of tradition if you know it.
Haha nice! I originally started to learn Primus to tick everyone off. But then I started to love them. I haven't tried learning that song yet, but I'll try it and see how it goes.
Really nice work there. After programming myself to play machine gun triplets for the past few months, I must admitt this new technique was pretty tricky to grasp at first!
That's understandable. Just practice slowly. And don't get frustrated! It takes time, but you can get it. Just practice slowww until you get it. Then speed up just a little more and more.
i cant figure this out...are you mutting the string all of the strings with your left index finger? and how r u getting that tapping sound without making a note come out?
I'm using my index, middle, and ring fingers on my left hand mostly when I hit it. When you hit with your left hand it makes a thump sound.
When I mute the strings with my left hand, I use my index finger, or all of my fingers. Do whatever is most comfortable. As long as something is touching the string to mute it, it will be muted.
Thanks for your videos. Always thought Primus songs might be to hard for me to play, but with your videos I learned how to play this and "Jerry was a Racecar Driver" in a half an hour. They were both a lot easier than they sound...
Thank you. And yeah, some of them are pretty easy to play once you actually know how to play them. A lot of songs are like that really. It's just getting to that point of figuring it out/knowing how to play it that's the hard part.
that's brilliant! I've been struggling with that intro/verse riff for month and was able to do it within 5 minutes of seeing this... thanks man (Y) :)
You explained it well! Nice!
