In Too Deep = Beautiful Music. This is in my top 5 of all time favorites. Not a lot of songs better then this, Maybe "Just Remember I Love You" by Fire Fall.
Every day I listen to songs like this that were popular when I was little and it just makes me feel like music today is so empty, one-dimensional, and lifeless. Sucks being a geriatric I guess..
@jankyjay253 also sucks to be a youngster who wishes she was born 2 decades ago... lucky for me i was raised listening to songs like this so i'm glad i haven't missed out.... n yea u r right.. most music today is meaningless
Beautiful song but this should have been on a Phil Collins solo album not Genesis. A lot of Invisible Touch sounds like his later solo material, just sounds more like it's for his liking.
American Psycho brought me here. I knew of the song before, but, originally, I didn't like it.American Psycho encouraged me to give it a second look, and NOW I think this song is AMAZING. I have seen the error of my ways. I don't know why I didn't like before.
I don't agree with Pat about this being their masterpiece. Duke and Foxtrot are still my favs, but I do prefer his business card to Van Patten's. wtf does Bryce know anyway. he can't get into Dorsia.
I'm a fucking antique I owned this Album on vinyl then on cassette[Cro2], you call it classic I call it the last generation of real music. thank god cobain died young.
People who where born in the 80's knew this song LONG before American Psycho, I came here because I love Phil Collins never Heard or Seen American Psycho and please try again... OneNation
American Psycho remembered of the song because it´s a girlfriend of mine favourite movie. I owned a 'Genesis' album from Genesis once but then I lend it to someone and never got it back. 'Invisible Touch' and the 'We can´t dance' album are my personal favourites.
They usually say British musicians never die like Def Leppard, Mick Jagger, Led Zeppelin and this talented man Phil Collins. He will always be one of the greatest legend and his music will live forever.
In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it.

@LexPhilogus Mad? Yes, I guess I am. So are most people born in the 70's and 80's because we all know what Great music is all about and Today's Music is complete Garbage.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent.
I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe.Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument.
Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock.

And just as we began laughing and feeling not so nervous with each other...I saw my Mom pull up in her car...I knew it was goodbye until he was in high school with me (he was a year younger than me), but I said goodbye, and turned away, tearing up, and he called out my name, and when I turned around, he hugged me. Mom drove to a small convenience store, and left the radio on for me as she went in. "In Too Deep" was on, making this 14 yr old girl, in love so badly it hurt, cry a million tears...
Last week of May, '87... I was spending my last year of junior high in the band room. I had loved him since I had set eyes on him the very first day of that year...I was a little pushy at times to get him to pay attention to me...Then, on that very last day, as I sat alone in that huge room looking up at the instruments...He walked in...It was the last day of school, so hardly no one was still there, but sure enough, my first love sat down beside me...we talked about small stuff like summer...
@freestylexgp Dude, lighten up. He knows what he speaks of. It's hard to get over something like that. Especially if you loved the girl. I can tell that you don't see it, but, it's a very hurtful experience. you'll know why when it happens to you. Everyone goes through heartbreak, but, that doesn't mean that it doesn't affect everyone differently. It hurts dude. Laugh if you want. but, think of how you would feel if it happened to you.
i will always remember what she said to me......"I'm just not interested in you sorry"..... never gotten over that..now I've always been afraid to fall in love again...
I heard this on the radio and I recognized Phil Collins' voice but I didn't know this song. But I never knew he was in a band, so it took me ages to find this video!
