  • You explained it well! Nice!

  • You are probably my favorite person on youtube. Every Primus song I know i've learned from you. Keep up the good work, man.

  • @Tetsuo964Pinocchio

THank you, seriously. That means a lot to me. I'l try and make more when I get home in a week.

  • missing wynonas big brown beaver :(

  • Thanks so much. This video helped me with the bass solo/bridge.

    Thanks alot! ^_^

  • what kind of bass is that?

  • it's normal triplets in the begining right ?

  • thanks man this video was really helpful.

  • this is hott. i am breaking character one time to say you are actually a sweet teacher, keep it up dawg. xoxo

  • @seventeenthree

Wow, thank you. I really appreciate that man!

  • @bakersman12 yo man you are really goodat teaching that and when i was a jazz band i got this stuck in everyones head yay hahahaha you should do a lesson on defy the laws of tradition if you know it.

  • @AxCanadianxAirsofter

Haha nice! I originally started to learn Primus to tick everyone off. But then I started to love them. I haven't tried learning that song yet, but I'll try it and see how it goes.

  • Really nice work there. After programming myself to play machine gun triplets for the past few months, I must admitt this new technique was pretty tricky to grasp at first!

  • @ReadyAimDuck

Hah, yeah both this an My Name Is Mud were hard to grasp at first. I've been trying to do the machine gun myself. Trying.

  • my problem is that i try to keep my index on e but sometimes comes up when my other fingers come up too

  • @1upShroomGuy

That's understandable. Just practice slowly. And don't get frustrated! It takes time, but you can get it. Just practice slowww until you get it. Then speed up just a little more and more.

  • i cant figure this out...are you mutting the string all of the strings with your left index finger? and how r u getting that tapping sound without making a note come out?

  • @xpier0

I'm using my index, middle, and ring fingers on my left hand mostly when I hit it. When you hit with your left hand it makes a thump sound.

When I mute the strings with my left hand, I use my index finger, or all of my fingers. Do whatever is most comfortable. As long as something is touching the string to mute it, it will be muted.

  • Thanks for your videos. Always thought Primus songs might be to hard for me to play, but with your videos I learned how to play this and "Jerry was a Racecar Driver" in a half an hour. They were both a lot easier than they sound...

  • @YoSoyQueso1812

Thank you. And yeah, some of them are pretty easy to play once you actually know how to play them. A lot of songs are like that really. It's just getting to that point of figuring it out/knowing how to play it that's the hard part.

  • what tuning is this played in

  • @Wick3dSIC

    Standard.

  • that's brilliant! I've been struggling with that intro/verse riff for month and was able to do it within 5 minutes of seeing this... thanks man (Y) :)

  • @MysteriousDrF Welcome!

  • wrong

  • Pretty helpful since you can't tell wtf Les is actually doing from the concert footatge. He's a stealth bassist lol.

  • @xeror hahaha a stealth bassist

  • nice can't wait to try it out!

  • Thanks for the lesson! Very helpful!

  • great lesson, this one will take me a bit of practice to get down...... Thanks again for posting.
