This was always one of my favorites; hard to believe an 18-year-old 'boy' wrote this! I'm so happy for Dan that he found his "Lady" in Jean <3! She is a LADY in every way and obviously Dan's soul mate. RIP Dan
Dan's vocal on this, in my opinion, is his best! Very strong, almost gritty, very clear and as "they" say today, very "organic". This is the best find I have found in awhile. Thank you JMeagle101...you done good!!!
...one day, for a sinless instant, the bridge through dreams carried me singing to the sky; coaxing cloud silhouetties into pictures of the lady i've been looking for...
Home Free~an unheard album (or musician) until my first love introduced me to Dan and the gift of this album. Hooked immediately & never understood why others I tried to introduce to Dan's music just were not interested in the least. I've loved him since the '70's; I love him still. Gone but never forgotten through his music & wonderful uploads such as these (thank you, Bill), Dan remains unsurpassed in my opinion. I wonder if anyone picked up to his room # he sang into this song once?......
@SoothesMySoul Home Free was my first album of Dan's when it first came out in 1972. I have to admit that I purchased the album because I thought he was cute..LOL Then I heard "Stars", and that is, as they say, "all she wrote"...I got it!
A wonderful one also Bill. I love them both. But then which of Dan Fogelberg's music, can one not Love. Its great to have this here. It is beautiful. Maricet
love the album.. usually not a live album type of person.. but this one is very good.. it's just not one concert.. Love hearing him live and so grateful that had the opportunity to see him a few time .in his prime and again just a few years before he became ill.. love ya Dan..
@TheSaverino ... absolutely no doubt on live performances and being in the audience... the live album that Dan did produce was done well, many other bands/groups etc.. had distortion and fans yelling and screaming out that it took away from wanting to listen to it...the only way I can describe my experience at his concert was like a religious experience... it was like having a out of body experience,, he was so darn awesome!!

This has to be the most beautiful live version I've heard. Dan brings a mature sound to an early work - there's a certain warmth to his voice which makes you go "hmmm...". Beautiful - thanks for this one, Bill.
Beautiful Bill....the live stuff really brings home how much I miss Dan. Selfishly, I'm feeling sorry for myself that I'll never get to see him perform again....
@TheSaverino ~ I'm with you ~~ Dan's voice was like a fine wine; becoming richer, fuller and amazingly better with age.

Back in time again with this. I'm so glad Dan finally found the right lady in Jean.
Have loved this song since the '70's; still do, always will.
